Stand up requires hours and hours of sitting down and writing trying to come up with a good set, then trying it out live and changing what doesn't work. If your set is good enough and you get good recognition, you may record a stand up special and air it on Netflix. All this requires a good skill that you are born with, not necessarily saying you can't achieve it but you have to be born with some kind of special talent to really be able to be a comic without bombing.
