- Finally, I fixed my Proform Carbon CX Fix with a CH0 CH1 error and created a video with Simple Steps for your Success.

For the “Hello” only on display: press the iFit button for 20 seconds and it will reset

It would be great if we could install a manual resistance control. My other bike works like that and it's hassle free.

Thank you! This worked for me. I did the 20sec reset multiple times but it didn’t work until I replaced with new (Duracell) batteries.

Hmmm.. That does not ring a bell. Have you tried just pushing the buttons? Maybe take the batteries in and out. I cannot remember what it was like the first time I connected it to my tablet.

Hi! My bike is new, today is the first day, when i putt the batterys, the screen turn on, then iFit app ask me about an updating and the screen turn off, i tray all and nothing works, somebody can help me please
Sorry, I do not have a solution for that. You may find something if you read through all the comments though. Users have been great helping each other out with these bikes.
Thank you so much! I tried the 20sec reset multiple times and it didn’t work. The new batteries are what finally fixed the issue for me. After having been on hold for 2 hours trying to get help from proform and then being told the only way they could help was to send out a tech for diagnostics costing over $250 this video really turned my day around!

Yes seems like it needs new batteries frequently at least in my experience kind of annoyed I have to change the batteries every week
Thank you for sharing this great info, I've watched the previous video were you changed the cable that PROFORM send, so your progress includes the new cable and stop watch new batteries? I've changed to new batteries and nothing!!

ok. I do not think the cable did a darn thing for me. A tech fella said make sure you use the timer... and bam that solved it. Any chance the batteries are in the wrong way? That area is always tricky for me to see since it is dark under there.
greetings. I have a problem and it is that my bicycle was working well and when I moved and started riding it, it was giving the error that I will show you in the image.
Did you have a different error than CH0 or CH1?

Replacing the batteries worked!!

Well, I was hoping this would fix my problem but whoever built the bike made darn sure the screws weren't going anywhere, lol

Uggh. I would say try more than once. make sure you have a timer. Maybe replace batteries. Proform sent me a cable and a display... After I did the fix in the video I tried the original cable and display and they worked. Easier to use them then fish the new cable through so I went with it. In the end I had a paperweight for 4 months because I did not use a timer. How goofy is that?
Try adding a new set of batteries after holding the button down, that worked for me!

trying to fix one of these for a friend. in frame cable was disconnected. after reconnecting i get a repeating hello message and eventually get a BSC8 code. i will be trying this reset method see if i get anything. however should this not working anyone have any advice? i tried sourcing another part and they are not easy to find and the one i did find was $200 O.O
I do not have an other tips. The company did send me a 2nd display, but I found the timer trick was all I needed. Someone did mention if you hold the Ifit button you can get past the Hello message though.

I am not sure. The only trick I has is the timer trick I shared in this video.

I would check that the batteries are in the correct directions.
I got tired of playing with it, so I got electrical tape and held that spring loaded magnet up above the wheel and taped it up and away from the wheel, so I'm now riding like the wind lol.
Does that mean no resistance?
@@HLModTech Yep lol, if it gets too easy, then I'll try to lower the magnet closer, so I save on batteries lol, as I don't really need to time myself or know how fast I'm going, as I just want the exercise. I had a stationary bike in the 90's that had a knob to turn the tension up and down while riding, which was so simple and convenient, but this new generation needs digital everything lol.
Amen on the exercise! I need to get back on mine too. We had the stationary bike too, Ours had a large fan for that front wheel. The harder you pedaled the more air resistance. I had not thought of it in years!
@@HLModTech Good timing lol, as I just did 20 minutes on that bike and will do another 20 minutes later. I had an accident at work in 2020, breaking my pelvis and right hip socket, so the bike is great exercise for my bad hip and hopefully I can put off a hip replacement for years, just by strengthening both hips and dropping some extra weight that will make it easier on my hips. Good luck with your goal to get back on the bike, as I already feel much better and will hopefully keep it up, as we all get into bad habits sometimes or laziness in my case lol.
unplugged and plugged in the wires, changed to brand new batteries and it works! Thanks!

proform elliptical carbon hiit trainer the console keeps blinking/flashing there is nothing on screen how do you fix that
I am not sure. I think I would start with making sure the cables are all connected though. Of course batteries in and out is a good easy step too.
What kind of screwdriver did you used to take the battery out?
Just a normal flat blade. They stick in there pretty well...
I changed my batteries for my display screen and now my screen continues to say HELLO and does not allow me to navigate the display
I would start by taking the batteries out. Letting it sit for a few minutes. And then putting them back in.

How long do the batteries last? I imagine pairing with iFit and using the automatic resistance (a few times a week) really wears down the batteries? Do they, on average, require weekly or monthly replacement?

I actually wired mine up to a power brick.
Well, I have done this 4 times with new batteries and it still shows CHO and the wheel is still tight to turn. Even when click the "minus" sign. Anything else I need to know?
I cannot remember if my wheel stayed tight. I do know that I had to use the timer to finally get that to go away.
Any updates on this. My bike is new got it in December but never got to use it but home I put together I lost receipt and tried doing the warranty but o emailed preform and no response. I call and I am on hold for hours nothing. I have never been able to use bike. I tried new batteries tried resetting multiple times and the CHO still comes on and peddles are so tight
Mine has worked fine ever since I did the fix above.

How strong is the resistance?
I have to get up in the teens for it to fit my needs.
Mines just keeps saying hello , no ch1 on the screen
Already tried the 20 sec thing and still no luck
I have never seen that. Maybe try taking the batteries out for 10 min to make sure it drains... then give it a go.
@@HLModTech i took them out overnight and kept trying to drain it. I ended up just returning it. Thanks for the reply.
