- I channel my inner HLModGyver and give you simple steps to Add a Display Power Switch for your Proform Carbon CX. My Carbon CX display was on at all hours of the night which seemed silly. This eliminates that issue without really modifying the bike.

Mine completely died, can’t get it to power on
Ugg. I would start with checking to see if a battery is in backwards or something. Also the wires in there could be corroded. Lastly I would jump on hold and see if support will send you a new display.
Had this same issue..... replacement $190,bike is useless without it

Hi McGyver Sir! Any idea how to solve the problem "Hello" at my display. Nothin is working at all, I just have HELLO appearing when moving the pedal. Thank you soooo much! 🪔
I do not have a solution for that one. I would likely start with checking the cable connections. Did you put yours together yourself or snag it used?
Good idea because I am starting to hate this bike and Pro-form. I was on hold for 2 hours and got no help for this issue.
I have actually got a new rig where I used an alligator clip and a power brick. I only plug it in when I want to use it. Works like a champ.

Just disconnect any device connected to it. It will automatically shut off…😂
You’ve never walked in the room later and just seen it on? My display was powered on all the time before I put in the little switch.
I noticed the batteries were dead but it had not been used in awhile. So I put new ones in and rode. Next morning it was on. So I did search on google nothing really. Then you tube saw your video but that’s ridiculous 😂. You should not have to be a hack electrician to operate a cheap stationary bike. So I read the owners manual 😃. You have to disconnect all devices and it has an automatic shut off. It’s in page 20 of the owners manual😃

My new version has it wired to a power brick so I never am wasting batteries. It is a jinky setup, but I have not complained. Sometime I need to turn that into a video. Thanks again for the visit!

I took the alligator clip off the wires.
