    I've been struggling with beadlocks... this advice and demonstration was really helpful - thanks for taking the time to make it.

    Wow! These take tremendous amounts of patience. One took me like 30 minutes. Thanks for the tips!👍🍻

    They ARE extremely difficult. Regardless of how quick they go together on camera it took me 40 minutes to get one done halfway decent. Sucks because rc4wd stuff is great but I will never again use these. At the very least the could include 2 screws that are slightly longer just to catch the hex.....these suck

      100% this is super difficult and the screws are not long enough to get it started. I am 30min in and I cannot even get a single bolt to contact. So disappointed

    I ordered two sets of these. Threw them right in the trash. Such an unnecessary headache. Literally every other wheel in existence is 10x easier to install tires on.

    Thanks for the video - very clear what to do. this week was the first time I used the stamped beadlocks - installed tires for myself and my son. putting on the Goodyear T/A KM3 was fairly easy like in the video. But the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R - that was a pain. Not sure if the rubber was slightly thicker on the bead but I could not get the two parts close enough together to get the screw started. After a long struggle, I needed something to push on the black part to get enough force to get the two parts close enough to start the screws. I used a PEX connector, removed the threaded part so it was flat and wide and put that under the backside of the wheel and placed on a flat surface and I could have enough force to push the front plate down so the screw could reach the backing piece. Just another DIY hack if you get stuck. You could use anything that fits to do the same- I happened to have the PEX connector I had actually modified for something else. Hate to even admit how long I was trying to get those MT/R tires on before I figured this out! My only complaint on these headlocks - we had one set that was white, when I loosened the screws the paint came off around the screw area.

    It is possible to run those micro tires foamless and many people in the crawler scene recommend doing it. My question is : does this cause any major problems during the assembly ? Like holding the inner wheelring in place etc ? I just ordered my first wheels and tires and have no experience with it yet.
    Greetings

    I have these in chrome. Fitted injora super swampers for my scx24 jeep. Didn't have to much trouble. Well worth the effort in my opinion

    I cannot seem to get the first screw to catch, almost as if they are too short. Any ideas on what may be going on?

      Make sure that when you’re attempting to get the first screw in you keep all of the wheel pieces pinched together with your free hand.

    Do those wheels come with the tires already on it or do you have to get your own and put them on

    • @CrawlDaddy43
      @CrawlDaddy43  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to buy them separately

    Do you have to glue any micro crawler tires at all ?

    • @CrawlDaddy43
      @CrawlDaddy43  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can only speak on rc4wd tires and wheels. You don’t have to glue them.

      @@CrawlDaddy43 he must have had user error. I agree, these are great if you know how to mount them. Paper clip method (bent in “U”) from the backside makes installing/ alignment super easy and quick.

      Is it really that hard to line everything up? Just picked them up today and I’ll be honest this seems pretty cut and dry. Haven’t tried it yet thought.
