Dr V Mohan, what a remarkable Video on Diabetic Neuropathy, I am not a doctor, I am just a ordinary person, you covered all aspects of Neuropathy in such a simple manner, I was diagnosed diabetic in 2018 with a HBa1c score of 6.8 got the knowledge about control by diet controlled my diet and in 3 months got next HBa1c score of 5.3, since then I am controlling it without any insulin or pill. I got diagnosed with this after it became severe. I am under medication and unfortunately I got infection in my big toe and after debridements every week with a stimulon and derrim my toe has started healing up. Thanks Dr mohan . THIS SESSION OF YOURS WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE FOR people of our age although I am prediabetic, I could be cautious for its future effects. Thanks once again
I have had Angioplasty recently. I did not have any symptoms of a heart attack. I only felt a toothache and constriction of my muscles in the chest, back and forearms. As a precaution, on the suggestion of my wife( rather, insistence, I should say) I visited a nearby hospital for having an ECG. The RMO there immediately referred me to another hospital where the angioplasty (PBOA) as done immediately. Watching the video, I realise that due to Nueropathy, I may not have had any sensation of pain. Thank you for the video
Thank you Dr Mohan for medical information you spoke on in layman’s language. I have been a diabetic since 1997 and been on insulin since 2002. I moved to the US in 2004 and have been on insulin and met form in all these years. I was given to understand that I had uncontrolled diabetes. In 2007 I had a quadruple bypass and around 20010-11 I became a patient peripheral neuropathy. I was on put on Lyrica and that gave me some relief. By 2014 my condition worsened and a time came when I could barely walk. I was referred to a vascular surgeon and after several tests the surgeon (incidentally an Indian) did a bypass on my legs. The situation improved and I was able to walk comfortably. Over the next few years my Doppler. readings were a cause for concern and the surgeon needed to put stents. This too didn’t last too long. On and off I began to feel no sensation in tmy foot and my podiatrist suggested I consult the surgeon suggested I go back to the surgeon as he suspected
True Sir, most unfortunate thing is diabetic peripheral neuropathy has no definite treatment. Kindly educate and do more research on this problem which is hour of the need.

Am from the Caribbean island, called Dominica and the number of diabetics is extremely high and it includes me. Next time; can you please touch on the dos and donts, concerning our meals, along with exercise? It was a pleasure listening to you for the first, also I would love to receive your future updates. Sincerely yours. Ygette Christmas.
Thank you Doctor , I am 51 yrs old from Northeast having diabetes for 25 yes. My both legs are very weak muscles pain, foot senseless. Please suggest me
Excellent explanation to common men and women.Very unfortunately the Type 2 Diabetic patients are not told by doctors about Neuropathy when they start just complaining about burning sensation in feet Also doctors tell 70 + oldies that after lunch reading 200 is normal. Here the poor oldies get the death blow of sudden neuropathic attack from which they never recover. They just die soon suffering. Doctors should not punish the senior citizens.
Thank you Doctor for the explanation in simple language. I am 66 years of age and a diabetic. Recently I experienced a sharp pain in mthe back of my neck which spread to my left shoulder and upper arm. This sensation came on and off for a few weeks and I got a tingling sensation in the whole left hand as if the full hand getting benumbed. It goes off in few minutes but recur frequently. What is the reason? My sugar level (HbA1C) is ranging from 6.8 to 7.4
It could be you neck bones, maybe pressure on a nerve. You should get it checked. There are good exercises for the cervical spine on the channel Bob and Brad.
This is first time hearing you. Very informative and you told everything in layman’s language. I live in Canada and even here I don’t find that type of information.
Thank you Dr. Learnt many terms and details through this session. Dr can you later when you feel it's a good idea, cover about symptoms of insulin resistance when they are thin outside and fat inside, symptoms of LADA.
Namaskaram Sir 🙏 Can u suggest us the Tests to check the Nerve Condition, APART from Podiatry Tests (Sensation Test, Temprature Test, Leg Blood Pressure Test) My Current HbA1C is 6.9, Time in Range is 65%, I did Above Podiatry Tests but it were Normal Except Cold Sensation Test in little Extent. Symptom i Feel is that: I don't Feel Great Strength in My Feet Sometimes and i Sometimes feel a Very Light Swing in Body while Standing. My Age is 38, I am Type-1 Diabetic since 18 Year's. Pls Guide for any Accurate, Reliable and Advanced Test For Nerves Check Up. Pls Also Start One Branch in Pune. Sir I Really Love Your Work. Thanks a Lot 🙏🙏
Thank you Dr. Very informative for laymen like me. I am taking JANUMET 50/500mg 2x daily. My diabetes is controlled now. I learned that many complications result with long-term taking tablets , and none or very little if using insulin injections. What do you think? Thank you for your attention to this question. More power and God bless you.
Dear Doctor, I'm having type 2 diabetics. Since I am regularly having check up every 3 months for HbA1c. First cycle it was 6.3. second cycle it was 6.7 and it is due now for the third cycle during the end of this month Aug 2022. I'm 68 years old and following all the advises given by the doctors. The random FBS shows in-between 96 to 110 and the PPBS in random is 123 to 157. Diet controls and excuse are being followed without fail. As I came to know recent past that My feet are getting irritated on and off. Kindly, advice me how to eradicate the feelings of the feet which are often get irritated. Thanks and awaiting your reply.
A great presentation. On the other hand the replies by diabetic patients are intelligent and informative. As a urologist , I noticed below in clinical experience as Diabetic neuropathy is known to Develop even with normal level on follow up tests : blood sugar, HbA1c showing normal range. However the severity of neuropathy are likely to be less and likely to develop late. It appears like “dagger of neuropathy standing on” with present method of monitoring and newer drugs management of diabetes mellitus. CGM ( continuous Glucose monitoring ) May let know how is blood sugar it 24 hours of the day and can help better control. However that is expensive. I feel the patient’s diligence, financial and social and psychological strength can help to give ADD GO the better outcome in control of DM
Thanks I just across your channel and I have subscribed it and I am a diabetic for 38 years and i have been told that I have PAD my A1C, blood pressure, cholesterol are normal and I am 78 years old . Best wishes from Canada.

Excellent explanation to common men and women.Very unfortunately the Type 2 Diabetic patients are not told by doctors about Neuropathy when they start just complaining about burning sensation in feet
Also doctors tell 70 + oldies that after lunch reading 200 is normal.

Thanks a lot, sir. The concepts of neuropathy brought home so conveniently and smoothly!

I'm 68 years old and following all the advises given by the doctors.
The random FBS shows in-between

Plant Based Diet! Is your answer. Thank me later.
