On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉

Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

My Andre can do wheelies while on the phone with motojitsu telling him that slow speed maneuvers don’t require lots of speed and lean .. all while saying .. very nice .. I like 😂😂😂😂
Come on, you're exaggerating, a tiny bit😄
@@MotoControlEn no my Andre is the best
I’m paying good money to be a moto control member for a reason… because my Andre is the best ever 😀😀😀😀
😂😂😂. Sooo true!🫵👍👊💪👍
I am very happy to say ”I started this and together we made it happen!” Thanks to all of you who liked and big big thanks to Andre for making the video. Now, I will watch and learn!
Bro i am from India and i love your videos, there is no teacher like this in India, only teachers who have basic knowledge are teaching and who doesn't even have basic knowledge are learning,if there is a good teacher,she/he charges a lot to teach
Keep in mind in many countries doing wheelies (and stoppies) is illegal on public roads/places, and over zealous police may still try to charge you even if you are not on a public road. In my country (Canada) it falls under stunting laws and can result in a 2,000-10,000$ fine, 6 demerits on your license, a 14 day impounding of your vehicle, and a 30 day license suspension. They have also gone after kids on bicycles doing low speed wheelies on BMXs.
Oh Canada~~ 😢
Dumb nation
I'm assuming you're talking about the shithole that is Ontario, where tailgating can get you a stunt driving charge. Doing this in a parking lot will almost certainly get you charged with stunt driving if the OPP see it.
Either find the most desolate parking lot imaginable, be prepared to run or just don't do it ... unless you can afford ridiculous fines and even more ridiculous insurance premiums.
@@lakaiskates8064 it is pretty much all of Canada that now has these stunting/racing laws. The penalties vary a bit. Also illegal in many US States and parts of Europe too. They will also try to nail you with stunting laws for standing up on the motorcycle pegs too, even though most official provincial motorcycle handbooks tell you to do this for rough pavement or crossing train tracks. 🤬
Best tutorial for motorcycle control on the internet Andre... regards from the UK. Im going to try some wheelies in the summer and i need to buy a cheap bike as my biggest fear is wrecking my k1 Gixxer 600 and ktm rc8
Now, it’s time to teach us the way to do a stoppie. I promise I’ll give you 100 likes 👍🏼
This comment needs more likes. I want this video too!
What a big coincidence. I have been entertaining thoughts of learning to wheelie and 3 days later, you drop this. Thanks for the tutorial!
Yes, this is a weely weely good video.
That was weely bad joke! 😂
I will never understand the joy on doing wheelies. But it is good to see a profesional sharing knowledge about it so everybody can enjoy them safely.
To impress the girls and boys maybe?
@@briansanchez9899nah. It's just fun. Plain and simple.
My motivation to do a wheelie is that i wanna experience everything that can be done on a bike atleast once. I don't want to learn a wheelie to show off, I want to do it for my own satisfaction.
Hope that helps
It looks cool, but I haven't done it even once in 35 years of riding
It makes me nervous.
High risk, no reward...
@@andrechagas4549 Agree on high risk, but the no reward? I think u should consider it more since it's a subjective matter.
@@andrechagas4549 The reward is the act itself, and if you're well practiced the risk is relatively low.
@@andrechagas4549Learn to do it. Then you will understand reward 🍻
This is a wheelie good video.
...I'll show myself out.

Best tutorial in youtube.
Thanks for following through with this video! This will get me to Alameda to collect the photons in style 👍🏻
Your wheelies are so clean !! I bet you could even bunny hop ! Would love a tutorial on bunny hops if you already have them ! :)
Your channel just got real spicy! Thanks so much for sharing everything in such clear and professional manner.
Best wheelie vid on TH-cam!!
Great video and explanations, as always. As a beginner rider this exercice is useless but its always nice to know how it is done. Thank you Sir
Also as I heard you should forget about reflex (if you have one) to hold your tank with knees. Because you'll need your knees for catching balance, so it should be more relaxed. You can see example at 8:36
Oh shi, at 8:33 just saying about knees 😅
Great tutorial! But couldn't the ABS cause problems while trying to find the balance point?
AWESOME video as usual ,keep up the great instruction
i just sent this video to moto jitsu after he put out his learning how to wheelie video. trying to explain to him instead of chasing them out from second gear you need to get comfortable learning the balance point cluthing up from barely moving in first gear
Eh, he'll either just delete your message or tell you he went to "wheelie university"🙃
Your a man of your word
Awesome stuff
… the rider doing the wheelies does NOT look like Andre / Moto Control … see 3:42 … 9:27 …
@@user-vu1lv8wh3k i hope it is bad joke, it's literally his face
nice you kept your word! great video
Now that’s what I am talking about brother!
do you think its better to do this practice in 1st gear or 2nd gear? and when you mean clutch up are you saying just release he clutch completely?
First gear just like he said, and yes, clutch up means you literally dump the clutch as fast as you can!!
Andrei, brilliant one.
Is you do this on an R1, is it still good to start in 1st gear?
No bro buy a grom or small bike. You can try on the r1 but you will probably drop it
Do not do this on an r1 in first gear. Do 2 or 3rd and around 35-50 mph
"Mickey mouse voice" lol. I had that a few times in the old days on old 1st gen gsxr750 with the rear seat cover there wasn't a lot of room to scooch back. Came down seeing stars and trying to concentrate through the pain. A friend looped his Kawi 750 turbo and ended up chasing it alongside with hands on the bars and saved it! Wish I'd had a cell phone then, it was some Randy Mamola shit.
Regarding the botched landing/tank slapper, it's VERY important if you're doing a lot of wheelies, to have your steering head bearings properly adjusted, especially if you don't have a steering damper. Also. you needed to talk about shifting while in a wheelie.; when you find the sweet rpm spot, the shifter will slip into the next gear easily without clutch but may need throttle adjustment when it does to stabilize the wheelie angle.
What should we consider about changing gears while in a wheelie? Should you stay in first until you get the hang of balance?
Yes, just do everything in 1st. Just like with other exercises it feels a bit twitchy initially, but it forces you to control your throttle more accurately.
What happens at 9:35? The handlebars seem preferctly streight and it looks like the rider tries to align the front wheel with the direction of travel. Actually exactly like the video tells to do.
The other biker looking at you the whole time haha 3:00
Good tutorial, legit.
Explain the techniques for compress forks! Make video for compression
ООООООО ДААА МЫ ДОЖДАЛИСЬ❤❤❤❤❤❤
What about the clutch? How long the friction plates will last with this kind of extensive use?
Andre, do you use 1st gear or 2nd gear to wheelie on a duke 200?
For wheelies in the video - 1st gear!
Goodmorning from Italy here, why is that closing throttle on v4 is enoguh to put the nose down instead of a v2? I Thought more cilinders = less engine break so i'm wondering if this happens becuase v4 are usually heavier?
The V4s tend to have a super high compression ratio, thus requiring more work to spin up -> more breaking torque
I’m learning how to wheelie and my biggest concern is me accidentally twisting the throttle too much and looping when the front wheel comes up. How do you stay on the bike without holding on to the handlebars and throttle tightly when the front wheel comes up? Do the foot pegs do most of the work keeping you on the bike during a wheelie?
It’s not that hard to hold on but your throttle hand will get tired quick. Some bikes have better seats than others that hold you on. Just keep your arms straight and learn to control the throttle and train yourself to brake not pull your feet off. I’d highly recommend learning on a pitbike or something tiny. Most people will loop at some point while there leaning. I did and was happy to be on a pit bike not my big bike
Obviously a stoppie video us in the pipeline after this❤ you can try get Toprak as a guest
4:01 😭🤣"so we dont cry in Mickey mouse voice" I love it!
i like your controls however can you do it on a dirt bike?
Yes! You did it! You crazy son of a b you did it! 🤘
Update: thanks for doing it in a low cc bike everyone shows it in a 500cc n up.

I have been wrong before.
It appears I am wrong again.
Andre, I apologise
I've tried doing wheelies but a 600 roadster is not the best bike to learn on since it hasn't got much torque low down.
Whats the ideal speed to start the wheelie?
Please do one on stoppies next!
I can't access to your site, the link seems not working...
Trying to learn wheelies on a cb500. Seems quite hard. Also now I got a problem with the cooling system, anyone else had that same kind of trouble?
can i wheelie an old transalp? or is it too heavy and weak cc-wise?
You can, but it will be a pain in the butt)
I'm wondering if the bike will ever lift so fast that we won't have time to react and correct it?
Sure, just watch any "wheelie fails" compilation, bikes do moonsaults quite regularly😁
It was like achieving teleportation to the ground while watching a loved one mistake themself for a humpback whale.
Yep. There was a video not too long ago where a guy blipped his friends throttle at a stoplight and it looped it right out from under his friend
I struggle to lift the front wheel, all I get is wheel spin on a f700gs , even though I could lift it to the balance point on my previous 125cc bike
With heavy bikes you have to compress and rebound the fork even more. They tend to lose traction before wheelieing, so try to use as little gas as possible and as much rebound as possible.
I wheelie liked this video!
🎼🎵"My homies don´t dance they just pull up their pants and ... LEAN BACK, LEAN BACK, LEAN BACK" 🎶 😁👍
You are a man of your word, I like it! If I'm not wrong I saw a BMW R850R (or similar) in your videos, I have the same bike, so my question is: is it much of a cow to learn wheelies? XD
It probably can do a wheelie, but I certainly wouldn't do it, the thought of 250kg landing onto that tiny telelever monoshock make me cringe 😬
Thanks for the video! It looks like you learned how to do a wheelie only on this motorcycle." am l right? 😊
That's my bike trashed! 😂
Thanks Sir ❤
Jus before clutch up the rear wheel locking you dint mention.
Plz make a vid on street riding 90 degrees turn at junction during fast riding.. Do we slow down n then take the turn or do we trail brake into the turn or something else ?

I want to learn to learn to do a wheelie but didn't want to drop mine in learning... Fairings cost to much
Haha thats me too
It may have been interesting to also touch on the impact on the bike, e.g. tyres, gears, chassis, suspension, other?
Sure, but it's more important for more professional stunt riding, which is not my field🙂
Your bike will last less time 😂.
Спасибо, приятно слышать родной индийский😂
Get a modern MT09, pin it in first gear and hold on, it does everything by itself
At some point it will go wrong, mostly because of the illusion that you are still in control, that wasn't the case from the moment just before the decision was made to imitate a unicycle. Like the old lady said to me when I was 17 and getting up off the floor, that'll teach you.
A bunch of nerds in these comments. Great video man!
Это просто праздник какой-то
I will never try that on my 200kg underpowered Interceptor but thanks anyway 😁

Aguante Chaca!
Wow it takes a tremendous amount of practice to totally Wreck your bike no no I'm just kidding this is good information here and I see it takes a lot of practice to finally get that Loop no no no to do a good motorcycle wheelie

Gata , nu mai facem wheelie.
Make sure you have health insurance, and money for fix the bike. And... for some bike it cause seized engine. Oh, don't forget tank slapper.
If you want to do a wheelie then buy a unicycle. Never do wheelies on public roads as you are a danger to yourself and more importantly others.
It's more important to learn beginners how NOT to wheelie.
I tried it uphill on my CB500F, 1st gear, around 15kph, just power wheelie. All I wanted was just a little lift on the front. Michelin Road 5 tires... And this motherfucker with all the weight on the rear wheel just starts spinning its wheel so I just did a rolling burnout 😂😂
Het man that is a win, i burned the clutch trying to do that on my FZS1000
No thanks, bike have two wheels for a reason.
The wheeling things is a malpratice that should be avoided.

ok boomer
you must be fun at parties
should i try it on my ducati or i will 100% drop it? btw what about wheelie machines, how much do they ease the process of learning?
Not 100%, but the probability is high, yes😁
