thank you so much for providing just a straightforward review after actually utilizing the desk and sufficiently testing its features. For some reason its so difficult to find a thoughtful, subjective review that highlights the factors to consider. Specifically the height consideration (not just mentioning the desk range, but also how its impacted your ability to sit ergonomically), adding clicking/typing to the noise demo for comparison (which was brilliant), the stability, and the ANTI COLLISION. I haven’t seen anyone discuss the anti-collision on any review of any standing desk, ever. Please become a review channel - im not tryna be dramatic but we are starved for honest info. I’m also on the market for a new ergonomic chair and would love to hear any thoughts you may have on yours currently !!
Thanks so much for your comment! I’ve been so confused about what direction to take this channel 😅 but this is my most popular video so maybe I should take this as a sign…. And I think you’re the second person to request info on the chair info so I will consider reviewing my chair. Thanks again!
Really good honest info. Your closing statement reminded me of a dude i worked with who would stand 13/14 hours. I dont think standing that long is healthy either 😂
if you have to finish something and it's a deadline you have to sit for a long time. and here standing desks are on point because you have to change your position every hour or two to stay healthy p.s. depends on what you're doing you can or cannot switch devices like from desktop to laptop. and to work while standing it has to be a specific height for your shoulder and wrists to rest and not hurt.
I had the same concerns with the height and wobble.. especially if you write a lot. If you live in an earthquake-prone area too, you really need a 4-leg table. The one at our office is solid af but it's like a back to back super heavy and thick version
I bought a standing desk from the me legged. Seems stable even in carpet, I figure if I don’t stand much, it is an awesome sitting desk anyways. Saved money by making the top myself.
It's from a Japanese stored called Nitori. The model is OC707, with pocket coil. I actually somewhat regret buying this chair as well. It fits my body well but the seat cushion is a bit uncomfortable.
I need to buy a new desk anyway so I was leaning towards a standing desk, although I never used that feature when I had access to one (granted, standing meant less privacy in a sea of cubicles). I’m leaning towards the Uppeal because it’s allegedly the only motorized desk that can go from floor (16”) to standing, and apparently they offer purchases through a vendor to support FSA payments for people in the US. They sold out yesterday because of their Black Friday deal so now, based on your video, I’m wondering if I should splurge on the Ikaria Soul Seat to encourage healthy movement and just buy or DIY a basic desk. Setting reminders for myself doesn’t work, partly because I can’t fully control my meeting schedule.
I would test out standing while working as much as possible before purchasing. I deeply regret buying my desk but it’s hard to get rid of and would feel like a waste of money. I could have gotten a much larger desk with a more suitable minimum height for less money. Hope you find a perfect desk for you!
I got it from Amazon japan. The cable tray is the "ELECTRO-WEIDEWORLD Cable Tray". I'm not sure about it's availability in other countries. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Right to the point. I am buying my first desk and can’t wait to get it, went with the E7 pro since it was like 50% off. Can you do a similar video on the ergonomic chair? Like is that also worth spending a lot of money? Or would a decent 200$ chair be enough? Thanks
Chair comfort is a very subjective thing. I honestly haven't had much luck with finding a comfortable chair for myself. The chair I showed in this video was about $300 and it's decent. But I prefer my son's chair that I bought for $150. If possible I'd recommend going to a store that sells chairs and testing them out before buying.
@@CarloInProgress yeah at the regular 28inches my body always hated it LOL, is it bad i want a standing desk just cause i can sit more comfortably? haha also great vid, you earned a sub!
I got my partner the e5 specifically for this reason and it works perfectly. I personally have a Fully jarvis that goes just as low, so I knew how important the height flexibility is. Esp when it comes to ergonomics!
I agree, the wobble has not affected me in any way since purchasing. I definitely wish I bought a desk with a larger working area. I do a lot of drawing and painting and it gets very cramped with everything on the desk. Ive had to purchase a separate cart to place tools and paper and other things that I can keep next to the desk.
Hahaha ok, being dead inside is just me not knowing how to talk on camera. Not caused by the desk. I'm glad the video made you wonder if you want a standing desk at all! I deeply regret buying it, even now, 3 months after buying it. I absolutely wish I didn't buy it but I can't return it and I'm just gonna live with it for a year or so. Another drawback I realized now that I didn't mention in the video is that it's actually too small of a work area for me. Wish I got a bigger and lower normal desk or table. I have absolutely zero use for the standing desk capability. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Our bodies are designed to move - too much sitting or standing isn’t healthy.

Awesome that you were able to save money by making the top yourself. I considered doing the same but I wasn't confident that I'd do it well.
Hey Carlo, can I know the name of chair you're using?

Really good and honest review. Thank you!

Great video! Very informative.

nice video! where did you get the cable management system underneath the desk?

You you tell me the specifications of your monitor? I’m in the market and it looks pretty good
@@alphaartisan it’s the ASUS 4K ProArt PA279CRV. It’s a great monitor.
thats why im getting the e5, cause it goes down to 23 inches
That's awesome. Hopefully you love the desk. I wish I researched desk height more before I bought my desk 😭 I really don't like my desk!

@@realandrisbiedrins Awesome, those both look like great desks
IMHO, the wobble of this desk is really minimal. I am more concerned about how larger table top performs.
