I love how easy carnivore is. I have an almost empty pantry now and so much more room in my fridge and freezer! No more wasting money on produce I have to toss because it’s gone bad. Meals are so much easier to plan and to prepare. Leftovers never go to waste now. Love love love how much money and time I save eating carnivore.

As a thought. I bone out my chicken legs and thighs and save bones in ziploc in freezer. Then I make chicken bone broth in crockpot when I have enough to do so. I season and cook my chicken in oven and by boning out, it cooks more evenly. For larger pieces I'll cut in thirds. I use a greased cookie sheet, rubbing with tallow, lard or coconut oil. A lot of good seasoned fat and gel left over that I scrape to later add to boned chicken broth, but is tasty eating as is.. I recently started taking the skin off the chicken and cooking by itself in oven on different tray with the chicken itself. Cooking the chicken in oven without the skin adding the seasoning sometimes coating with a fat is just as good as with the skin on. But always helps to have a instant read thermometer to make sure all chicken is not over cooked and to dry. Taking out while still juicy, but cooked inside. And those chicken skins are crazy good too.

  • @fammue
    @fammue 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I usually buy whole chicken, and by carving it, I get three meals out of it (we have side dishes with it). So from a ~2,7 kg chicken you'll get around 1× breast (600g) 1x legs, wings etc (everything that's not breast, 6 pieces=2x wings,2x drumsticks,2x upper part of legs), and 1x bones and a bit meat to cook a little broth (if you have the option also take one with feet and intestines for the broth, the feet have a lot of collagen and intestines are very nutritious). :-)
Sardines are also quite inexpensive, not as full with heavy metals as other fish like tuna and have the omegas and vitamin E. Just make sure you but the ones in water, not in oil cause you wanna avoid all bad amd low quality oils.

This was very helpful for me! I used a relaxed version of keto to reverse type 2 diabetes. I struggle with making the commitment to any lifestyle change because of all the temptations around me. Consider taking the carnivore plunge! Do a 90 day bacon, butter, beef and egg experiment. Tell yourself it’s only 90 days but stick to it.
Chances are you will feel so great you will break those temptations and old habits. Snack on bacon, snack on burgers soon 90 days soon YOU CAN OVERCOME YOUR CARB ADDICTION.
I was a bread addict. It worked surprisingly well for me. My goal was to lower fasting insulin, my side effect was 40 pounds disappeared and I don’t crave bread or carbs anymore. After 2 years of maintaining the weight loss and enjoying my healthier body, my experiment to eat a homemade scone taught me I AM WHEAT INTOLERANT, who knew? I thought I was a night owl but the wheat kept me up with nocturnal anxiety! I suffered 3 nights from one scone. My addiction is gone.

If you feel tempted to eat an “incorrect” or “cheat” food….I am of the opinion that you did not eat ENOUGH EGGS🥚🥚🥚for breakfast and that you are hungry‼Remember because you are not eating toast +OJ+ jams etc with eggs for breakfast…you do not realize that TWO🥚🥚eggs do not provide enough protein to constitute a full meal‼You must increase your eggs…to about four. Due to the fact ONE EGG🥚provides only 7 grams of protein…therefore, two eggs🥚🥚🟰14 grams…which is not sufficient to be a long lasting satisfying breakfast🥓🍗🍳‼
A meal, one meal should provide about 30 grams of protein‼HAPPY EATING‼🥚‼

Thank you for sharing. I find that people use costs as excuses. My partner is semi-carnivore 😉, and the reason our grocery bill is higher is b/c of the “extras” that we purchase. He works out pretty heavily and feels the need to add a small bit of carbs in his diet. He looks fantastic, so if it works for him that’s fine. Tonight we are eating flanken ribs that cost $9.75 (not on sale) and we’ll split that.

I’ve been getting a giant chuck roll (35lbs) for $4.69lb and cutting it into roasts and steaks. I sous vide the roasts for 30’hours at 131 and the steaks for 3 hours at 131. They come out so tender and medium rare. A quick sear and they are fantastic. I like to slice the roasts with my meat slicer on the thinnest setting then I can grab a quick snack or fry some up with my eggs.

The NuWave Oven for a meal for one, two or three people is so far better than an air fryer IMHO. I put my fresh or forzen meat, chicken, fish whatever on a regular dinner plate and set the timer according to whether fresh or frozen and press start. Beeper goes off when finished. That's it. Clean up is wash the one dinner plate and whatever plates you use to eat off of.

I agree that eating Carnivore is not as expensive as people think, and there's lots of waste with produce, but I can't buy anything as cheaply as Laura does. I shopped today and only bought sale items.... cheapest eggs are $3.99/dozen, 8oz bag of store brand shredded cheese $7.99, large bag bacon crumbles $14.99, butter $6.49/lb, top Sirloin $9.99/lb, chicken legs $5.00/lb. I wish I could shop at her prices.

Thanks for your video I’m new to the carnivore food plan . I live in the UK and the price of food is extortionate and we don’t get the discount coupons that you get in the USA I wish that we did . We do have Costco but the price of meat and fish is very expensive compared to the USA , but I’m very lucky that I can afford to be on a carnivore diet but there are many people in the UK especially with families struggling to feed themselves and their children and have to resort to food banks I’m glad that the USA have a better standard of life .

Have the same airfryer but the next one up with the temp probe. Could live without the probe tbh but is convenient. Love the Ninja Airfryer! Gets used at least once per day and quick and easy to clean. WAY easier than the shelf type. We are paranoid about the non stick and damage and in 8 months of using is all good so far. Have noticed the top lip and bottom(outside) wearing from sliding in and out friction but that is it.
    Great video Laura.
Way more $'s are saved going carnivor let alone the health impact. If only I could convince the rest of the family😔

I've been eating carnivore for two and a half years. Sure, "meat is expensive" I heard. I started out eating much of what I already had stocked up in the freezer, but settled on staples of high-fat ground beef (it's cheaper, and more filling), bacon, eggs from free-range chickens (the ones with the orange yolks with all the vitamins, my sister raises chickens for eggs), and butter.
My sister is a taxidermist so I will occasionally get venison. My freezer is half full now.
The nice thing about carnivore is that you can eat all you want, but that's not usually an awful lot. And I only eat once or twice a day.
Sometimes I'll have bacon strips wrapped in Swiis chees slices as a snack. Occasionally that'll even suffice for supper.
I have added "keto coffee" (black coffee with two tablespoons of butter and coconut oil) every morning, but I'm beginning to rethink that. Often that alone will be enough for the day.

If you "hash mark" cut your steak, i promise it won't be tough no matter how cheap it was, plus salt it heavily... leave it in the fridge 1 hour. Rinse and THEN cook.
