I'm at 8500 miles and haven't touched mine. Probably should!

If you over fill your oil on top ups the tube will trap any excess being oil being blown into the airbox by the crankcase pressure, also constant high revs can lead to the crankcase pressure rising and some oil can be blown out of the crankcase into the airbox and out into the tube, wet weather riding can also lead to water entering the airbox and then it goes into the tube instead of into your engine so in those conditions it is wise to check more often, the oil is no longer just burnt off like on older systems as it can damage the catalytic converters so it is now collected in the tube, all part of emissions standards, it is cheaper to clear it out of a tube than buying a new catalytic converter for your exhaust.

Thanks for the quick demo! I just was trying to figure out what that meant too. Thanks again for the lesson.

Hi there, have you had the need to remove the front sprocket cover for cleaning? Trying to figure out the best way to remove it due to the shifter linkage being in the way.

th-cam.com/video/8ywVGtY7YI0/w-d-xo.html This helped a bit, but I realized the rod on the manual makes the clearances tighter to remove the cover. You’ll just have to do your best to finagle it out (I found it easier reinstalling). Alternatively, you could remove the pedal bracket for more room.
