Great video !!! You may want to tie the door to the box. I learned the hard way when one slipped off the boat and sank to the bottom and crab tongs work great for getting the fish outta the box. Can't wait for the next video !!!
We're on lake now. Had good catch today in two wire nets. The traps ain't catching on lake for some reason. I'm working the flews over to try again but it may just be we need cheese instead of blocks. Seam to do fine in river
Thanks, and thanks for the follow. We got a lot of similar content on our channel you should enjoy. The traps are an ongoing project. I'm sure we're gonna redefine the flews as we fish them, but they did catch a few. Hunting season is approaching us quick and we're running in circles getting ready, laid off fishing a few weeks, lol
First one you pulled up out of the water I pictured big Chad doing that and going over the other side with the Croc’s. At least that’s what would probably happy to me. Either that or the handle ripping off in my hand.
I would drop them in Hamilton lake or down at walls lake or the north side of De Loutre Basin ran tight line and pool noddle's there did well When every they decide to put water back in Cheniere I want to try a slap trap there and get back to running yoyo's
I like Cheniere!! I'm running out of time to fish. We will a little, but hunting season duties are stacking on us quick. Next few weekends will be on the lease for sure

Same thing has happened to me on door
I normally do, guess I was in a rush. I'll definitely tie them on though. Thanks for watching!!
Them new traps caught some really nice cats.
They did pretty good for summer in the River
Can't wait for the next video 👍
Thanks!!
Fiddlers. Yep they gonna taste good. Way to go that took me back.
Lol, the lakes what's full of fiddler's🤣
That's some heavy load there, partner .
Really need a winch to run slat traps. Especially if doing it commercially
Not bad for 1st run and new traps. I believe you were a bit south of where you normally run nets. I probably see you on the lake about mid September!

Great video. Looked like a great time had by all. What flavor is your block of cheese?
Thanks. We enjoy getting out in God's Country. It's a cheese/soybean compressed block bait.
Where is the best place to get the block cheese from? Love the videos….. gonna tackle building one /two of these thanks for sharing
Nets and more in Jonesville Louisiana. Some local bait stores in North Louisiana have them also, but not sure any ship

Handle ain't coming off. I put those on🤣
Какую приманку вы используете в этих ловушках?
Scrap cheese is best
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Thanks a lot.
It's all good...groceries for the table 🙂
Any time I got a mess of fish, I'm feeling blessed!!
Caught a couple that were bigger than I figured could get in the traps. Nothing wrong with that
That one was probably 8 lbs. We caught, it's just hard telling much in mid summer. These fish just ain't acting right🤣
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 they definitely aren’t reading the script right now lol
Not a bad haul. They'll dirty the grease, no problem.
Wasn't bad for this time of year. They really not running now
Do you prefer slat traps or wire?
Wire Nets are way easier on my back and I catch as many if not more at times. To catch good with Slat traps, you really need to use Scrap cheese
Where did you get the traps from?
You gotta go back and watch our previous videos on the channel. We built these traps
Ok thanx my friend send this video ill check it out
No problem. Thanks for watching. If you haven't seen the rest of our channel, there's a lot of this type fishing with nets and such

dude... let the minnows go....if your that hungry for one more little fish stick ill send you a dollar.
There's always one of you guys that fish but don't eat fish🤣
Good mess they will go to running better soon.
These cooler fronts already got them moving a little better I think
Ain't nothing wrong with that! A good mess to stink up the house!
Lol, I fry my fish outside 🤣
my paw in law runs them boxes i run wire traps he always does better with straight cheese in them boxes
Your exactly correct. Straight cheese is best in boxes. We mostly use wire nets now, just because their lighter
