Chris here, tonight I have the second part of our story with Thomas from Mississippi, who lived with his family on the edge of the Honey Island Swamp. There while hunting with his family he and his cousin are followed and then chased by some upright creature lurking in the night forest! The experience makes a believer out of his cousin!

I know we'd all love to hear that Chris. I live in Louisiana in a rural area, but right on a 4 lane unfortunately. But, my sister and I caught a vocalization that was off the charts wild. It was almost the same exact vocalization heard in Oklahoma, i think. They ARE around us here where we live.
I'd love to meet Thomas. I'm a treasure hunter, and there are multiple treasures buried in Honey Island.

I've been in that part of our world. Grew up on the Texas Bank of the Sabine river. I've smelled it, heard it, and heard about it from a couple in their late 80's that had been born and raised on the Honey Island swamp area. They are real.

Sasquatch are what the Bible refers to as the watchers. The oldest known piece of literature on earth is the epic of Gilgamesh (Nimrod in scripture). There is a wildman Giant in the cuneiform script that is perfectly in tune with nature and spent most of His life secluded from mankind. You can find it's audio form on youtube. Very fascinating

The clear glass was a nice touch. I can imagine the relief he felt to finally be believed. I have been dealing with something attacking me in my own aura, and no one believes me. It's the challenge of my lifetime, that's for sure.

Another tid bit of information about this area I find extremely interesting is that this area is in the middle of Stennis Space centers buffer zone meaning its undeveloped land with plenty of wilderness for something to remain hidden from most people. 🤔

I was kayaking in this same area once and heard a loud roar type of growl off behind me where i had just passed. I looked behind me and couldnt hear or see any signs of movement. The only animal i know of that can make that deep of a noise is a black bear, but those are really rare in this area. Also ive never heard of a bear making that cadence of noise before. I cant say for sure what is was (because i didnt actually see it) but i can say that ive never heard anything like it before or since

Really intense story, Chris. Had me on the edge of my seat. That growl was nasty. I found it odd that the two were out hunting in pitch dark. I can't imagine living in a swampy area. It is just so creepy.
I lived right on that same swamp 40 years ago. Never even locked my door. I stepped out on my little porch one night and a panther screamed. It was loud. Seemed to me it was in the mimosa tree just out of the porch lights reach. I just turned around and went right back inside.🤣

Did not disappoint. Looking forward to part 3. There are very few sasquatch sightings around here, but I have spent more time in my life in our remote areas than a dozen avid outdoorsman usually do, I have seen a lot of species that are not supposed to exist anywhere near where I have seen them. I tell people and they mock me which to me shows their inexperience in our wild lands. They all pile on out of their ignorance. But the people that spend as much time as I do in the wilds around here have seen similar things. The worst was when I saw a badger in central Maryland. I wasn't really sure what it was but it tried to ambush two fawns in November as they passed between two thick evergreen deadfalls that formed a pinch point perfect for an ambush. I had hung my tree stand within bow range of te pinch point. Once the two fawns had cleared the pinch point what looked like a medium sized dog with really short legs leaped out of the thick deadfall trying to grab one of the fawns. But it did not give chase when it missed. That told me it wasn't a canine because they always give chase. .I called my brother up, who hunted the other side of the drainage, and told him if I was somewhere else I would swear I saw a badger or a wolverine. To my surprise he told me it was a badger and the family of badgers had their den in front of his favorite tree stand, and he got really good looks at them almost every time he hunted it. Then I knew what my instincts told me I saw was absolutely correct, and had another that got much better looks at them than I did. But tell anyone else and they think you are stupid or something commenting from their ignorance on how there are not any badgers within hundreds of miles of central Maryland if not much further. I have also seen multiple bobcats on Maryland's Eastern shore at two different properties twenty miles apart. They were supposed to be extirpated from the Eastern Shore a hundred years ago. I get ridiculed for that except by others that have seen them. There are lots of other ones but those are the ones that almost nobody believes like cougar in Western Maryland but that one has too many other people seeing them to truly deny it. There is even a video of one that had a large group of DNR and biologists thinking the video would show a house cat or something, but instead they all let out a simultaneous ooooo!!! when they watched the video. So I know the feeling when people don't believe what you know you saw with no doubt about it. I know what it feels like to find another that believes you because they saw one too. I look forward to his Dad's story, since he was another scoffer turned believer by his own personal encounter. For some reasons scientists always deny the tremendous number of eye witness accounts until they get presented with irrefutable evidence. Then once the scientist are shown to know far less than the locals that call the wilderness home they act like they discovered something. But everyone that frequents the remote wilderness already knew it, and had been telling them for decades or centuries but where not believed.
I always really look forward to your stories, but this has me on the edge of my seat lol! Thanks, Chris!!!

That was an awesome story, Chris. As you were telling the story and describing the environment I could actually imagine it happening in my mind's vision. I've been an avid outdoorsman for over 63 years. I've had encounters with bears, elk, a moose, various small animals and a mountain lion...but never a Bigfoot or Sasquatch. Once while night hiking near Oberweiler, Germany, I was walking by an old abandoned barn. I heard a deep, deep god-awful growl. My heart began racing and I could almost hear my chest pound and my hyper breathing sounds. I wanted to run but knew better not to run. The animal's instinct might kick in and cause it to chase me. I tightly gripped my Volksmarche staff and kept walking but at a quicker pace. I love how you relate other people's frightening experiences. BTW as opened and poured your beer, I ran to the fridge and grabbed a Pacifico, my favorite beer. Cheers, mate!!
