Holy crap! Is this the first flexispot "review" WITHOUT affiliate links in the description?! Interesting that the review without affiliate links and from the TH-camr didn't get the desk for free actually shows the stability/wobble instead of not showing it at all or doing a really poor fake "wobble test"! Well done and thank you very much. Your honesty and transparency will see you overtaking and outlasting many of the channels out there. Channels that are genuine have staying power. Keep it up!
I have 2 large monitors and I had the same problem with stability (with flexispot E7). But most of reviews on YT don't even mention it ! I'm glad to finally find someone who say it out loud. I'm saving for the apex pro from deskhaus
it wasn't a problem UNTIL I got a big monitor! but hopefully this can help someone. deskhaus seems like such good quality stuff! just wish they had more things in stock
I'm really sorry to hear about the shaking problem. I have the exact same desk with a 34 inch ultra-wide monitor, and I have ZERO problems with shaking. It definitely has something to with either your particular desk unit, or your monitor.
yeah must have been something like that :/ I did also think it could have been the floors but there are adjusters on the bottom and i've since moved and had the same issue. good that yours is working for you!
wow! you saved me. I have a big monitor with a mount to desk stand. I dont even think I have the original stand anymore. I almost got one of these during the prime day sales.... I was keen because of the draw and usb ports. I will keep looking. Thanks!
Wow I'm glad I found this review. I have the same samsung 32" with a monitor arm and clearly it won't work on this one. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts.
I have the Flexispot Odin and can attest that it's very stable, and I truly love it. There is however no drawer and installing one might be tricky, given the metal bars running longways. Just something to consider. Thank you for sharing this review.
I watched another standing desk video and he was having the same problem and said that when he got a desk with 2 legs on each-side that it was a lot more stable. I can see how having support on every corner would help as oppose to only having support in the middle of each side. It definetly was an expensive desk though about $700. Most the standing desks I've seen only have 2 legs.
yepp the extra legs for support make sense. I've been eyeing the 4 leg one from Uplift and it's like +$300 more than the regular desk AND I still might not be able to attach my monitor arm
i've heard that "resetting" the legs by sending the desk all the way down until it bounces will help ensure the legs are truly level, maybe that could help with the wobbling?
@@hintofglosss you can use 3M tape to glue a piece of wood that's slightly higher than the outer rim of the desk. That way when you mount the Monitor arm you have clearance to not touch the outer rim and just adding pressure to the wood
Thank you for your honest review. Is the instability more side-to-side or front-to-back or both? If it's side to side you may try screwing a rectangular panel behind and between the outer leg sections or fashion some tension cables to crisscross back there. Not ideal, but perhaps an interim fix until you can upgrade the frame. I just ordered their E5 with bamboo in the 55 x 28 size and sure hope it'll be much more stable than what you've experienced.
it was really all over shaking, subtle depending on how hard you were typing but enough to annoy me. I think how I had the weight distributed on the desk was also a big factor so having additional support would probably help. I ended up getting an Uplift and I'm really happy with it so far. hope all is well with your E5!
for me, yes. it was shaking in a sitting position and got worse standing. a large factor I think is how I had the weight distributed with a heavy monitor in the middle but still! made the desk basically unusable for me
Hey great video thanks. I am looking at this exact one to make an L shape with my Jarvis. Do you think it would be shaky for drawing when it is not in standing mode?
In my experience that would be fine! There was no shaking while writing in sitting mode. Standing mode was…. Very questionable I’ve since updated to the Uplift desk and it’s been amazing. I’ll link my review on that and I plan to make a 1 year update soon! th-cam.com/video/Zie6YQIQONs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oXFuvnf8YAJdngIp
I like the size of the monitor (32") but its soo unstable on the desk. I think its a combination of the desk and the weight of the monitor that makes it shakey. So I wouldn't recommend 😅
Good review thanks, did you upgrade the desk? Considering one myself for two 27" monitors but concerned with that wobble. This desk can support alot of weight i wonder if some extra weight to the underneath near the front would balance it out.
I did!!! I got an Uplift V2 Commercial and should have a full review posted in the next few weeks! I gave this flexispot desk to my partner and he uses two 20-something inch monitors. no complaints about the wobble so far so that setup may work for you too
Hi, did you decide on a new desk? I am looking to purchase a standing desk and also a 40 inch monitor, so very keen to know if you found a desk that solved the shaking problem. Thanks
hi so I actually have not yet - got a little held up but I’m planning to get a new one soon! I’ve narrowed it down to a few and most likely going to go with one from Uplift. I’ll make a video as a follow up once that happens!
@hint of gloss I am not sure if Uplift desks are available for purchase in UK. However, I hope your new desk works out well and I look forward to your video

hahaha of course I’m not going to try to profit off a desk I hated 😅 appreciate the kind words!

The stability issue is a dealbreaker. Thanks for the review.

The black wood color is stunning. You can also add a piece of wood behind/under your desk to hold the monitor mount.
!!! that’s actually a really good idea
wow! you saved me. I have a big monitor with a mount to desk stand. I dont even think I have the original stand anymore. I almost got one of these during the prime day sales.... I was keen because of the draw and usb ports. I will keep looking. Thanks!
I do like the usb ports but I would definitely rather be able to mount my monitor! glad this helped 💗
Finally an objective review. Thanks!

those 4 legs definitely add stability that this desk doesn't have! lesson learned though. i'd rather have a stable desk instead of a drawer

thank you ❤ had to share my honest experience with this desk!

Leaving a like and thumbs up for your efforts 👍🏽
Thanks for this honest review!
Have you tried to use a block of wood to add more thickness for the monitor arm?
ooo interesting.. wondering how would I attach the wood to the desk though 🤔

I just bought this for $270 😭😭 should i cancel the order
nah it’s probably actually worth that much
Do you know what's the measurement of the frame with the board? Cause I think I do have a 2.5 inch max on my monitor arm and I dunno if it's gonna fit
it’s 6 inches on the desk I have. I’m not sure if things have changed since I bought it

thanks for the support ❤
i just checked and the price is the same so i guess the "sale" is really just a gimmick to lure people
