So you have spend £19.99 on a Adaptor.. then still have to use a cable to chat.. what happened to the good old XBOX 360 Completely wireless puck
AncientXXV as far as I know the 360 head set was wired I had one and I remember it has a smaller plug than the regular headphones do

Wait! So is there a way to use the adapter for JUST chat? cause I have a pair of TB XP510's And I hooked them up to the XO using the optical cable, they work great btw. But so does this mean this adapter will force my headset to play game audio through the controller?

Hi, thanks for the video and for answering to questions. Before buying the adapter I would like to know if it is going to work (anyway) with my PC headset Perixx AX-5000. I know that I am not going to get the 3D as it was with the 360 but I would be happy if I could chat and play with it. (game and chat audio coming from the headset). Right now I get the game and chat audio from plugging it to the tv but my mic is not plugged and I can't reply to chat. The headset has an audio and mic output (two 3,5 jacks). Can I plug the audio one in the TV and the mic in the pad using the adaptor? Or using another adaptor I should plug both in the pad?
Can someone tell me how the volume controls work? When i press the chat volume the one under the game volume button it turns down the game volume to and when i turn up the game volume i can barely hear anybody talk

The USB cable is so you can add the Update to the controller. What you do to update the controller is....
1.Take out Batteries
2. Plug in Stereo Adapter With Headset of choice *Important as a headset plugged in is required to turn on the adapter *
3. Plug in USB cable to controller and console
4. Update instructions should launch automatically while of course connected to Xbox Live and Bam! You're done.

So would my Xbox 360 Turtle Beach Ear Force X11's work with this? i remember i had to use an Audio Adapter that pluged into the back...so im confused
my x12's came with a talkback cable just for chatting so i assume it would work if you just plugged that in, no audio sadly
I think you'll have to use the rca cable (red and yellow cables) and plug them directly into the audio out from your tv, if your tv doesn't have audio out then see if it has "digital audio out" if it does you'll need a digital audio cable and a digital audio to rca converter which is simpler than it sounds, all of this (including xbox one stereo headset adapter) will cost you about 50 bucks. but thats only if your tv doesn't have rca audio out. hope this helped
