I am from Alaska, a place colder than denver or anywhere else really and I live in Butte Montana. It got down to -55F this year. Its april 16th and the snow still isnt melted and I have to say the Puget Sound Region is exceedingly boring. Constant rain that never allows for outdoor activity. Its relentless. Oregon, Idaho and east WA. Sure. They have no excuse. But Puget sound, over by Seattle, Tacoma, Olympic Peninsula, its easy to wait 3 weeks until the rain stops.

Just found your channel as my 8 year old son is sick today and he LOVES ANYTHING survival & fishing. Wanted to compliment you & say thank you for keeping it family friendly without any foul junk language as it keeps you classy and respectable. I told my son we could watch it if there wasn’t any junk language (crap, using God’s name, cussing, etc.) and we were delighted to see your language was clean and all awesome content. One old school rig to avoid your weight getting caught up in the rocks and triggering false bites.....is to tie a nail on the bottom and the hook above on a short leader of about 10" inches. This way, the nail bounces on the bottom without getting caught up, and the bait is about a foot off the bottom plus, tied directly to your line you get to feel the bite instantly.
Would like to see you do more bushcraft I'm 62 years young I've been doing bushcraft for 32 years I really enjoy watching your outings your a great trout Fisher and you live in a great area of the country keep at it brother.

My 7 year old daughter and I love your channel! We have been primitive camping since she was a tiny kiddo and I have been camping primitive since 1991. I strongly recommend that you unwind your jute twine and make a nest out of your fibers and light the fire that way! Works every time. We look forward to your next adventure! Bill and Afton, in Colorado
Your life is really fresh. Especially when you wake up in the morning and look around full of natural scenery. I feel like I want to live like this very much.
Glad to see the diversity in your channel, and that's what sets your channel so far above other fishing channels. Would love to see some more foraging videos, and a Q&A live stream so we can learn more about Leif outside youtube. Or make a post where we can ask questions and you can make a video answering some questions?
Such a great video, just like every other. Been watching for the past few years and I’m not much of a commenter but just wanted to show my appreciation. You actually inspired me and my girlfriend to move up north to northern Idaho from Texas and looking to live a little more free. Thanks again for the great videos man they are life changing!
You should carry a 10x20 ripstop tarp in your pack. Its light weight and water proof. It rolls up small enough to carry easily. Makes shelter quick and easy.
Man completely so happy to see you back in all honesty I’ve been fishing for a long time but you really made me open my eyes to it all especially mushrooms now thank you man
To imagine all the time and effort you put into your videos, just to help and entertain your community, is amazing. I've become a huge fan throughout the years. Appreciate you Leif. Keep doing your thing. 🙏🏽😎
You're the best, man. I absolutely LOVE your channel. My son and I watch it all the time. We went to Mammoth this summer and slayed them. You not only post great videos and information...but it's obvious you're a really good person. My son is 17, impressionable...and it's really, really important to see young men like you, living like this, and being the kind of person you are. Well done, friend.
Your videos are my absolute favorite. They are so well made and make me feel like I'm right there especially when it's fish on time, I can literally feel your adrenaline. You rock bro.
I am an avid fish eater, and these types of videos of outdoor fresh catch and survival is the dream life, although of course my only worry is the threat of potential bears in the area knowing it s densely forested and wild salmon swimming upstream for spawning 🤣
Honestly one of the most interesting channels here. Really has me thinking about getting a van for a year or so and just be on the go! Love the content keep it up !
Dude i just love the energy and vibes you put inyo your videos. You have alot of respect for the environment and animals you harvest. I would absolutely love to camp with you. Very nice, well done. Watching this from Germany, I'm very jealous for the nature you have to play in. Also being aloud to fish in these rivers and starting a fire out there, this is living! Thank you for sharing this with us!
I will always admire your passion and concern for the protection of our wildlife here bud. You never cut a corner or take an unnecessary risk with the fish. Also really liking the expansion to bushcraft too. BTW where is your property at? I have some property just east of oroville.

Long time watcher first time writer here! You do a great job fishing and fun to watch. One thing you need is way smaller hook for trout like really small size 16 daiichi 1150’s. To be exact.
One thing I really wish I could see on channels like these, is how to actually find water like this. Not how to identify where to fish in a spot, but how to look on a map and find a destination. I know it's silly to just give up a map coordinate, but I have problems finding anything short of a wide stretch of fast moving river with no features in it or a miniscule creek 6" deep. Without a boat it's discouraging.

Hey! I love your videos! Though I do a lot of bushcraft and from my prior experience you shouldn't use big logs to build a shelter. You really don't need wood of that diameter. If it collapses and you are under it you are dead in an instant. Smaller diameter poles are plenty good, they easily hold the furn or even the moss you use for the weatherproofing of the shelter. But keep going man you are awesome!!💪💪

Very important we all do that, so future generations can enjoy what we have or even possibly better. Your doing a great job dude!
Keep churning out your bushcraft vids Leif! Keeping it simple and adventureas with your enthusiasm thrown in; thats why we love your vids. Next trip to your EW dunes prop lets have a starvation hunting adventure. Lets bag a pheasant, chucker or better yet a jack rabbit to spit over your evening supper coals. Use your trusty sidearm loaded with shot filled shells for the quick dinner kill while filming the meets and bounds of your property. A city pheasant (whole chicken from Walmart) will do if you don't score on the hunt! Christmas best to you and yours Leif!
Haha I'm glad you're enjoying the adventures and thanks for the ideas! Definitely planning on doing some hunting around the property and still discovering which species live there. Definitely lots of city pheasant!
