this headphone for SOME GODDAMN REASON it has THE BEST base sound quality ever. i don't know why but it was better than bose and beats

because its a gaming headset dumby its meant to emphasize gunshots which are extremely bassy

Nice review, I just purchased them Saturday so I had one full day to test them out, all of the headsets that came out on the 7th are stereo sound not surround sound, for $80 you cant go wrong..
First of all thank you for the review, very nice information, I just have a few questions. This headset lets you here game audio from the headset correct? And if so, does it mute the audio coming from the TV as well? Also, you said that you use this to listen to music with your phone/MP3 player, which means that it works on PC too? And if it does work on PC, does the mic work as well? Sorry for all the questions, but if anyone could answer me that would be great :)

Thanks for the review. I picked mine up yesterday and very happy with my purchase. I was going to get the Polk or Turtle Beach, but I figure I'd go with the budget buy rather than spending more money and a better headset comes out later this year. Only "issue" I have is that my voice doesn't connect with the mic. I'm also pretty anti-social online, only talking with friends and with certain games/times, so I'm not use to speaking to be heard. I'm hoping that's it rather than the mic being too far from my mouth to catch my voice. Other than that, I'm happy with it. Later I'll get something more snazzy, but for now I can hear the foot steps and direction of the bullets coming my way. After a few months without a headset, I had to really "relearn" how to "hear with headsets." lol That being said, when going by a I.E.D. in Call of Duty Ghosts, I often didn't hear the "pings" until it was too late. The sounds of gunfire drowned out nearly everything. Again, I'm used to hearing from my TV with this game, so perhaps that's a factor. Thanks again for your review and other headsets.

Booredatwork, I have watched your videos for both 1st party headsets (PS4 Gold and Xbox One Stereo) and I was wondering which one had the better overall audio quality in your opinion? I know that the mic is obviously better on the Xbox side but in terms of audio quality and build quality which would you prefer if you were going to use a headset that could operate on both platforms. Your thoughts?
These things are currently $39.99 almost EVERYWHERE right now online. I watched your review and decided to try them out. Nice headset for the $$. Also these work on PS4 just plug while the Xbox One ironically needs an update still lol.
ALSO the headset adapter dongle thingy retails for $25 alone. You need this for Astros, Turtles etc.
Nice to know. I found out about the price drop on Amazon. I was wondering if these would work with the ps4 since I want to get one of those someday. And yes all headset on the xbox one need an adapter except for the new turtle back stealth 500x.

for some reason i cant even get audio for my headset i bought the stereo adapter and tried my sades headset to connect it but nothing no sound at all

Thanks for the video, I'll probably pick one up. One questions though. Since I'm getting a ps4 soon, will it have full compatibility with the ps4, meaning mic working, chat audio, and game audio? Or should I get the Sony gold headset and use that for the Xbox one? Help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I keep reading that it does work with the PS4. The PS4 is way more compatible with headsets. I has the 3.5 mm pin to support chat and game audio.

As in, if i apply a little bit too much force will it break? Is it comfortable for long gaming sessions? How good is the stereo sound quality? Can you adjust the bass? How good is the bass? I realise i have just asked quite a few questions, and i'm sorry for taking up so much of your time :P Thanks in advance! :)
Thanks for subscribing. The headset isn't flimsy. though it does feel like it . its quite durable. but I suggest not seating on it. The Stereo headset quality is good. But you can't adjust the bass as everything runs through the headset adapter. Bass is decent for the price. It sounds good. Hope that helps

I just purchased the XBOX ONE Stereo Headset. The reason for viewing your video was to see how they fit and if they were worth buying. One thing about these are that they are built for long term gaming. Were Turtle BEach xo fours are smaller and make your head hurt were the xo sevens are built for comfort. The sound is way to much in these sets. My question is at high volume do they distort?
If you plug in another set of headphones into the adapter, do you get both game and chat audio?
I want to use this as a headset on my PC as well but it refuses to recognize the mic on it. Funnily enough the headset mic works fine on my Mac but I really would love for it to work on Windows 10.

Nice review. I would like to add though that you mention very little about the actual quality of the sound. That should be included in a headphone review. The lows, mids, highs, etc...

that's a problem on your mic I have noticed this with a few other mics and its caused by a loose wire in the cord.
Can you post a video of the adapter? I want to know if it works well with dre beats studio before i buy one
So if I buy a 2.5mm to 2.5mm wire and connect it to me turtle beaches and my controller will it still work because my talkback cable that came with it does not work

I had these before is very comfortable and it sounds really great I think it will game most headset today in its price range a good run and music wise it’s very clear have a lot of bass

I play on a monitor and my Xbox One is NOT connected to any stereo speaker I always used Turtle Beaches X42s for sound and a headset adapter for talking. The jack for the talk back cable broke off in the adapter and now I cant talk with my friends and hear the game simultaneously. Are these a good for that sort of thing or do you have to have a stereo speaker.

I'll probably just get the adapter and use the Tritton Trigger headset I already have for my Xbox 360. The lead off the headset that goes into the amplifier box thing is a 3.1mm jack. Good stuff!

Ok , so I bought these recently but when I did a voice message to my self , my voice was staticy and loud even when I was talking low and the game volume was higher than the chat. The controller is updated and everything. Help?

I bought mine at GameStop around 5 months ago and they 2 months ago... First, one side stopped playing in game audio and chat out of it... Then a week later the mic broke. I also threw away the receipt when I got this headset (dumb move) so idk if I can return it. Does GameStop accept returns without receipts? It has the tag on it still with the GameStop barcode. Hey , I have couple questions, does the headset works without the adapter,? And does the mic require updates the controller to function the right way?
You said it doesn't work on your phone and its probably for the same reason as why it kind of doesn't work on PC. The problem on PC is that you have to mic boost like crazy to actually pick up your voice but that causes tons of static. The fix for that is to put the settings back to normal but have the actually infront of your mouth, which this super short mic can't do. Another problem about this headset is that because the mic is off to the side it picks up ALL the background noise, anything happening in your house it'll pick it up. Like more than other headsets BECAUSE for some odd reason this as the mic open on both sides, the side facing your head picks up sound and so does the other side.
I'm now trying to detach the mic and get it infront of my mouth for pc gaming and i really hope I don't permanently break it
How does it get game sound since it doesn't hook up directly to the xbox like other headsets? I guess just wirelessly through the controller? I'm baffled by this.

Andrew Miller Will have the polk 4 zShot up in an hour or so. Unboxing that is. As for sound its stereo so not much in getting direction. but decent enough
For those that don't know, you can usually find Astro A30s with the Mixamp on Ebay for the same price or cheaper. I paid $75 for mine and they were brand new. For anyone interested in buying a new headset, I'd suggest going that route instead.
