Tried Airgpu and I gotta say it was excellent. However a unacceptable downside is that it takes like forever for the service to start up
I use Xbox cloud gaming . I’ve tried most of these services and for me xcloud worked best . It runs very well on iOS for me rather than android. PlayStation plus kept crashing for me on my laptop. Boosteroid was awfull . GeForce now lacks games and it isnt very user friendly . Sometimes crashes when connecting through steam , although it has improved . That’s my take . Currently using xcloud on iPad and a switch as well

I’ve been testing cloud gaming it’s not bad I may just sell my series S and use cloud gaming
For me it would be geforce now only if the wait time wasnt 4 hours per game
Why would it run better on iOS then android it supports both haven’t tested on my phones but been playin cloud on my Samsung tv and windows but I find it’s better on my Tv then windows I don’t know why . Like the quality is better on tv on pc if I m playing halo you can see the picture quality trying to get better like a TH-cam video .
I honestly don't think cloud gaming is in a position where it can/should be viewed as your one and only source of gaming or like a cable subscription vs being viewed as an accessory to your less mobile gaming experiences. Because of this I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to say that GeForce Now has the same model as Stadia and other services like it. The only comparable thing is you have to purchase the game before playing but that was not the main issue with Stadia in the first place. The major issue was game ownership which a service like GeforceNow alleviates by just being a stream of a well speced PC with access to your existing libraries vs being a store itself. It has the "purchase the things you want to play first" part of the stadia model with the "play the games you could play at home on your own system" type of convenience that Xbox and PS5's models have which is the key difference.
To each their own but imo, arguing it's too expensive, limited in its potential userbase who'd find it useful or that there aren't enough games on it (which I think is becoming less of a factor. Especially within the last year) is totally fair but to compare its model to Stadia is a bit much lol.
The thing about geforce now you have to change the resolition yourself

Fairly certain this was before the XGP games were added to GFN but I’ve recently put in close too 100 hours over the holidays playing Starfield and the 2 Forzas. GeForce Now helps me not have to upgrade my PC and for anything else I have my PS5. GFN Ultimate is the best kept secret in gaming imo. Games like Cyberpunk and Alan Wake look astonishingly good. I wanted to check this out to see what other services are offering but seems like I’ve already picked correctly. Also I have XGP Ultimate and Cloud Gaming is horrendous in comparison. I wish Xbox actually charged us for a proper service

Thanks for this video! I like that you are hyper critical of cloud gaming and highlight its flaws without sugar coating it. As someone who plays mostly on a MacBook or PC laptop I think it's GFN as the winner as far as technology at least. They just need the games. But games are coming soon with PC Game Pass. I've also just subscribed to PS Plus Premium on your recommendation. And that's going to be getting PS5 games soon so I'm really happy and looking forward to that. I don't think it deserves the top spot though considering how few devices it is available on. I also disagree with your assessment of GFN's free tier. I found it to be an excellent demonstration of the technology that allows potential buyers to give it a try. Nonetheless I respect your viewpoint.

I used the GFN free tier yesterday. I was playing on a paid account and my son wanted to join me via online multiplayer. He was 4th in the queue and had to wait 1 minute, then had a quick 45 minute session with me. The performance on the free tier session was actually great, although I know few gamers are happy to play for only an hour before being asked to set things up again.
You guys are doing well, I haven't been able to get a single minute of game time on free this year. 2 hours and 87 people in the queue in front of me.... For Assassin's Creed Unity... Has been my normal on it in 2023

hi just wondering if you knew best cloud gaming platform for PC games on a chromebook? i got linux enabled on it but its terrible of course. when i ask people they just say there are cloud gaming options, but ive tried xbox game pass but it doesnt work like a cloud gaming platform where i can play any game regardless of my os. thanks

Thanks for the video. Do you need a Playstation to use PS Plus Premium? I'm still on GFN Ultimate because I got addicted to the visuals and am finding it hard to accept anything less. But £180 a year is quite steep. Wish I could try out my favourite games on a PS5 to see how good they look.
Premium can be accessed through windows, right now there aren't PS5 games on the service but the day I released this they mentioned they were testing PS5 game streaming and it will be for games you have purchased too. Possibly worth a seven day free trial to see if it'd actually suit you

Personally I think GeForce Now Is the best out of all of these cloud gaming services, the main downside being the catalog of games. I've used xcloud and the 1080p 60fps throws me off a lot, on GeForce now I'm able to get 1440p 120fps which really makes the experience smoother and nicer to play overall when comparing it to most other cloud gaming services.
There are positives to many options, especially the top 3, glad to see that GFN is suiting you down to the ground

My pc broke down recently and took shadow just yesterday for work and gaming. So hard looking forward to it. And with the combination work and gaming the cost is quite acceptable.
In a scenario such as that, to get back up and running it makes perfect sense. My eyes water thinking about long term cost though
Does the playstation plus have keyboard and mouse support or you can play only with a controller?
It seems to be a game by game basis, (Been looking into it for a while for you) so if the game supports K+M on the PlayStation itself then it will wia this, but the majority need to be with a PlayStation controller
Now that geforce now runs xbox pc game pass you can say that xcloud should be 3 and geforce now should be 2. The priority tier can run the xbox pc games and stream it at better quality than the xcloud stream. And pc game pass is only 10 dollars a month. Xcloud requires ultimate which is 17 a month. For $20.00 a month you would be getting a better experience but if you get ultimate your playing the pc games with quality superior to the local series x console.
Yeah, but the game had to be on Geforce now to actually enjoy the gamepass. Hope Geforce now increase their catalogue better and better in the future, it provides a smoother and better experience than many cloud gamingservices for me

Hard disagree with the outcome of this, ps plus premium is limited to pc and console where Xbox cloud gaming has far less performance issues and is able to be played on mobile.

Geforce Now is still abysmal, but I think Nvidia has the most potential to perfect the Cloud Gaming industry so far.

You could say the same thing when Onlive is around. I wouldn't say something super inferior to a basic thing like owning your device at home a future. Do you know why vr headset like Quest 2 is the most successful new tech? Because vr bring something new while opening higher possibilities than anything that came before it which is opposite to cloud gaming which is an ok service to try out demo
OMG! Why is Boosteriod the only one who has Fifa, Efootball and NBA 2k23?
It is a long and complicated issue, but primary among the reasons is EA's anti-cheat, usage via remote services such as Cloud will get you banned in these games and the providers don't want to put the money into their Cloud service to overcome that

Helldivers 2 isn't yet on a cloud platform I'm sorry to say. The only way would be via a cloud PC, so Shadow if you have the money

@@zainshaat6205 there are others but they come with massive caveats or challenges, like 75GB total storage or pay as you go pricing. Shadow, while pricey, offers the best all round experience and definitely performs well in games, something the others are very hit and miss with.

Nope, as mentioned in the video it also works on windows offering a wide variety of devices including surface tablets and things like the ROG Ally.

Unfortunately it's going up on everything. Xbox Cloud and Shadow have both increased in the short time since this video went up. A sad state we live in at the moment

I used Boosteroid for a while, played Fifa 23 (with Xbox ultimate that gives access to Ea Play) and works really good with 30mps connection (i live in Italy )

Not if they don't work mate. As I said, this is based on both my experience and community sentiment. Had it just been my thoughts GFN and Xbox would be down with Boosteroid. That's the biggest issue with cloud gaming, there is no parity person to person. You need to understand that lest you look like a 🤡
@@Doragon86 GFN had the greatest experience with streaming quality imo. The only problem is the lack of good games which seems to be increasing more and more now with the game pass coming on Geforce now and Xbox signing the 10 year deal(I can see other companies coming in for the deal if cloud gaming gets more popular). You should take the price to performance ratio too

Most consoles already handle games PERFECTLY.
Im on a shitty PC and need good fps for Fortnite, but even GeForce feels SUPER sluggish with twice the FPS I usually get, which is a shame.
Console does feel slower because it has aim assist to compensate.
