Topdon, Thinkcar, Xtools are all basically produced by the same factory in Shenzhen in China. I have the Thinkcar 4 channel oscilloscope that I plug into my Topdon phoenix lite 2, It plugs in and it functionally works perfectly. The TOPDON AD900 Lite looks very similar to the one you've got on the interface and the way that magnetically attaches to the back of the unit is identical. Thing that really annoys me about most tools is their renewal prices for the updates. it was cheaper for me to buy a new Xtool with a three-year licence than to buy 2 year licence update for the current tool (TOPDON).

It would be interesting to test several scanners on the same vehicle with the same fault. I think it's hard to compare scanners by testing times on different vehicles with different faults since I believe all vehicles aren't same speed when it comes to diagnostics. Protocol may be the same but the ECUs aren't. I'll keep my Autel MaxiCheck MX808S-TS since it has the TPMS reprogram/new install while this needs an extra module (I think?) @@G-ra-ha-m Is it confirmed to be faster with cable in an OBD connection? I would have thought BT isn't the bottleneck in this scenario? It has life time updates, which was even a shock to me. For this price and lifetime and all of those options? Bargain. Jimmy forgot to say it in the video, like with all of the other tools, which is actually a very important thing to say. Not that it is going to matter if you are going to have the same car that is already more than 5 years old, bought it second hand and you want to keep it for a long period. The problem with not having updates is when you have something like a brand new 2024 car that is not supported on the list.
@@ORileysAutos Actually, Jimmy, I forgot to tell you that, me being in IT, this launch eurotab is not made by Launch. Launch is only specialized in software, not hardware. Your tablet for sure is made by lenovo or some other brand similar to it. You are paying a big price because of programming, and also because all of the cables come with it. That's it really. Thinkcar also has the same looking eurotab 3 but they call it different and is even cheaper. So the price on these things doesn't mean a whole lot. They do this deliberately because they know mechanics are not IT people, otherwise, they would know that you would compare devices from similar brand instead of buying the best of the best just by looking at the price. To know which company made your tablet, go to settings, scroll all the way down, go to "about this phone/tablet" and somewhere there you will find the company who made it.
