      It is formulated for use with Kerapoxy Design, however, would likely be fine with any other epoxy grout also. Tile Mountain

    Will any glitter work in the grout or is there specific glitter I need to use for the shower floor tile?

      We could only recommend using the Mapeglitter from Mapei with the Kerapoxy Design Grout. Tile Mountain

    how do you clean it and retouch

    • @TileMountain1
      @TileMountain1  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Bella - thanks for your question.
      For day to day cleaning we'd recommend using a mid-strength cleaning solution such as Fila Stone Tile Cleaner: www.tilemountain.co.uk/p/fila-tile-stone-cleaner.html.
      As Mapei Epoxy Glitter Grout is a resin-based grout, it won't discolour, so no abrasive cleaning product is required (it's really good stuff and will save you a lot of elbow grease!).
      If you want to spruce up and retouch however, you should use the exact same method as Craig demonstrates, ensuring that you keep the ratio of grout to glitter the same.
      Hope this helps!

    I'm actually curious, can you caulk grout?

    • @TileMountain1
      @TileMountain1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Riacharda - thanks for you comment.
      In answer to your question - you shouldn't use caulk as an alternative to grout (especially in areas that are subjected to direct water regularly) as caulk can shrink and dry out over time, leaving your joints susceptible to water ingress.
      Caulk should primarily be used to create a seal between two different types of material where movement occurs.
      Hope this helps!

      Oh no sorry. What i meant to say is, could grout be filled in a caulk gun then applied to get in hard to reach areas?

    • @TileMountain1
      @TileMountain1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We wouldn't recommend that - the grout must be pressed into the joints quite firmly with a grout float, otherwise you would get gaps and air pockets and this would make your grout joint structurally weak and it would likely become flaky/disintegrate in time.

      Hi RAHUL Rao,
      Mapei (the manufacturers of the Kerapoxy Design epoxy grout) do not recommend using 'normal' glitter in their products as this could compromise the structural integrity of the grout joints and prevent the grout from setting properly.
      Hope this helps.
