- Henry Cavill had only 43 lines of dialogue in all of the movie - 42 if you don’t count his scream at the end! For a star with top billing, that's shockingly little dialogue. In fact, the most he spoke was at the Lex Luthor party scene, but even then, it was a mere 5 lines dialogue. In all, only about six of Cavill’s lines were more than two sentences long and there were a surprising number of scenes where Superman is present but didn’t say a word. Interestingly, another important character in the movie - Wonder Woman, also had just 34 dialogues.

@@brylinx1451 no, I am the real sam profile picture
@@tobishinobi5402 why is everyone so against the word but?
@@bananapancakes7296 because he’s trying to do the thing where you end the video off in a sentence that ties the first sentence of the video together to create a loop. It’s a thing that other creators do but this guy just adds a “but”, which is the most lazy attempt at a loop I’ve ever seen. And he’s done that almost every video.

That's because the theatrical cut, had a lot of Superman scenes removed.
The Ultimate Edition has an entire subplot with Superman/Clark with a lot of dialogue and a better explanation of his anger towards Bruce.

Watched the ultimate cut, made me realize how cutting a few scenes can ruin the entire movie and Superman’s character development. The added scenes made the movie more cohesive and made me enjoy it.
Well goes on to show Henry Cavill's acting prowess.
it was a batman movie, so it's his movie, so he gets the dialogue

That movie's a train wreck. The Snyderverse is a blight on DC.
Also, a lot of people want to restore the Snyder verse. But Snyder kind of already told us what the plot was going to be, so none of the twists (Lois dying, evil supes, traveling back in time) would be unexpected.
No It isn't.
It's quite literally the only thing that could make DC movies relevant again.
@@manoeleduardoaraujofilho782 I mean, they could also just try to make them... good. Joker was considered relevant because it was interesting, even though it wasn't part of a universe.

Kinda funny how in all of these “versus” movies. In the end, they both team up to fight a bigger conflict😂
Did you know that in Batman v Superman they had only 28 fans that enjoyed the movie.
And only 6 of them were sober.
and yet its the highest grossing superman movie of all time
This says alot as to why this movie was so bad you can't have one of ur main characters who's name is literally in the title an then have that same character have little to no presence on screen what so ever
It's like saying goes Action speaks louder than words.
Did you know: visual media is visual story telling.
Clark is an introverted person, and in BvS he was going through a bad time. Of course he is not gonna want to talk much. It's realistic.
Weak excuse for a bad movie
@@thundereagle97 nah, Marvel fanboy 😂thro love and thunder is bad as fck, that head cgi shit😂

Tho, I wanna know if this is accurate for the Ultimate Edition. Because that's the original cut of the movie.
Henry thought he was playing Black Bolt.
Superman is a telltale example of "Don't speak, *ACT."*
Superman mainly speaks through his facial expressions throughout the movie. How he questions his own purpose and if what he does is right. His confusion and his pain. Very good acting imo
“Only about six of Cavill’s lines were more than two sentences long.”
Okay, now I need an explanation of the difference between a line and a sentence because I’m pretty sure they’re the same thing but idk maybe I’m wrong.
42 lines with 2 sentences average makes 84 sentences spoken. Enough for me, especially for superman. everyone already knew his story. And
This only prove that a movie doesn't need that much of dialogue if it's masterpiece

I think it speaks to how well Henry can portray to the audience without having to speak by using his body language. A 1000 words can be said with even the most subtle movements
He didn't portray shit. He looked constipated most of the time. And grumpy. But that doesn't portray anything except that he's angry, which doesn't say shit. Just like him. And the godawful writers that don't know fuck shit about superman for the last 30 years or so
@@nobodycares4321 the only reason I agree with you is because you're right about the comic writters part but just like others this is also a different version of superman which actually made sense seeing the journey of Clark and the things he faced through out, it would make sense about his nature but everyone knows after ZSJL we are going to get our classic hopeful and optimistic version of superman.
@@markusphenix8343 Uh... gonna disagree with you there. I mean yeah it is a different superman. But it still doesn't make any goddamn sense. That tornado scene where his dad basically killed himself was the absolute most retarded thing I've seen in cinema period. It didn't make sense. The only way that superman would make sense is if he was raised by child abusers. Which is also frustratingly stupid. Nobody wants superman to be Batman. They're too completely different characters and they work well together as foils, why would you want to turn one into a cheaper copy of the other? Only a 12 year old edgelord would want that. Shit they made fucking Shazam more like Superman, and they still fucked up Billy Batson

Snyder has always been about telling the story through visuals rather than dialogue. He nailed the hope the Superman instills in people so I don’t really care if he ranted off one liners or not.

The biggest set up for disappointment smh 🤦🏽♂️. They got rid of their Batman and Superman. They might as well had just not cast them in the first place.
They really made him a godlike figure when he’s been raised as a human.

Superman in the comics and animations has a personality
Henry Cavils portrayals doesn't he they made him seem really angry for some reason
Dudes reserved as hell, I've seen him get angry exactly twice. When zod attacked his mom, and when lex threw lois off a building
One who have the power of presence then he don't have to say anything...🐐
Action speaks louder than a word
About the Wonder Woman thing, Superman is a title character in the movie yet had less lines that a character we didn't even know was appearing. She didn't even suit up until the very end.
Every side character in a primary school play
He needs to stay invisible to protect his secret identity. He learned to only speak when necessary
You don't need dialogue all the time. Sometimes, you need presence. Like HENRY CAVILL. SUPERMAN!!!!
Superman is holding back to everyone. he's afraid that he could hurt people by his breath
His presence is speaking enough
this is the moment where superman became introvert
They had to make room for all those cameos and other plots
He (Superman) has a lot to hide when his disguise is just a pair of glasses and changed hairstyle as Clark Kent. 😂

That's how special Henry as an actor. He nailed it even more as Superman. If you see the Witcher series there he also talk less and most when it's important to. Hear me out DC need this guy back as Superman
My boi looks good in the suit
The sad thing is Henry Cavill was so excited to play superman and then look what they did to the character
"My work talk for me"

With faces like they have you don’t have to say a word.
Actions speak louder than words
When Superman is an introvert:
Looks like he was getting ready for his role as the witcher
I think superman should only be seen in camera phone footage during fights to make him even more mysterious
That’s OK, he doesn’t have to talk at all. Just his appearance says it all.😂❤❤❤❤
They understood that their DC fans couldn't handle a lot of words
Say no more than you have to. That's how Steve McQueen did it.
The quiet ones are always the most dangerous

Oh trust me..everyone noticed. It was one the major complaints ppl had
Yeah they did him dirty....
Writers and film makers pull this and then wonder why people think Superman is boring.
"Supergar Mantagan"
That made me think, no wonder I didn't like superman in the DCU. In any of the animated movies you watch, he constantly talks and try to help people. In almost all of the live action movies, he tries to say the least and look "cool".
It's cause they wanted him to look more godlike where his presence is enough for us to admire but it didn't do good . That was wrong on Zack snyders part but if he had more dialog and more emotion to his character this would of been the best superman.
Another fun time fact, Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice was only on screen for 15 minutes total. His own movie
He is soooo fine
And here in MCU every character just blabber anything that comes into their mind😂😂😂
Henry Cavill is just the best Superman ever. I wish him much success with other roles projects and films. He's my Superman forever 💎💙🙏
