Thanks for making a "desk setup" video, like others have, that isn't pretty much a commercial for overpriced Grovemade items (which of course were given to the content creator for free).

That desk shelf looks good, but you can definitely tell from the shots it's cheap. It looks like it's dipping in the middle!

I have the Navaris desk shelf and I really like the look. Couldn't go for the Grovemade, but I'm happy with this one. The HumanCentric laptop stand is also inexpensive and looks great!
That's the same shelf I have. It holds both of my monitors with no problem.

@@XxALBERT3000 There's a magsafe charger which works for Apple devices, but the bottom slot used for airpods can definetly be used for Android too!

A layered wood shelf is stronger than a solid piece of wood of the same thickness. I trust a 1 inch piece of plywood more than a solid piece.
Good to know! I’m not that knowledgeable with material strength. The plywood is so light that it’s difficult for me to equate it to being sturdy.
if you want the most durable, high quality mouse/desk pad, order one from Uplift desk. They are a "leather" like material, but I have spilled food all over the thing and everything just wipes right off every single time ( I eat at my desk 100% of the time, I don't own a dinning room table.)
I have to have this cube! I switch off my mobile during work as I get drawn into the web with all the alerts and never come back to work lol. That webcam is going on my wishlist too, my Logitech has had its days. I think that model also has a handle option to use as vlogging, non? Great video, I subscribed, thank you.

I was gonna buy that desk shelf but was worried it would be too cheap feeling so I went with one from Nordik
How to make deskshelf... get 4x (or more?? if you must?) adjustable height furniture legs (or fixed length) of a range that suits your needs.. mine uses long discontinued 6" ikea legs mounted on a 6' x 10" x 1" oak board finish in a dark stain.... holds currently 2x 27" Viewsonic 1440P monitors and JBL L1 bookshelf speakers which measure 22 x 18 x14 in these fit comfortably to the side of the monitors... the speakers weight 48lbs There are another set of NHT SuperZeros on top of the L1s all in all the shelf is probably holding ~80lbs of stuff including the speakers and monitors.
I bought that desk shelf and spray painted it grey on the sides and lags and it looks amazing!

Plywood will always be stronger than solid wood. composite plywood eliminates weak points in the wood that can cause twisting or cracking.

I notice that you don't have the middle "leg" on it. How is that working? I'm looking for something bigger than I have, but no monitor would be on it. I have a sound bar I have under it so would not use the middle leg ..... if it still works well

Hi Mike, 1st of all thanks for this amazing review, very very helpful, and also the way you drive the information through the video, also very important is that as different to many many many videos I see in TH-cam you don't ask to follow and like at the beginning of the video, but up until the end, which i always stop seeing videos and of course don't like when I see as soon the youtuber ask for a follow and a like just starting the video, I mean How can I like a video when I haven't seen nothing of the information, so Kudos for that, and the other thing I put a comment and most of the time no one reply, but yes they ask to follow, that just makes me realize one thing "those channels or youtubers just don't care", again thanks for the review on all items in this video.

Skip the speakers, they sound terrible.
Go to DIY audio, find the SB Acoustics 27 liter closed speaker. Build those. I got them as 5.1 phantom centre, best ever.

I see vertical laptop stands everywhere. However, most laptops also use the keyboard to dissipate heat. Isn't it bad for the laptop to overheat in a vertical position? Closed?
I've been doing it for years with my macbooks and I've never had any issue. My wife uses a windows laptop in the same manner. I think most of them have vents underneath the laptop nowadays.

Doesn’t the desk shelf have 3 feet? It would hold 100lb if you use all 3.
It does. I couldnt use the 3rd leg because of my monitor's base. Even with the 3rd leg I'm not confident putting 100lbs on top of this shelf. Even if it can hold it the build quality just isn't convincing to me personally.

Would just comment that the Logitech keyboard at $170 is a terrible deal - there are several better mechanical keyboards for much less
Unless it includes amazon unionization, they are not an option for me.
