    In a lot of places, there are no limits due to the volume of fish whether it’s a lake or a river. Also the species of the fish. People have been and I’ll use the word fishing this way as long as there has been fishing. It’s not the same as the fly rod and catch and release in the Rocky Mountains. But it’s very fun and you can freeze with some high-quality good eating fish.

    I have some cousins in Louisiana that use scrap cheese for an attractant in their hoop nets. Do you use any bait or do you just suspend the nets where fish will just swim into them?

    • @godscountryhuntingfishing1638
      @godscountryhuntingfishing1638  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Cheese is legit when targeting Blues or Channel Cats. Flatheads, not so much. Gotta learn where those fish swim to catch them. Bait in 90% of the water and catch blues or channels. Find that 10% of the water Flatheads swim in and you'll catch Flatheads

    • @justdoingitjim7095

      @@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 I live near a large inland lake in Texas and we mostly have Blues and then we have some Channels. We don't have many Flatheads, but that's okay. I fish to eat and I love them Blue cats! I can really load up on them, because I make my own cheese based punch bait!

    • @godscountryhuntingfishing1638

      @travisbond4218 not really. I've explained this quite often. If you don't get the fish dressed fast when you got a lot, your gonna have some spoil. That would be much worse

    Lol Danielle dropping the fish in the boiling grease saying,” listen to them scream !” Lol. Watching you run the nets in the main channel with it up like that, guess that’s a pain to deal with. Them rivers can be dangerous and unforgiving.

      The backbone itself isn't bad, but the tiny ones run close to it. If you don't get close to it you'll clip those small ones. Most likely they'd fry crisp anyways, but they can get left attached if not careful

    • @godscountryhuntingfishing1638

      I've personally just never seen one built like that. I'm sure it is convenient, but would probably be hard to redo ones I have already built since they all tared. How did you tie your second throat out? I'm gonna assume you run a line horizontal across the rear hoop and tied the throat to that line?

      Buffalo and sucker fish are two different fish. You can Google and should pull up images of each. I've never eaten sucker fish, but I know people do. They feed similar though, so I'm not sure on taste differences
