I’ve been fortunate to have some really fascinating discussions with John over the years. He’s always so full of encouragement and positivity for absolutely everyone he meets and absolutely everything you could mention. I wish I could bottle whatever he has because it’s something really special.
John is a big inspiration and is very kind, understanding and thoughtful.. really enjoyed working with him. This talk embodies that and shows you what a great man he is to look up to, nice one 👏🏻👍🏻
What a fantastic man John is - this TEDx Talk is such a great illustration of how authentic and inspirational he really is. He was so kind and encouraging, as well as very patient, when he recorded & produced my album of original piano pieces ('Archipelago') early last year. He really is genuinely focused on helping others and giving his full attention and support I treasure the recording sessions with him as I learned such a lot and it was so special how humble he is in the way he would sit and discuss my compositions and how they were developed and what they represented to me. This is from a Rock Star with a glittering career and world class achievements in the music and movie industries! His point about being so keen to break away from any potential negative barrier is also evidenced in the fact that he managed to get his dog to win Crufts!!! That is a measure of his determination to achieve high quality results with care and commitment.
He came and did a talk when I was at East Riding College Access to Music course and he was a bit full of himself saying things like he didn't really like a song he wrote for somebody but it got him a ferrari and came across as a bit of a big head.

He is a gift to humanity.
Wrote one of the greatest songs ever St Elmo's fire and with a performance to match. Forever in millions of hearts.

Restless Heart was my fave song by John Parr. It also featured on the end credits of The Running Man (1987).
Thank you John.

I read this and feel very disappointed and left asking why.
The words written by yourself are the opposite of the man that he is.
