@@AndyTolly123 I checked the EQ settings manually and the levels were set to what most TH-camr’s were recommending. Before the update they were all level o at the 50% level.

I bought Xbox Series S less than a week ago and today I bought the wired headset. Cheaper, easier to buy (wireless has shortage in my country) and no setup with EQ. Simple yet good headset. That's what I needed.

I wish the audio was a bit similar to my Boss QC 35 II and not sure about others but they squeeze my head a bit too much.
I believe you can adjust EQ of the wired headset if you have Dolby Access app and have purchased Dolby Atmos for Headphones. Am I right? Mines due to arrive tomorrow.

A few days ago I bought the Wired headphones at a discount of almost -50%, and at first I was very excited, but after watching many reviews I suddenly find that the wired Wired set has problems with sound, I mean exaggerated bass and bad sound calibration, are you in will be able to write back something about it?

Hey man, awesome video. Just one question: With the wireless headset I had a very bad experience in Xbox Party Chat. Although I used quite a low priced headset before my friends reported a VERY bad audio quality from me using the Xbox wireless headset in the party chat. I actually returned it because of that. I was hoping the Stereo headset might prove to be better because it's wired. Did you test that as well and could give some insights here?
Yes, I did a mic test in the video. I haven't had any complaints from the wireless headset. Maybe you got a dud?
I had the same problem with the wireless headset. It picked up so much background noise that my friends told me to use my Astro A40’s or leave Party Chat.

Heard something similar about mine on Halo Infinite flight today but seemed to go away when I turned mute when not talking sensitivity to high
i had the same problem. pisses me off that microsoft cant produce a consistent headset that has guaranteed good mic quality. ☹️

As far as I can tell, mine is working as it should.
Where do you stick the batteries?
Will buy the wired. Heavily discounted in India for Christmas, one less thing to charge. Plus games I play have Atmos support so won't really miss the EQ support to make them sound good.

I have the wireless one, and I am thinking about getting a wired one, as I cracked the arm on mine. Its not snapped but probably will soon enough. I honestly hate the battery life on the wireless one and I actually hate chat balancer because I always move it when I take the headset off or put on lol I do like the sound quality from it and would love not having to charge it or have it plugged in to an outlet while playing only the controller for the times the battery dies on me

Np I can understand what you typed. I'd suggest getting the wireless one due to the additional features that the wired one doesn't have.
I'd personally go for wireless too simply because I hate wires when I'm gaming I've had a number of wired head sets and I always seem to damage the wire like when I put my controller down and stand up forgetting its connected so end up bending the connector and damaging the controller too
Yeah, that could be a problem with wired headsets.
I love the wireless headset since I finally got it after I exchanged the wrong headset during Christmas, but still I have to handle it with care. 🎄

Hi! You can control EQ on wired ones with Dolby Atmos app! You also need the app if you want to have the Dolby sound :)

I bought the wired headset shortly after I got my Series X, but I think it's an early design, because my Microsoft Wired Headset looks different from the one in this video. My main complaint with my wired headset is, even at max extension, it just barley fits over both of my ears. Might try to get the wireless to see if that fits better.

I have the wireless ones and love them. Got my son the wired because he never charges his. The sound profile is completely different, does not do Microsoft spatial audio, and does not support the Dolby Atmos Codec either. The wired is just a stereo headset. The atoms is wheres its at. It adds big sound and more EQ adjustment. Just some info that's not in this video.

No, it can connect wirelessly. But it doesn't have all the features.

I have both. I prefer the wireless with Dolby Atmos using the movie EQ for single player games, and the wired one I use with Dolby Atmos using the game EQ with performance mode for multiplayer competitive games.

I haven't noticed any issues with latency on either.

I don't have an exact way to test the latency, but the wired one would probably be in the same boat as the wireless one if you're using a wireless controller.

Question, have you noticed any latency with the wireless headset? I was certain I would get one, but I saw many people complaining that the latency was terrible, sometimes more than 1 second. The RTings review also mentions latency problems. I'm curious cause I never heard anyone saying anything about this issue on TH-cam.
The only issue that I'm currently facing is connection issues with the wireless one. It doesn't happen often, but when it does; it's pretty annoying.

I just recently got the series s and I'm having a weird issue so I'm hoping somebody can help me out I have a pair of wired steel series headphones that I use but when it's plugged in to the controller my character starts moving on and off by itself and I have to unplug the headset to regain control of my character especially in fortnite it usually happens when I'm in a gun fight and it gets me killed
Check to make sure that your controller is updated. Then try another controller to see if it does the same thing. Hopefully you'll be able to figure out what the issue is.

Maybe changing the mic settings on your PC.

Do they work good on the PS5, any trouble with audio/volume, mic or latency? I'm planning on getting a Wired headset for this exact reason since I have both Series X and PS5. I've been researching headset left and right and still unsure on which one to buy with so many brands lol
Neither of these:
The Epos H3 Headset is the best sounding headset I've ever used for gaming, watching movies and hearing music.
The only downside I can think of is the part where the cable is connected to the headset, because when you move your head the wrong way you'll hear much cable noice in the left earcup.
Not a problem for me when I'm gaming.
It sounds incredible out of the box especially the dimensional audio is phenomenal!
I use Dolby Atmos whenever I play a supported title while dts: headphone x is there for me when Atmos isn't doing the job on unsupported titles.
mic quality was better on the wireless + it has a lot of cool features

Headset with bad mic makes no sense, wireless has a very bad mic, wired has a much better mic for online matches, wired + dolby atmos for the win.
I bought mine on release day. And a few days ago, mine made the low battery sound. Then they just died , now they dont charge or anything. Rip xbox headset, you'll be missed.
