    Did know you use to be a shrimper ! You just a jack of all trades.
    Them mile long trotlines I use to run. I remember afterwards I’d feel like someone beat me across my back with an ax handle. Watching y’all shrimp I believe it’s even more back breaking work. That was a hive haul !

    Well there’s something I’ve never done. Danielle was cracking herself up lol. She wanted evidence that she had a great idea, I’m guessing she made sure that made the final edit. You have some kinda luck with trailer wheels and tires, this at least second or third video I’ve seen where a tire sabotaged a trip. Note to self, carry extra tire parts and bearing if you’re with Bradley and crew 😆. Enjoyed watching this, the throwback photos and story was pretty cool

      As per Shrimping regulations, nets are measured across the float (Cork) line from webbing to webbing. The lead lines, or bottom lines are actually longer so they drag behind that float line as when they kick up shrimp they jump up and hit the top of the net instead of jumping over it. Regulations where we were (inside state waters) is no larger than a 25' trawl for recreational shrimping. The one we tore was 24'. It was probably built and sold as a 25, but most net makers will cut them just under max size so people won't have any issues using illegal equipment. Of course if you drop to like a 20' you got no problem. Now there are different regs for different size nets. If it's between 16'-25' your allowed to keep 250lbs daily on a recreational license. If you use under 16' trawl your limit is 100lbs daily. I can't make sense of that whatsoever because license fees are the same. I think Louisiana legislators and commissioners make laws just to justify their positions. Most of the conversations I have with enforcement, it seems as though they even get aggravated over all the changes. You all know we do this stuff regular and I can't keep up with changes.

    • @AdrenalineTurkeyCall
      @AdrenalineTurkeyCall หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 yeah that bag limit doesn’t make a lot of sense to me either. Glad y’all were able to find a replacement down there to keep going. Just sucks you got the other one all messed up after all the work you put into it.

      @AdrenalineTurkeyCall Well, I already had bought a new one. While repairing the Junk sale net I'd bought, I knew it was Rotten basically. I knew not to depend on it, because I know the nature of shrimping in general. Your always catching junk. I knew the first old crab trap would rip it up. I just not knowing the area and any hangs, planned on dragging the old cheap trawl first. Well, that ended up a good idea, but hey, we caught probably 75 lbs shrimp in the old $75 net before it ripped up, so got my money worth. That said, a new one isn't safe from ripping holes either

That's one of the reasons I named my channel Your Outdoors. Great video, thank you for doing what you are doing I have learned a lot from watching your channel and appreciate all of it.
