Tonight we have a story from one of our viewers...who in 1986 was night fishing with her husband along a creek near Lake Lewisville in north Texas. There, late at night at 2 a.m. she encountered something large and dangerous lurking in the forest...then it suddenly started walking toward her...not knowing what it was going to do...she started talking to it to get it to stop!! This is what happened. Watch yourself out there!!

Hi Chris, this story is Mind-blowing in the fact that her husband didn't respond to her. Plus, where were her children during this encounter? This was a Bigfoot that walked up to her. Also, her husband didn't believe her. She should never feel insecure in telling this story. It's a true story that happened to her.
My cousin and I had a face to face encounter with a Bigfoot on a beautiful sunny day in North Idaho in the middle of a highway with no other cars around. I will never forget all details as to the experience, nor do I care if anyone believes my story. Chris, I will contact you another day to give more details.

I have heard several accounts where one individual will hear the sound and someone a few feet away doesn't.
I had a problem with that also, but the kids were in the tent sleeping. You want and need to know your partner finds you trustworthy and will back you up. To his credit, he packed them up and left.

Bigfoot stopped immediately when she called on God's protection IN JESUS NAME. There is POWER IS IN HIS NAME! If your wife comes to you in distress it does not matter whether you believe it or not ...just comfort her. Unless there is an immediate threat and you have to protect her then just shut your mouth and listen and be there for her. I've been there and I know what I'm talking about

Hi, Chris! I enjoy your videos. Thanks for all the work you do to provide them for us. My theory is that when she prayed to God in Jesus name He sent reinforcements as she had asked. The creature's confused look and immediate retreat was him wondering where the 10 foot tall angels with flaming swords came from all the sudden. Just an idea. Happy New Year, everyone!

I think that the bigfoot heard every word she was praying. In fact I think that was her protection. Just like there are portals where they can come into our dimension. I have heard testimonies of people who have rebuked super-natural beings using the name of Jesus. What a great story. Thank you Chris for all your hard work.

Strange,bc I sing and play Gospel songs for Sasquatch and they seem to enjoy it. I think religion gets into too many people's heads in a way it wasn't meant to be. Sasquatch are not evil.By nature,humans are.

I have audio recordings all over my channel of me talking w the Sabe/Sasquatch peacefully,as well as some unidentifiable sounds of other possible cryptids there. They the Great Spirit's creation,just as we are;they're just older and better built for the outdoors. Glad you seem to understand better now,and I get it that anyone in your situation would have been afraid. Hi Chris, great story as always. I remember a UFO case in a Brazilian rural area where the terrified guy, in front of some malevolent "alien kidnappers", started praying Jesus to help him. The aliens got upset as they "felt" something was interfering with their intentions and plans... And the young guy clearly saw Jesus appearing beside him and comforting him. Then the guy fainted and, once he reopened his eyes, he was back in the forest, albeit several miles from the original place he was when they abducted him... The aliens had gone...
I was going to mention a connection to similar UFO abduction cases that ceased when people called on Jesus name.

It sure seemed to understand her! I did a lot of night fishong in Texas back in 1971-75 when we were stationed at Ft. Hood TX. Never had an experience until we returned home and went camping with family. Didnt see it, didnt need to, what we all heard was enough for the 5 or so family members of ours and other hikers on the trail that day. All decided it was time to hike back to camp asap. Very large campground East of Portland near Sandy OR. Was so loud it vibrated thru my chest, i was 19 at the time. Mom said she smelled something horrible but i didnt recall smelling anything. Nobody among us ever forgot that day.
I have been waiting for a story where someone prayed in the name of Jesus. I am not the least surprised that it stopped in its tracks. I would venture to guess it not only recognized the name of Jesus but she prayed for protection. It may have tilted its head as it saw something behind her. Guardian angels who responded to her call. Some may think thats crazy but if you don’t deny the presence of these creatures- this is certainly a possibility. 😊 Thanks for the story Chris! I watch all your videos!
They are in Texas, me and a buddy of mine encountered two of these creatures on the Brazos river 5 or 6 miles south of the possum kingdom dam back in the fall of 1990 .It wasn’t a pleasant experience, I haven’t spent anytime in the woods since.

As an extensive researcher of their language and characteristics, I can say that it wasn't that the BF understood her so much as her prayer changed her energy. We do shift our energy depending on fear, anger, joy, and prayer. They read our energy like we read facial expressions. Chris, thank you for archiving these. Your channel is my favorite escape.
Uh you're both wrong. Like any other large animal/primate, it simply was surprised and shocked at the woman's sudden outburst, just like how a grizzly and gorillas respond to being suddenly shouted at. These beings aren't inherently dangerous to humans any more than black bears so the woman's life was never in an danger. It was probably simply curious. Remember, 99% of sightings are nonviolent with the bigfoot walking away first.

I’ve experienced two encounters, one was outside my tent in 1979 at Eleanor Lake in the South Okanagan of British Columbia , Canada…it walked around and around our tent at about 1:am…and my boyfriend, later my husband and I spent a very stressful night trying to keep our dog quiet as this creature rubbed up against our tent for what seemed liked hours. As soon as it became light and ,and it was quiet, we literally rolled up our tent and camping gear and threw it into the trunk of our car and left. I guess the trees knocked over across the road might have given us a clue.
The second time, my family and I had been re-routed ( detoured) coming back from Alberta into British Columbia, we stopped for lunch and I walked out to see the valley below…and watched what can only be described as a VERY LARGE HARRY MAN walking away from me, through a valley in the mountains of British Columbia . I can still see him or her through my mind’s eye to this day and this was well over twenty years ago.

From these stories and others BF seems to have some kind of telepathic or instinctive sense about others.
I think it did understand through her energy/demeanor ect that she meant no harm and so it let her be.
Like the BF that may have saved that guy with the logs 🪵 and how many describe the nightmares that plague them.
It seems that they can tell if someone won’t cause them or their land harm. It seems like when people encroach on their space and don’t leave at their first warnings that’s when they get more aggressive. They also definitely seem curious.
Happy New Year Chris! And what a treat…a terrifying tale right from my childhood stomping ground! My family lived off this lake in ‘86 and it was SO much more wooded and isolated back then. This tale is even more terrifying knowing that I was just miles away.
And a side note…this park is just a couple miles from Old Alton Bridge (a.k.a. Goatman’s Bridge)…a bridge, reportedly haunted, and even featured on one of those Travel Channel ghost shows.

Hello neighbor, and the stories that were going around back when i was young about Old Alton Bridge was hogmans bridge. And a few years after I had this encounter an old woman that lived next door to us told me that her and her husband were out fishing late one evening at the creek that runs under twin bridges, they were sitting on their tailgate fishing and she said that they saw the exact same creature walking straight down the creek towards them, and they jumped in the truck and left before it got to them. If you live around the Denton area you know exactly where Im talking about! I believe it was the same one because her description sounded very similar.

Her husband didn’t hear her scream and no mention of her children waking makes me wonder if it’s like a dimensional shift in their presence. When they are around people also seem to easily lose their bearings where they are otherwise familiar. Really sucks that her husband didn’t believe her.
I live in this area since the early nineties. I backpack and camp all over and never thought of North Texas as being the habitat for large apex predators. That being said I have seen, including people who have a lot of experience in the woods have also seen, hybrids and large cats here.
If she says she saw it, I believe her. A lot of strange things in the woods.

I believe Bigfoot/Sasquatch are multi dimensional beings...I believe they can absolutely understand our intentions, through our thoughts, words and actions. That's demonstrably not true. Countless people have prayed for Jesus to intervene and nothing happened and they or a loved one died

I don't believe he understood what she said. But I think he understood the desperation and fear she felt when she started praying. He was probably just curious but they sometimes seem to respect when people are afraid and backs off.

I think it understood her. Definitely when she said, “God” and “Jesus”. I’ve been reading a lot about the Nephilim in the Bible and various other sources. Something is very odd about Sasquatch/ Bigfoot. I think they’re just what Genesis 6 and beyond describes. 😊
Great story! I reside in the lower half of Texas and never thought we had terrain that would be attractive to these creatures. I think these creatures behave differently when encountering women or children and see them as non-threatening. I think her pleas and prayers were received as anguish cry’s for help by the creature which may have been why it halted him in his tracks. I also think their expert hearing sensed her husband returning which may have been why he quickly retreated. Nonetheless, I’m thankful she shared her story with us. Happy New Year 🎊

I caught an 18 pound catfish out of Lake Louisville in the 80's. Caught it with chicken liver and my rod broke in half but I still reeled it in as I ran backwards pulling it out. Fun times.

I believe Carrie. I also believe that the Bigfoot understood Carrie and her intent. Her prayer was a huge protection because we, as humans, don't see into the spiritual world. In Vietnam when the war was going the solider in Vietnam on the enemy side and the Americans. While they are trying to fight a war these big tall creature would go after the soldiers and one solider got picked up and through him down a hill he was killed. The north Vietnamese some were killed too. Yes this is true they said were you see a light orbs a Bigfoot will be around.

I had a friend who's father was over there and he said there was an officer who wasn't liked at all. And that they made it to where he would have to take a treacherous route of road. On top of that he said that the "gorillas ' would throw big rocks at the car every time!! He called them rock apes. He told me this is 96"

That would be a scary feeling going to the outhouse and seeing a Sasquatch..to have something look at you face to face in the dark.
I would of froze in panic..she was very brave and for her husband not to believe her is just not right...I know what it is like when you see something and you tell someone what you saw and they don't believe you..I saw something in the 60's and I told my grandpa, he believed me but he told me not to tell anyone but I told a friend and she laughed at me. I've noticed/heard that when some people start to pray and mention Jesus, that the encounter stops. This happens during either Bigfoot or paranormal encounters. I agree with @SharonDayLifeArchivist comment in that the prayer changed her energy. This is a good thing to know and I think I unwittingly understood this when I was robbed at knifepoint by four men as a young man myself. I kept calm, rational as I prayed in my head. The words that I was saying to them didn't seem to be mine but they soon calmed and gave up with very little for their efforts and no injuries. Happy New Year Chris and all

I believe Carries story. I wish it wasn't true because I love nature and the woods. But the woods I hike in are very close to the suburbs so never any bigfoot stories in there. One of these days I plan to go hiking and/or camping in the Smokies or the Rockies. But I ain't going alone! No freaking way! P. S. I haven't a clue whether that thing in the woods understood Carrie or not but she did the right thing by praying. I really doubt that it understands English but apparently it can interpret her tone of voice and her mood. That's my opinion for what it's worth.
My husband pleads and applies the blood covering of Jesus in prayer every time he goes outdoors..he also asks God for His ministering spirits of Heaven (or Angels) to be with him. With all of the people that's gone missing; why not ask God for these things? Just believe he'll do it.
I hate to say this but if my husband did not believe me I could not have stayed with him. It's not a choice nor is it the action I would want to take it just "is" how I would feel. It is what it is sadly. I am so happy that she was able to share this and hopefully through others who have shared their encounters has found vindication ❤
I have wondered if these animals would respond to someone praying. This is the first story ive heard with the praying element attached to it.
There are many stories of aliens & cryptids fleeing when someone prays. I don't know if it always happens every time a prayer is made though.
I don’t think this creature understood her words, but I do think it recognized her high level of anxiety and knew she wasn’t a threat. ( It would be a comfort to believe her frantic prayers were answered.)

For Kerrie my thoughts are; maybe the Sasquatch didn’t understand the meaning of your actual words but, on some level, was able to recognise the energy of extreme fear emanating from you, and the terror and pleading in the sounds that you were making. He turned away at the point where you were praying - prayer contains and releases a powerful energy, which may have contributed to his decision to stop approaching. He definitely made a decision ‘at that point’.

They have watched and studied us for generations. Something about her "doing her business" definitely peaked it's interest. I don't know if it understood her words, but it seemed to respect her fear. That is introspective rational

It seems these creatures are very territorial and especially don't like return visitors who are taking their food resources. I've heard conflicting stories about how well they respond to Jesus's name. I know I'd use it!
It’s possible that the creature did intend to harm her, but was deterred by the name of Jesus.
I've heard Emery Smith speak on Gaia TV about interacting with these beings and he mentioned they have a great sense of humor which suggests a greater intelligence and capacity for communication than we generally give them credit for. Also, it seems there's several species, some malicious and dangerous and others who know how to scare away humans without physically harming them. My first thought hearing Kerry's story was the being was interested in her personally - it's good she asked for help and got it.

Yes, I believe the Bigfoot did understand her and I believe they are subjected to spiritual ‘rules’ and absolutely are affected by our prayers. You hear similar stories of people using prayer to ward off dogman too. I don’t claim to know or understand all their actions but based on so many testimonies there are a lot of similarities.

I believe when she said, "In Jesus name," an angel appeared in front of her that only Big foot could see and thats what scared him away! Someone along time ago told me a story of a girl walking in an alley was scared of a rapest walking towards her, while she started to pray and they just walked on past her. When the police questioned him, he said he didn't do anything to her because there were 2 really big guys next to her!! It must have been 2 angels!!! Ive heard alot of similar stories of people praying and saying , In Jesus name and it saved their lives also!!!
So sorry Carrie that you have endured ridicule over something you didn't ask to experience. It's like being punished over and over and over again. All I have to say is if my husband or partner did not believe me that would totally put a wedge in my relationship with this person and I don't believe I would be able to go on in a relationship like that. 😢

Oh wow Chris! This story is awesome. What got my interest is when the creature( Bigfoot) turned his head to the side while she was talking to him. I think on a certain level, he understood. This always brings me to believe that Bigfoot isn't violent. They may be in awe of people as we are of them. I would so love to see one but at a distance!! Lol. Hello Chris, what an absolutely frightening experience this lady had and having to live with this for years! What a strong woman she must be! It doesn't surprise me how people reacted back then and fortunately these day people tend to listen to these stories of Bigfoot more intently with compassion. The details here are so great that it's hard not to believe her. I believe her. Thank her and you for sharing this with us - I hope in some way it helps her deal with it. "It had to be somebody in a suit" has been an infamous statement over the years - are we making progress that people are describing black, brown, reddish and even beige suits now? Let's hope for Acceptance one day.

I think it sensed through air her toilet spot by the tree, it had probably visited the spot previously by scent.
It likely approached her out of curiosity, when she stood her ground it may have detected she was protecting her young, it could possibly smell her children.
