i dont know how drunk i was to miss this event, since its in my home state, I've been on stand by to film this location and dropped the ball as well as getting to meet the Urban Hill video team. Must of been the full moon. I will be out there if it isn't the last thing i do. Thanks for sharing and filming. As always Fya stuff 🔥
Nice video,Good no prep racing, but this track has seen years and years of prep lol, been going to this track since the 70s when i was a kid,Raced on it a few times, and anybody that has never raced on it has no clue how rough it is!I have never measured the track, but George told me it was not quite an eighth mile!Thx again for posting:-)
Only thing missing on that old Primer Grey Nova missing the front end and with a cockamamie right door is a bumper sticker that says " Rollin Wreck " the pass @ 8:57 was fun to watch, never let up when you're still in the groove.
If the NHRA had a historical society this drag strip would be in it. My bucket list is to run on that strip Somethings are better left alone. M.G. San Diego california.
This track takes drag racing and removes all of the useless shit, like guardrails, walls, and barriers, and replaces it with cool shit like grass shoulders, wooden posts, and chainlink fencing.
I don't know how to say it's I'm glad. You know brother in the black pickup truck that is OK? Then you can breathe and he said it only thing is bothering him. That's his stomach and his chest he/ gonna stand up and talk about it be careful next time.!¡!!
The legendary OG, George rays!!! the grandaddy of no prep before it was called no prep!!

That track looks really short. Well, it really isn't after looking it up, sure looks like it though.
No concrete barriers down track…only chain link fence…hope no wrecks ever occur down track because there are spectators down there.
then youve never seen or dont know the history of this track. look it up. very interesting part of american racing history
Sucks about the truck bud ..glad your ok
1:38 - The pickup truck -
The dumbest choice in drag racing vehicles.

1/8 mile is lame
So cool to see a proper redneck track surviving in this era of cancel culture🤘
