Yeah I could honestly say I think the R6 is harder than the MT09. I’ve rode another one since this video and did a lot better but you really have to wheelie a certain way, they can’t be thrown around like my R7 can
@@jar7dThe R6 is light enough and Powerful enough to Stunt Ride, but Yamaha Designed it to do the exact opposite. They did everything They could to keep the front Wheel down and Planted because Wheelies are not a good thing on a Racetrack...

@@jar7d Well I looped it last year and bought myself a Grom, learned how to wheelie that. Now I bought a 250 mx bike to learn. Figured I might wanna start small instead and slowly move to wheelie the big bike. Thanks for the videos dude!
You think a MT-09 would be a good upgrade bike from an R3 or is that too much of a jump you think. I like my speed but I also like just chilling and cruising around a bit sometimes and only reason I’m thinking of mt09 instead of mt07 is just cause I don’t wanna have to worry about wanting something faster than the mt07 down the road. But mt09 sounds just perfect balance imo of speed torque and comfort. Only thing I’ve heard bad about them is the suspension in corners. Feels super spongy apparently
That’s a massive jump lol. And the mt07 has the same top speed as the mt09. Mt07 runs out of power at 130 and mt09 is governed to 130 unless you flash it. After that you can get like 150 but doing that on a naked bike sucks. I think the 07 would make more sense coming from an 03, but as long as you’re careful with the 09 you’ll probably be fine. It’s a lot of power though and they’re difficult to sell so if you end up not being happy with the 09 you might still be stuck with it for a while. The mt07 on the other hand would sell easy if you just wanted to try it out for a bit and then upgrade again
@@jar7d ok sweet! Thanks for responding. Maybe I will consider an mt07 but Idk. The XSR bikes from Yamaha have been catching my eyes too. Nice little retro sport bike/cafe racer. Love it tbh but idk what one I like more 😂😂 just gotta figure it out. Thanks again for responding man! Appreciate that info :)
I'm trying to learn on an almost stock R6, - I'm having a really rough time popping it up in 1st and I feel like I gotta go way too fast for 2nd. Probably getting the MT07 to learn on instead then going to R7 when I'm decent
Mt07 will be 1000 times easier. The R6 will come up low speed in 2nd but it takes a BIG rev. I can do it now but back when I made this the R6 was still pretty hard for my skill level
Yeah I don't think the R6 is the go-to for learning when I've never even been able to wheelie a bicycle before 😂 Hopefully someone buys the R6 off of me soon! Been watching your early videos to check your wheelie progression and man you've gotten far. I'll get there eventually! edit: also didn't expect you to answer a comment on a 1 year old video, appreciate it!
R6 isnt for everyone its not made for throwing it up easy...its made to gap lap after lap. Just saying it does lift but it takes more skill than lets say a Ninja for one.
i'm not understanding all these hateful comments, I absolutely love my 04 R6 and I wheelie the piss out of it in first and second with a 15/50 sprocket.
Change your gears for your R6 to wheelie easier in 2nd, down 1 in front and up 2 teeth in the rear, i can get it up easy in 2nd gear and i can bounce it up in 3rd

I revisited the R6 a year later, it’s still a hard bike but it’s controllable
One of the stunt guys in our group said R6’s have the hardest balance point and also the no guts low RPM makes is annoying

Nice tries there, fully committed to lift that girl out of the ground, had no idea that the good old R6 was a wild🐎one for wheelies though 👍🏻🙋🏻♂️.
Your quip about the mt-09, I am with you, holy shit that bike is hard to wheelie, have no idea how Gixxer Brah does it honestly.

A video showing why the ZX6R is the superior super sport
No, r6 will gap it
ya r6 will gap for super sport 6r only good for stunting lol slam a big rear sprocket on it and run 110
Ive gapped 7 zx6rs
The opposite, why its a better stuntbike
So to be a good super sport it has to be good at wheelies? Shit, I thought I knew something about bikes, but now I see I don’t know shit.
would love to see a vid where you revisit wheelies on the r6... 1 year later xD
I have one, I did much better but it’s just a TH-cam short

just gotta get her there dawg. But yes R6 for skilled riders only. No pooputs. Them nakes bikes 10x easier than any full fairing bike, more forgiving.
First time I wheelie an R6 it tossed me into a tree. Broke my bike and both my feet

04 R6 is easier and stunt gearing also makes it easier
Lower tire pressure, re-gear makes it alot more comfortable. They dont suck just gotta learn how to ride them lol

50mph 2nd gear and that bih rises everytime I love my r6, & im set up gearing for speed not stunting.
This one wasn’t set up for stunting either. And 50 mph would be more in the power band of the R6, I was going slow so it has no low end power
