    • @Cheesin31
      @Cheesin31 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don’t like clutching for wheelies on my Hayabusa. If you use the clutch it’s a more violent reaction, so to speak. I like running the bike up in rpm’s and then blurp the throttle as to load down on the forks, then romp on it and feel the front end come up. The 08 and up Hayabusas kind of suck if they have the soft rev limiter in 1st - 3rd gears. Mine was a lot better after the ECU flash took the power limiter off. Hayabusas also tend to lay you back in the seat instead of wanting to jump up into a wheelie. Just remember to load the front end down and then give it throttle when the forks are rebounding upwards. Don’t be slamming the front end down all the time also or you will be replacing the seals in your forks all the time because the hayabusas are super front heavy.

I rev up then dump the clutch but it just jerks my bike forward very hard. Any tips? • @TwoWheelTurban
      @TwoWheelTurban  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! I’d say try in first and make sure you are releasing the clutch very abruptly while the revs are hanging at like 6-8k. It may seem you are releasing quick, but many people are still slipping it instead of popping that lever out. Also maintain throttle after, don’t cut throttle.

    I’m practicing on my friend Yamaha R6 and I’m afraid of whiskey throttle! Idk if that can be a thing while doing a wheelie but definitely try to be cautious of it.

    • @TwoWheelTurban
      @TwoWheelTurban  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea you can whiskey throttle for sure

    • @tcpfuzz9215
      @tcpfuzz9215 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Most people keep the wrist of their throttle hand up at too high an angle which allows you to grab way too much throttle and increases your risk of whiskey throttling. If you want to avoid that, you can start with your wrist in a more neutral to lower angle on the throttle so that anatomically you just aren't able to grab massive handfulls of it.

    • @TwoWheelTurban
      @TwoWheelTurban  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Releasing quicker is better for the clutch as you aren’t burning it out as much compared to if you were slowly letting it out with throttle. And yes you want to “pop” the clutch (let it out quickly) like a rubber band releasing.

    You’re not actually teaching somebody to do a wheelie… you’re explaining it as if you’re talking to somebody who already knows how to do one. I appreciate your safety concerns but I just clicked on this video to learn how to actually get the bike up… the safety bit I already knew.

      He did say how to do it but I’ll break it down. 1st gear (typically the gear with the highest torque), clutch in, rev to 7-8k rpm, instantly drop the clutch, rear brake so you don’t go too high. Its all a very quick, smooth motion just like blipping to downshift. He is right though: practice in a safe spot with plenty of grip and crash room

    Why shouldn’t you chase a wheelie out?

    • @TwoWheelTurban
      @TwoWheelTurban  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because you aren’t truly at balance point, so essentially you are relying on the power of the bike instead of proper skill and control.
