Thank you for creating and sharing this video, really clear and helpful and absolutely necessary for deciphering the cryptic and ambiguous mounting kit instructions. Keep up the great work and service
thanks! I was looking to REMOVE my old one and couldn't figure out where to start. But it occurred to find a video about INSTALLING to see what the reverse was. Simple and clear instructions of install. I easily reverse this to uninstall. Sadly, after going through my preparations, I realized I'm missing a cool older tech to help. But I think I can manage on my own! Thanks man!
Any idea if you are able to remove the moulded bottom plate that creates the "feet" of the microwave once it's hung? We've noticed that the underneath of the microwave is very visible when it's right at eye level. All of the promotional images conveniently don't show that bit.
Thanks for doing such an informative video. Did I miss the part where you attached the rear brackets? That’s the part I’m having trouble with on my installation job and was really hoping to see that step.
Great video. Thank you. Question: What are all the other lite brackets for? I plan to undermount under a corner angle cabinet. Just can't figure out what the 90 degree angle brackets are for. Any idea?
Help. Im trying to replace my moms under cabinet microwave. I cant find any microwaves with pre drilled holes in top. A different article said all microwaves can be mounted. I ordered a mounting kit from Lowes in hopes that the kit will give me some guidance. The online description did not give much info and the Lowes employee had no clue either.
There is a huge change here, and I need to know why? I have the same model and cabinet, but it seems like the bracket won't fit inside, where the template wants it to go. After you show your drilling, at about the 8:00 mark, it looks like a shelf has been added as a shim! Did you have to raise the bottom of the cabinet to get the bracket to fit properly? HELP!
That is very observant of you. The shelf was added for extra strength just because I was not going to use it and instead of just throwing it away I added it. The bracket should fit but it is very close to the ends.
Enjoyed your video but it appears that you skipped over the back brackets. You pointed them out and said that you mounted them but never showed what you were talking about there
Sorry to say, but the camera work needs a little improvement. I know that it is hard to operate the camera and be the host/narrator demonstrating and pointing at things of criticality. What I was noticing several times is that you pointed at something and it was outside the range of the video. For example, at 4:30 I could not see what you were referring to precisely, I only knew it was somewhere underneath the cabinet and wasn't sure where. Please keep making videos. I know I can learn from them if I can see everything you are pointing at. I know I am not perfect, and I too am putting myself out there, obviously not for critique but to share in knowledge. Respectfully, I hope you accept my input as positive criticism.
Check my playlist for the entire kitchen replacement ?

Loved this video. Thank you Jim. Can I do this with a Panasonic microwave using the same kit?
I don't think so. Most company's make their own kit. This kit was made by GE.
Help.

What is your trick for popping out the plastic grommets without scratching the top of the microwave.
They actually come out very easy. Anything made of plastic will work great.

What size is that microwave height wise? can see see a picture of it across the room?
Thanks for watching.
My house come with a pre-installed mini-microwave (broken). I am only here to look for how to dismantle.😄
Thanks for watching.
Angle brackets? Forget about it!
You forgot to state the exact model of the microwave!
This installation process works for most under-cabinet microwaves.
Too much talk
.
Would you happen to know the model of that microwave
I'm needing one to fit under a 12" deep wall cabinet like yours
Thanks
Sorry I don't recall.
