Ross and Henry are 2 of the nicest guys around. They helped me when I had an issue my Chevelle the first time I was drag racing in the early 90s. I have been friends with them ever since.

100% they barely knew me when I first met them and they offered a lot of help. Great guys good friends. Thanks for watching

Another winner Max. I really enjoyed the relaxed banter between Ross and yourself. The fact that he gave you the wheel is typical of him. Great guy for sure. Look forward to seeing Henry's wagon. 10/10👍

Thank you for the kind words Blayne. Certainly we a treat to be able to do this one in many ways. They're story is great and happy to share it. Thanks for the support as always... up next a Peterbilt then Ross and his 70 dart. Just finished filming episode 17 today so lots to come we are only a few in.

When I raced my nova.i ran a 2 speed power glide..and I allways thought it beet a lot of carsbecause of the long times between shifts..but I loved a small block 400 beet a lot of cars that bragged they could beet anyone they raced..including a buick gran sport.firebird .the one car I wanted to beet was a 427 ford torino gt. Wiped the smile rite off his face..and took 500 out of his pocket..he actually worked for ford..

Very cool story man. I've seen some cars with those 400s and they're absolute beasts if you know what you're doing with them. And yes 2 speed is still the go to transmission for a lot of racers. I've seen some people upgrade to 700r4s or turbo 350/400 but a lot of people still use the 2 speed

They are just such nice cars. I am filming a 1969 Nova with a 396 in it tomorrow for another story. Always like to see what others peoples stories and dreams are!

Cool video and it's very nice of the owner to let you get behind the wheel. A 71 Chevy Nova 2 door used to be my daily driver nearly 25 year ago. I lived in Reno, NV back then and got it for $500, almost rust free. It was a fun car even though it only had a 250ci inline 6 with a Powerglide, very basic with manual brakes and manual steering. It was still relatively quick, agile and could do 80 mph consistently on I80 going to the bay area. Great memories 🙂.

Oh nice man yeah they are great cars and for the size the 6 cylinder did just fine. Yeah Nova has been my dream car for a while so it was really cool to drive one of these finally after searching for so long. Now I finally have one looking forward to driving it someday (its in a million pieces). Thanks for commenting again and sharing your story

Yah, driving is the real thing ❤.
Don't get caught burning rubber not all cop's allow that. Thay don't normally give tickets for that I was told by a cop but I can't say it's always worth it. Did a burnout with my bmw actually was not intentional. And would you know there was a cop and he wasn't happy. But he told me how to get out of the ticket. 🎉
Don't rev and dump the clutch. If going for a fast take off. I was new to the power. 😂

And apparently 2,000 rpm will do it.😅

The Finateri Brothers had a Nova with the same paint scheme years ago. I don't think this is the same car.

@SubdivisionAuto The Finateri's car was racing 45 plus years ago.
Bruce's SS Chevelle showed up in my feed! We live in the same neighborhood. I'm binging on your videos . Good stuff, well done!
I just got my car up and running again last week. Unfortunately, the seasons aren't with me right now.
