    Getting around by bike always saved a lot of money over the whole month when I was living there. Plus the biking in the city is even better now!

      Yes! There are so many more bike lanes, and overall more bikers in general which makes it feel very safe :) It's so fun, too

    Great to see the reality of prices in New York. Food is cheap here in Ireland. Coffee takeouts in the city are on par with NYC. Rents in Dublin are very on par with NYC now. They have jumped massively the last 3 years.

    Are NYC studio rentals typically available 24/7 or just during business hours?

    • @melcabeyvlogs
      @melcabeyvlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A little longer than business hours, usually between 8am-8pm!

      Where do you find rentals?

    • @melcabeyvlogs
      @melcabeyvlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LaurenLaass I usually go to one of the three main audition studios - Open Jar, Pearl Studios (it's called NextGen now I believe) and Ripley Grier. 9/10 times I do Ripley Grier because they also have multiple locations to choose from. When you call the morning of to book space at any of these studios, you get a discount!

    This struggle is so real, it’s insane. You really didn’t even do or spend that much. I’m thinking of buying in Florida and making one room to dance virtually.

      Broadway Dance Center and STEPS have open drop in classes everyday 😊😊 you can read the description of the class/sometimes watch videos of the teacher’s style and then sign up!!

    If you were in the actors’ Union would you earn more and get health bennies? How do you earn money when you aren’t booked into a show?

    Oh my goodness. I can't imagine what I've spent over the past week in Germany between competitions, auditioning, transport and socialising 😬. At least you got a cool Harry Potter Cup... 😂 that price was insane.

      It’s SO steep here. And, this was a happy hour discount price, too 😭

    Your food costs are much like ours here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
