Only yesterday I tried to lift up my Rebel and lubricate the chain using the Snap Jack. Worked perfectly out. Many thanks for the next very good advice :)
It's great to hear from you Tomasz, hope you are doing well brother, the riding season is finally here!! i'm really happy that it worked for you, i love mine and use it all the time, it was a blessing when i was touring back in Feb!
Nice job! I need to get one of those SnapJacks for my Rebel road kit. I have a Pit Bull rear stand for working on the bike at home, but lubing the chain on the road is tricky. The Rebel 1100 is a heavy bike, so rolling it forward & back just to lube the chain is a pain. I have similar off-road stands for my ADV bikes, but they aren't beefy enough (or short enough) for the Rebel's weight. A good safety trick is to wear your riding glove on the hand that you're using to snap the jack up/down. At least you'll have a buffer in between your skin and the metal chomper! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
HAHAHA your ears must have been ringing, RebelCanuck and i just commented about your pitbull stand!!! Love the idea of the riding glove, duh! makes perfect sense! I should have asked you before that sucker bit me! LOL Used this setup during the trip to Ben's meetup, worked like a charm!
@@ontherebel11 hello, I would like to get your thoughts on Burly Brand newest uploaded tutorial video- ape hangers. Do you think it would suit your riding style? It would be awesome if you decide to get the set because you would have done a much better tutorial that we can all follow along.
@@TB-ue2kw Thank you TB, i haven't looked at the video yet as they don't suit my riding style, but i'm definitely interested to learn how they were able to make it happen! Thank you for the recommendation TB!
Thank you TK! I'm very happy with this setup for touring! I've also found myself using it regularly to oil my chain, instead of the paddock stand 🤣🤣 just easier and faster
I use "Liqui Moly 3510 Grasa de Larga Duración, LM 47, Langzeitfett + MoS2" and I don't have to lubricate so often. You should try it. It is easy to put on the chain with a tooth brush.
Thank you! It has come in handy so many times while touring! Even helped adjust my friends chain while we were in the middle of nowhere while touring the Appalachian mountains!
Scottoiler do a vac system which uses the fuel evap system to oil the chain using a T piece adapter to the vacuum side of the system to supply the negative pressure for the Scottoiler pump system. I am using a Tutoro which uses the bumps in the roads to operate a small pump which supplies the Scottoil in the reservoir to the chain.
Appreciate the video. I purchased the skipjack but have a Rebel 1100T, with the stock exhaust. Do you think I'll have any problems setting the jack on the swingarm?
Hi Mitchell, yes sir it will work with the T model, the exhaust is the same as the 21 model, I personally tested it with the stock exhaust and it works with plenty of room to spare 👍
I swear... one of the things I'm finding after watching your videos is that I somehow always end up buying something new. These videos are getting dangerous for my wallet! LOL ... but another great video! I recall you mentioning in the past that you always lube your chain after so many miles and knowing that you take some rather long trips, was wondering how you managed that on the road. I literally just ordered a pitbull rear lift yesterday and am now wondering if I could've just gotten away with this for lubing the chain. Very cool lift. Hope it'll fit in my fork bag.
Hi Spryttle! Great to hear from you! I changed the way I carry the jack and chain lube while touring, I now place them in a bottle holder that I used to use for a fuel bottle, made my life so much easier while on the road, so size wise it might fit in your fork bag, just be mindful of the weight and sharp edges. 🤙
I commute to work and ride on the weekends. I have the 24 Rebel 1100DCT. Do i just do everything you just did in the video every 300 miles or so? I live in Florida, and it's humid and dry most of the time. I only ride on pavement.
How many miles do you have on your rebel now? I just got mine about a month and a half ago with 200 miles today. Your videos have been extremely helpful.
How can you ride it so little? Was so extra excited when I got mine, i did the 600 mile first change in less than a week. Broke 10k in less than a year 🤣
Any recommendations on the type/brand of oil lube, cleaner and wax? I'm stocking up on maintenance products for my new 1100. I value recommendations from 1100 owners.
Hi Craig! For everyday riding, I use Honda cleaner and lube, while touring, I don't clean the chain, I just lube it and prefer using bel ray. No particular reason, I just like the way it sticks to the chain for longer. 🤙
Bonjour monsieur Très aidant cette vidéo. Merci pour vos conseils. J'ai acheté la rebel 1100 dct. Une moto sensationnelle. Pouvez vous me dire le mien pour trouver ce produit pour graisser la chaîne.

How often is it recommended to do this after a certain miles?
