Cool thanks for documenting this, impressive first try looked like you've done a bunch of these! Bought an otr microwave only to realize the existing range hood is hardwired. Glad I found your video, big help!
In my area this isnt code because we are required to have a dedicated 20am breaker......with that said, I'm planning to be here until I die. Therefore, the hell with code, lol. I think i will be following your lead, lol.
@@mj233391 I can’t say I disagree! As long as it’s not dangerous who cares!? I’m Not letting my city tell me what I can and cannot do on my own property. I did find out later from an electrician that I shouldn’t have used a GFCI plug because the draw from the microwave may trip it but so far it’s been fine. Thanks for watching!
@@LexRilla thank you! I filled in the holes and taped over them. I wouldn’t do that for a customer but this is my house so I did what was fast and used what I had on hand. Everything is still sticking fine even after all this time.

You made that look so easy! I’m going to try and install mine in the morning!
Great video. Thankyou.
Thanks for watching!

Great video! I’m currently doing this too. Did you really use tape to patch up the wall? I have the same issue with how they tore into my drywall. lol
