Thanks for this great round-up! I grew up in the 50s. The only thing we had in our refrigerator was milk. If we went out for breakfast we could have a glass of milk or orange juice, but it was fresh squeezed and it was a very small glass, like 6 or 8 oz. If we were thirsty we drank water. There were never soft drinks in the house. My parents drank coffee but kids weren't allowed to have it. I never liked it anyway. There are too many choices now and that is part of the problem. Too much marketing telling us we deserve a break today.
@@Lovepeacejoy.. and I remember those tiny glasses having only fresh squeezed orange juice in them. Everyone had one of those orange juice squishers in the kitchen. I’m from NewYork and those oranges had to be expensive and difficult to get ( unless a relative brought them back on the train from their Miami getaway). The American food industry is due for an unpleasant reconing. Soon.
@@pennylacombe4763 Yes, I remember my mother freshly squeezing the orange juice. We only had soda on holidays or dinner with relatives on Sunday. Food was so much better then and there was not that much obesity. Everyone walked everywhere, kids were able to play outside without worrying about being kidnapped and everyone got lots of exercise…..
If tea or coffee is too bitter add a pinch of salt..it's mind blowing how well this works.. I did this to ween off of sweetener and heavy cream in my coffee.
That's weird! The FDA, CDC and various other agencies and private organizations have found NO convulsion seizures caused in humans, other primates, or rodents from consuming aspartame. Is she allergic or something? Or was it psychological? Or something else like a non related B6 deficiency?
YES!!!! My mom and dad drink dr pepper zero and diet Pepsi EVERYDAY. I spent years trying to get my mom to quit because of the aspartame, and she just won't listen. I eventually gave up because I was just talking to the air lol. FINALLY someone else who understands this.
@@soxpeewee The FDA and CDC (and especially the USDA) cannot be trusted to tell the truth in regards to food health/safety. Part of the problem with food in america is that organizations, scientists, and even doctors have been bribed by large companies to pass things off as safe. We've been told for decades that salt, fats, and cholesterol are all dangerous and to be avoided, that we should maximize our grain intake and all kinds of wacko things and the result has been several generations of overweight people with several chronic health problems especially digestion heart and brain healths. If you want to cite specific studies and whatnot, then go for it, but just relying on the word of government agencies isn't really a good argument for whether or not something is something safe at this point.
@@soxpeewee, do you actually trust those organizations? My opinion is if they say do it, that means for me don't!! Don't trust them for anything. You can research the problems with aspartame, plenty of reasons to avoid.
@@bowwow7505 Carnivore is more of a healing diet for bloating, IBS, brain fog, mental issues like bipolar and depression, skin issues etc and disease prevention like Alzheimer’s dementia, diabetes, heart, disease, cancer, etc. It’s a diet for everyone! If you don’t wanna lose any more weight, just eat more protein and fat. You can include veggies if they don’t make you bloat. I don’t do well on veggies.
Yup! If you eliminate all those drinks and just keep water and electrolytes you can afford WAY more meat. The coconut water is almost the same price as a dozen eggs 😅.
You missed one. There was a Coach of a high school football team that gave his team a cup of pickle juice before a game and they played with much more energy and won almost all the games. Another thing is when you get cramps on your leg or calf and drink pickle juice in a matter of minutes it goes away. It's helped me a lot.
I lost 6 stone on keto diet a few years ago. I relied heavily on Diet Coke to help me. Had no impact on weight loss. However better without it. Now on carnivore diet. Feel like I’ve been reborn. Thanks for your videos. Regards
I'm 65 years old and have spent the last 45 years trying various diets and workout programs to shed weight and improve my fitness. Three months ago, I stumbled upon Dr. DeBerry's TH-cam video discussing the Carnivore diet and decided to follow his advice. For the past two months, I've been fully committed to the Carnivore lifestyle, although I do enjoy drinking 12oz to 14oz of red wine on most days of the week. I've completely eliminated fruits, vegetables, fast food, junk food, and processed items from my diet, opting for a Carnivore approach focused on reclaiming my health, not just shedding pounds. I rarely weigh myself, but when I do monthly check-ins, I'm pleased to report a significant loss. Currently, I stand at 5ft 10 inches and weigh 198 lbs, down from 216 lbs two months ago-equivalent to an impressive 18 lbs lost, averaging 9 lbs per month. For me, transitioning away from traditional foods prior to Carnivore felt akin to attempting to quit smoking while relying solely on a nicotine patch. The Carnivore diet has truly transformed my health and well-being."
I was wondering if I could continue having my bedtime 🍷. It helps me sleep better than any thing else I have tried. Bad thing is I only like sweet wine.what do you drink? Does it stop the effects of carnivore.
Thanks this was helpful! My sister and I have been carnivore since March 2022…she’s lost over 70 pounds and I’m down about 20! We drink water with added electrolytes, coffee with a little heavy cream and a couple stevia drops, and Pellegrino. I occasionally have a Lacroix to mix things up.
@@59skupe There are a lot more Kombucha and pro-biotic drinks out there. I look for ones with 5 grams of carbs or less. Then I drink half the can half diluted with sparkling water. I still get some flavor but only 2.5 grams of carbs. I feel ok with it. I drink coffee and cream at breakfast, regular water or unsweetened sun tea during the day. A sparkling water with diluted kombucha or electrolytes for a pick me up if I need it and a sparkling water with dinner. More plain water afterwards. So I think if you are a moderator like me you can mix it up and do different things. Just be mindful of the carbs and the frequency. Oh and I forgot to mention long brewed rooiboos tea has no sugar, no caffeine. I add stevia leaves from my garden a cinnamon stick and a clove. I let it brew overnight and it has a sweet taste that is mild but enjoyable. I'll switch out caffeinated tea for this tea if caffeine is affecting my sleep. Long brewing stevia leaves tastes much better than processed stevia. Less bitter.
Can confirm I was in the beverage industry in manufacturing and QA for 16 years. We would also raise or decrease the sugar depending on the market region. Some places prefer less, some prefer more!
oo man for the ones that loves bubbly drinks: club soda lemon or lime juice salt homemade sprite tastes amazing and you get a punch of vitamin C when you use fresh lemon
Brew 2-3 Tblspoons Thyme in 16oz boiling water. Add 16oz cold to cool it off. Also try Rosemary and Savory. Pretty good. Today I blended 2 tbls of all three. Then brewed for 10 minutes.
Well good for you! I have been drinking at least fifteen diet cokes a day for decades now. Actually at one point i was dri9nking 35 12oz. drinks every day so i have reduced them, but i am going to have a hard time stopping. Even worse than foods.
@dlmullins9054 I hear you. I love Pepsi Zero and Rockstars. I gag when drinking plain water and don't know why? I swear that they've made sodas more addictive because I've stopped before completely but for some reason it is so hard right now.
@@aMuenchGrinch try brewing iced tea and using an artificial sweetener just to ween yourself off of the other stuff. Then eventually you might be able to drink some water?
One of the biggest reasons I have been putting off trying carnivore is alcohol. I don't drink very often (few times a month--or maybe every other month) but I like doing it enough thta I don't yet want to commit to getting rid of it completely. So glad it's still an option!
Vodka and soda water? Same as above I like to socialise and that is holding me back from going carnivore Currently doing as much research as possible 👍🏼💪🏼@duanecrowley9820
My personal tip: Don't "eyeball" how much heavy cream you are adding to your coffee. When I first started I did just that. After about a year I finally measured how much my eyeball amount was and it was about 4 Tbsp!!! I've since cut that down to 2 Tbsp and I have learned to love that amount now. I'm thinking I may work to get that down to 1 Tbsp. Even if it's only for having to buy less heavy cream each time I shop.
I'm the same way. Now I add my 2 tbsp first, then I add my coffee to that. So that determines how much coffee I can drink based on the color tbsp makes lol
I just want to thank you for ALL your videos. I have learned so much! From cooking meat, the cuts, how to eat out, what to drink, etc. i have done keto and Somersize and low carb prior. I never drank enough electrolytes and would get dizzy and muscle cramps - plus autoimmune issue that I am working on. This time I need to heal. This is it. I cannot function on processed foods at all. Your informative videos really instills confidence in my journey and cooking abilities. Thank God for you Laura!! Thank you.
I seriously appreciate your videos! You get right to the point without me having to follow you on a trip to the grocery store or some errand that I don’t want to do even in real life. Thank you!
Over the last year I’ve gone from daily 4-6 cans of Diet Coke, to only having it a couple times a month in social situations. I do drink the Sparkling Ice a couple times a day though (with caffeine), along with black and green mint tea. My end goal is to only drink water and the tea. It’s a process for sure 😊
you know you're on your way, keep with it, every positive change is a good thing, it can be a process and that is better than getting overwhelmed and quitting
@@JoeyDNetsfanin the shop serving there aren’t enough carbs to kick you out of ketosis but it should definitely be kept to a minimum like she said she gets it on the side
high quality tea and high quality coffee are big things for me and so I kept both of them. Of course I wasn't adding sugars (or fake dairy) before carnivore and nor am I now, but I really don't think I could have switched if it meant I had to give up my high end chinese oolong teas.
@@carolcole570 if you're looking for good tasting oolong make sure you're getting loose leaf (the tea subreddit has a lot of links to good tea stores), teabags are just a waste of money if your objective is quality and flavor.
I just had to cut out the black coffee. It was keeping my blood sugar high. It was driving me nuts for a while since I’ve been carnivore for about a year. That was the only non-meat item I had. I rarely use heavy cream, and have some cheese once a month or two, so that was the only culprit. Been off for 3 days and I’m seeing fasting sugars come down. Sharing for any other diabetics to keep in mind that they “might” react to black coffee too.
Have you tried Black Tea for an alternate, it has high caffeine.........one of the highest actually and it's easy to have hot or cold. I think most Lipton teas are black tea
Good to know! I've been trying out a few flavors of Bubly Bounce, which is the caffeinated version of their sparkling waters, and it's helped me greatly.
@@mrcharliewebb I do have some black tea. I’m limiting that as well, but tracking with a CGM my levels are lower. I also found when going for labs I would have to cut out coffee a few days before, or my triglycerides would come back high (160 vs 72).
Me too! You are the first person that I have heard say that about coffee too! I keep going back to it and then my foot starts sweating again….. it seemed silly to think that it was coffee ☕️. I tried different coffees, including instants, but only doing without it gave me any relief. So I remembered that last year I was getting higher blood sugars only after I ate ground beef from Safeway near me…. I suspected that they might be adding something, so I started buying it from another store in town And voila!, problem solved. Maybe something similar is happening with coffees? (I suspected soy being added to the meat because of the breakdown in supply). Thank you for mentioning the coffee. I don’t feel as crazy now.
I found that having a Sprite Zero helps me if I'm craving something sweet. It has potassium citrate and natural lemon lime flavors. The negative is that it has aspartame in it, but don't drink them very often.
I been on canivore for ten days and my favorite was half gallon of ice cream candy chips cupcakes I eat the whole box with canivore I went cold turkey so what helps me is when I brush my teeth i found enjoyment on it and using mouth wash sometimes I do it more then once but it satisfy my sweet tooth 😂😂😂😂😂
I love Pellegrino with fresh lime squeezed in it. Italy has very strict laws about their natural mineral waters so it’s purity is guaranteed. It has a high sulfur content which is very good amongst other minerals. It’s my nighttime cocktail with dinner.
Thank you Laura! You have answered a bunch of questions for me with this video. My wife and I started Carnivore 3 weeks ago and I'm amazed on much better I feel already.
Thanks so much for this Laura. The single largest input cost on branded drinks isn't ingredients, packaging or freight, it's the marketing cost to get people to pay up for the stuff. The worst are fake healthy things that scam people and loaded with sugars/sweeteners.
Drinking Raw milk has some incredible studies behind it for probiotics, hormone health, and several minerals. However there is Lactose and fat so in terms of weight loss you have to make sure you don’t over do it, similar to the Heavy Cream.
I put a tea spoon of Celtic sea salt in my water bottle its not as "salty" as you would think its actually a sweeter taste i was told it replaces pretty much all the minerals missed from missed vegetables also helps if you get constipated
What helped me was Zevia soda. No dyes, not artificial sweeteners (organic stevia leaf is what they use instead of sugar and it doesnt spike your blood sugar) and just carbonated water
Great video with a lot of good info. The hubs and I love to drink Bubbly water and I like the pina colada RELYTE by Redmonds which I blame Neisha Berry for getting me hooked on. I have tried the ReLyte strawberry lemonade which is pretty good too. Since starting keto two years ago my husband has lost 168lbs and I have lost 100lbs. I feel better and feel healthier in my 50s than I did in my 30s and 40s. I agree with you that some things I drink do tend to trigger my cravings so I just stay away from them. Every now and then I will have a diet Mountain Dew. I was getting caught in the trap of adding a lot of heavy cream to my coffee so now I only add one tbsp to a cup. Take care!
@@daisymaisy4877 hi Daisy Maisy, I only add about a tablespoon of heavy cream and stir really good. I drink my coffee pretty quickly and I have never had any issues with clumping. Have a good day. Thanks.
So glad Laura mentioned the coffee with HWC! I’m only 2 weeks in, and have needed that taste and the boost, but am careful to only have a single or max, double shot of espresso with HWC (being more careful of the amount now) and I put a few ice cubes in my Nutribullet with an additional cup of water and blend. The result is a creamy, fluffy iced coffee which makes me feel like I’ve had a huge treat, while at the same time allowing me to stay within my own Carnivore parameters. I’ve been watching Laura, Kelly Hogan, Dr. Berry & Neisha, and others for weeks to gain knowledge and help me stay on track. Thanks SO much Laura for all your great videos! We have our own Grass Fed Beef so that’s a plus, but your videos on how to order takeout are tremendous and I’ll keep those tucked away for going out. ❤️🕊☀️🧋
I have found that the further I have gone in my carnivore journey, the more I like (and my body craves) water. Thirteen weeks on this lifestyle and I’m down 36.2 pounds today.
I was watching a documentary about Roman legionaries and discovered they had an energy drink that they used when they couldn't get hold of weak beer or watered-down wine (their preferred drinks). This energy drink consisted of water mixed with a small amount of salt and vinegar. The modern equivalent would be a bottle of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a pinch of salt mixed in. It sounds gross, but it's actually amazingly refreshing after a workout.
@@katie7748 I tried the apple cider vinegar just recently but had to stop taking it, as it "severely agitated" my Rosachea, (irritable skin condition ) not sure of it's spelling. Needless to say, l stopped taking it. Anything acidic, such as Apple Cider Vinegar, tomatoes, oranges and lemons is a big no no for me. Also preventing sunburn (as best as l can) to my face will prevent my skin condition from being severely agitated.
Laura really understands nutrition. I have been watching Keto / Carnivore videos for 2 years now. I'm impressed that she busted heavy cream. I used to think it was a great substitute for a traditional malt / milkshake. But drinking a bottle of it is the equivalent of eating an entire stick of butter (or two). That is only helpful if you are occasionally using it as your day's entire calorie intake, once in awhile, to bring your insulin down to a new plateau. It can serve as an occasional "butter fast" which is actually a good thing. Laura is also teaching people to read ingredient labels for chemicals, not just the carb content. She talks about how milk is really only meant for baby cows, not humans. Then she mentions how while even the purest alcohol may not be a carbohydrate, it will cause your body to store any fat you have eaten while it first detoxes your body of the alcohol. Great & informative video!
Great content Laura I love your content here's a little tip for you and your viewers put lemon juice in your water and add some baking soda to your salt mixture then you'll get the bubbles that you'll have carbonated lemonade... sweetener is optional
Excellent video. I make Lipton green tea with jasmine and I drink that with my two meals. Water otherwise. Once or twice a month a diet pop when out to eat. You are so right about not wanting to ruin the diet with wanting sugar drinks again
I've been making my own keifer at home for calcium and probiotic benefits. I like that cultured milk loses over half it's sugar content thru the bacteria eating the sugar. When strained overnight thru a coffee filter it's very much like cream cheese.
What type of milk do you use? I can only dins pasteurized whole milk near me. It’s makes delicious, tangy kefir. I’m thinking about trying heavy cream :)
You are so right and spot on, the cow's milk is designed to raise 1,500 to 2,000 lb cows ultimately!! Also the proteins in cow's milk are much larger than that in goat's milk, and that's why I often babies and small children may have difficulty digesting it and may end up with diarrhea because the body cannot break down that kind and that size of protein; it just pushes out the other end, so this is very important even though it is an animal biproduct.
Thanks, you explained electrolytes better than anyone has. On low carb-carnivore diet for 4 weeks. Mostly energy has been excellent, but feeling tired the last few days. I will do electrolytes today. Thank you.
THANKFULLY i have been a huge fan of club soda/seltzer water for years, and drink a liter of it a day, along with regular still water. A squeeze or lemon or lime is all I add.

Interesting point about coffee - I actually had to go away from heavy cream so using MCT oil helped me not feel that coffee was so acidic. My new jam is 'It Works' skinny coffee with MCT oil and a little munk fruit sweatner.
I was addicted to coffee, soda, lemonade and hot chocolate. I cut all of them out completely (cold Turkey) and it’s been over a year. Only water and Pure Leaf Unsweet Tea just like the video. But sometimes, I cheat and drink Pure Leafs “Subtly Sweet” version with 5g of sugar and 5g carbs. Im a work in progress.
BTW, if you're interested in milk but dont like the sugars, I love Fairlife! It's more expensive, but the macros are great. Higher protein, fewer carbs, tastes great (their chocolate milk is so good it made me realize i like chocolate milk lol). I think it's lactose free (or at least there's a lactose free version, I can't remember). It's good stuff if you're interested in milk but don't like the extra carbs of regular milk or would like more protein. It's just a bit pricey. In our area, it's $0.60 cheaper at target/Walmart vs kroger just as a heads up. I don't recommend if you have a tight budget and a bunch of kids lolol
Be aware that regular heavy cream has additives like carrageenan, gums, and preservatives. The organic versions usually don't have those things or maybe just a gentler gum.
I appreciate this info. After reading this I ran to the refrigerator and checked the organic heavy cream I've been using.... GelIan Gum!!!! I would have never thought organic heavy cream would use gum thickeners!!! Ty!!!
Thank you for your video. My husband and I like to drink "Spindrift". It's the only carbonated sparkling water brand with a little bit of real juice & no natural or artificial flavors.
Appreciate this! Just got started learning about this way of eating after being consumed with vegan content and not understanding why it was so difficult to stick to. So happy to have stumbled upon this community in last week or so. Taking it one step at a time was drinking a lot of Crystal Light previously but do enjoy steeping Hibiscus flowers to make iced tea, had it today with no sweetener for first time and it was delicious all on its own.

I see I'm a year late to this video, but so glad I found it today. I've been researching carnivore for a few months. I'm so tired of feeling bloated, gassy, sore, and tired. I'm almost 40 and it's time for a change in lifestyle. I 100% committed to starting carnivore 2 days ago when I ordered almost $1,000 (63lbs) of grass fed organic beef, free range organic eggs and chicken, wild and sustainably caught cod, salmon and tuna from Alaska and Kettle and Fire brand Bone Broths. I have made several lists on good and bad foods, carnivore vs keto foods, macros and micros, carbs and calories, protein and sodium, vitamins, ect. I have never found a video on beverages!!! With that said, I fortunately love plain water and already drink it as 95% of my daily liquid intake. However I do have a CIRKUL water bottle and flavor cartridges for the once every few days I want some flavor. I may utilize these more when I start my new lifestyle of carnivore as the cartridges contain 0 cal, 0 fat, 0 carbs, 0 sugars, 0 protein, 55mg sodium, 40 mg potassium, 1.3 mg niacin, .14mg B⁶, .19mcg B¹², 30mg phosphorus, and 50mg chloride. In addition to adding salt and spices to my food and the bone broth, I'm hoping it will be enough to keep my electrolytes in check. This is something I need to research more that I hadn't really thought about until I saw this video, so thank you! I'm currently doing a 5 day diary pre carnivore, documenting what I eat and how I feel physically and mentally throughout the day. Will also do 2 days of water fasting with documentation before beginning carnivore. Anxious to see the subtle and not to subtle changes that take place over the next few months!
@NoraMetz online. A place called "Frankie's Free Range Meats". They're great! Everything came frozen in a Styrofoam cooler and dry ice. It's all vacuum sealed. Highly recommend. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for!
I really enjoyed this session on what you said about alcohol. The new low-carb or no-carb drinks are really pushing their products. I liked your explanation about how alcohol is metabolized and its effect on your liver. It resonated with me that I should not let alcohol interfere with my weight loss goals. Thank you for your vids.
It helps the person listening to know that the difference between the plain salt and the No-Salt is that regular salt is based on sodium chloride but the No-Salt is based on potassium, which is also better for people with high blood pressure because sodium can cause you to retain excess water & raise your blood pressure. Where potassium does not. And it tastes just as salty. Just so you know!
Would've loved to also see a note on dental health here! Constantly drinking something acidic can damage your teeth over time, and that includes bubbles. The CO2 in carbonated drinks can react to become carbonic acid. Citrus drinks or a lot of processed stuff can also be acidic. And so is coffee. Not that you shouldn't drink them ever, just that if all you're drinking is acidic/carbonated stuff it's a problem. It really is important to learn to like plain water if you can

I've been drinking those "ICE" carbonated waters since I started carnivore, but I haven't lost any weight. One Dr. on youtube replied and said that those waters still spike your insulin and stop you from burning fat.

I’ve lost about 38 lbs in 4 months on carnivore. I drink ice tea and diet coke every day. For the tea, I make sure to keep the sugar at 2 tablespoons (30g carb). I try to keep total carbs at less than 50g/day so that I stay in ketosis. The diet will have to go at some point because it’s just not good to keep putting that stuff into your body.
Thank you!! You have probably saved me an offensive amount of money on electrolyte drink powders. I didn’t know I could use a salt substitute for potassium! You are brilliant. I am so sick of putting cream of tartar in my water just to get my potassium, it just isn’t the nicest taste...

This is a great subject ! I'm low carb carnivore now and struggling to get rehydrated . I have a smart scale and it shows really low on water now . It is really hard to get that number back up !!! 🥴
I am 61. I have done Atkins and Keto since 1999. I have researched and tried just about every allegedly low carb beverage concoction under the sun and concluded that they ALL suck and ultimately sabotage your diet and your health. The human body is designed to operate off of pure water - period. Anything you add is purely because you are trying to covertly feed your sugar addiction. Best strategy: Buy a Zero Water filter system for your kitchen. Filter all of your water. It will taste better and it will rid it of estrogenic substances that keep you fat. Then buy a glass pitcher (not plastic) and keep your drinking water chilled in the refrigerator. Water tastes WAY better this way - filtered and chilled - and if you do it for 3 weeks it will become a habit and your pallet adjusts and you actually begin craving cold water and enjoying the lack of flavorings, believe it or not. The human body is designed to crave and want water. You are merely having to break your addiction to sweet flavorings in your beverages. The same goes for coffee. If you must have it, drink it black. No creamers and artificial sweeteners. Coffee is a sabotage vehicle for sneaking carbs back in and for continuing to crave and be addicted to sweet tasting things. Best benefit after losing weight and improving your health: All the MONEY you will save. Coffee and additives are EXPENSIVE. Use the savings to buy more 🥩 Ribeyes! 😃😃😃

Hi, found it on a European store near my job I bought two of them at the time, now it's a weekly thing for me. I mix it with honey and put a raw egg yolk to give to my daughter, it's yummy and nutritious .
The sugar industry is very greedy and doesn’t give a d**** about our health.
I forgot about the tiny juice glass from childhood! Everything is jumbo now…
@@Lovepeacejoy.. and I remember those tiny glasses having only fresh squeezed orange juice in them.
6 to 8oz of juice is a LOT of sugar. Those are not small glasses.
If tea or coffee is too bitter add a pinch of salt..it's mind blowing how well this works.. I did this to ween off of sweetener and heavy cream in my coffee.
I totally agree with you! I started it and weaned myself off creamer! ❤
Salt in every cup of coffee I drink. People think I'm weird
Same here!! My grandmother has done this since the 50s or 60s. She makes the best cafe con leche 😋.
Heavy cream is good for those on keto or carnivore. It will not add weight because your body is now burning fat - which heavy cream is.
@@tedrowleeves9182most people can handle heavy cream but some may be more sensitive to the dairy.
My mom had a seizure when she drank a lot of Crystal Light because of the Aspartame. Bad stuff that should be avoided!
I'm gonna have to call BS on this one because she would have to drink 100 crystal lights a day before aspartame was harmful to her.

Water and salt. I don’t worry about if it’s effecting my blood sugar or gut. I can spend more money on high cuts of meat.
That's where I fall most of the time too! Definitely prefer to spend my money on meat!
Yep. Ditto 👍
So glad i read this comment. I been getting those cramps. Thank you

Perfect
I personally would cut out the Stevia but.
I also drink a few sips of kombucha each day, since it's my favorite but it has a lot of carbs. So instead of having a whole one, I limit the amount.
That’s a good idea ,just a little!
FYI I worked at a well known milk producer and I can tell you first hand that ALL forms milk you buy in the stores are FULL of added sugar for flavor.
Wow, thanks for sharing this info

My personal tip: Don't "eyeball" how much heavy cream you are adding to your coffee. When I first started I did just that. After about a year I finally measured how much my eyeball amount was and it was about 4 Tbsp!!! I've since cut that down to 2 Tbsp and I have learned to love that amount now. I'm thinking I may work to get that down to 1 Tbsp. Even if it's only for having to buy less heavy cream each time I shop.
Yes!!! I don't do cream but I and the same way with sour cream. Eyeballing "2 tablespoons" is like 1/3rd cup 😂
@@LauraSpath LOL I am very familiar with that measuring conversion.
I do the same. Measure with a teaspoon.
I'm the same way. Now I add my 2 tbsp first, then I add my coffee to that. So that determines how much coffee I can drink based on the color tbsp makes lol
@LauraSpath I ordered the LMNT raspberry from the link you provided. Received the raspberry, but I got no free sample packets. 😢

Also preventing sunburn (as best as l can) to my face will prevent my skin condition from being severely agitated.
The reason for weak beer and watered down wines; was the contaminated water; the alcohol helped with the
bacteria and other nasty germs.

I would love to hear about your journey. I'm trying to transition to carnivore and having some challenges as my husband isn't fully on board.
Where did u order all of ur grass fed beef and organic products please ?? All from same place ?? Thank you 😊
@NoraMetz online.
Forgot to press record!! 💘love her already!!
It really is important to learn to like plain water if you can
Using a straw (I use glass one) may help and/or rinsing your mouth after drinking the acidic drinks.
I am just now starting the Carnivore diet. I am still hitting the Zero sodas because I am trying to get away from sugar as a whole. I dont drink it all the time, but I do like having it.
How are you doing with this life style ? I’m thinking of starting.
@@holycow92883 It worked out well for me in the beginning, I lost 30 pounds. I have moved off the carnivore diet for now due to my cholesterol going up to 284. I am looking at going back on but with fish and chicken with a little bit of beef and get rid of pork due to the amount of fat. I did feel much better when I was on it.
I changed to Zevia sugar free soda that is sweetened with Stevia. I didn’t see it in any products you showed but you did say yes to other products that contain Stevia. I mostly drink water.
I’m waiting to hear the verdict on ZEVIA too.
Still highly processed. She also didn’t even mention Sucralose in Gatorade zero.
I drink cola zero, and cut off coffee and tea. Though sometimes in bars the only option is cola or redbul. Zeros. Cola helped me with sugar rush in the beginning. Also I had issues with eating too much and still feel guilty for eating a lot of fat. But the more times pass the better I feel. Thank you for more options!!!
Watch Mark Hyman what he explains about zero drinks
@@borispetkau1246 No need they are fine.
Thanks for this video. Mio is not good, I had been putting it in my water and I was drinking a lot of water, however I ended up with a severe kidney infection and landed in hospital, then while in hospital got pneumonia. I have never been that sick I drink water, and make my electrolytes water and sometimes drink LMT. I put lemon or cucumbers in my water. I am going to pick up some true lemon and try in my electrolytes water. But this video was very informative. Thanks.
I wanted to let you know about a different option besides Mio. It is called Stur and it uses Stevia. You may already be aware. Also, I use sweet drops for my coffee (dirt).
I love mixing the Tazo Hibiscus passion tea as you have in the picture with Dr Bergs electrolytes and his wheat grass.
I've been drinking those "ICE" carbonated waters since I started carnivore, but I haven't lost any weight. One Dr. on youtube replied and said that those waters still spike your insulin and stop you from burning fat.
You might want to track your calories. Thats the key.
My very favorite thing to drink is LMNT mango Chile. It's so delicious and I love the saltiness.
The True Lemon brand has single serve drink mix packets (like Crystal Light), but they are sweetened with Stevia.
I love the unsweetened ones myself.
And they have carbs. Like 3 per packet!
The ones I use are the energy ones and they only less than 1 gram per packet.I don't like coffee so I drink one in the morning to get me going.
@@769jojo Mine say Total carbs 0%
I drink my coffee with a bit of butter, pinch of salt and sometimes heavy cream. Use a frother, delish.
Thank you Laura. That explains why I get stalled for a few days after drinking, although I was only drinking three shots of vodka only once per week. I'll have to stop until I get to my goal weight.
I've been blending an egg until it's frothy then putting it in my coffee. Absolutely delicious!!!
This is great, thank you!! I love fresh Meyer lemons in my water!!
I love your videos You and your husband are so motivating ❤🎉 I’m carnivore & dairy free with celiac and metabolic disease and getting better every day!! Lost 15 of the 35 lbs I need to loose . Your advice is priceless and I share your channel with everyone. I can Keep up the great job It’s a lot of work doing the videos but your helping millions Bless you
At night I enjoy a cup of hot chamomile tea with 1 Tb of ACV. It helps me relax and sleep better and it warms me up! I have also experimented and it is a very good drink iced as well :) Otherwise I just drink water or somedays with lunch I will have 1/2 cup of cold green or black unsweetened tea.
ACV?
Apple cider vinegar
Coffee beans are one of the most heavily sprayed with glyphosate!
Yes organic coffee slightly different one must be selective
You answered a BUNCH of questions I had! Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing this information. It is very beneficial and I appreciate you helping trying to maneuver through all the confusing information. Fran
Great video can you do sauces next 😁
Ooh good idea.
@@LauraSpath and herbs and spices please 🙏
Please do
I’ve lost about 38 lbs in 4 months on carnivore.
Hi! How much cream of tartar do you put in your water? My legs are getting crampy atm. I'm hoping this with salt will help get rid of it 🤞🏻
@@TheNaturalHealthBlogger imagine coming to the comments to *attempt* to shit on people trying to rid themselves of all the garbage food in their life. Congratulations, the only thing you accomplished in your long rant (which contains many claims that can be refuted, Paul Saladino would like a word…) was sounding like an ass. “Evidence based”….lol.
@@jchope777 maybe try magnesium w/potassium tablets. Worked really well for me for cramps and pm for sleep. Mine is Country Life magnesium potassium aspartate.
Ive done that before. Always look for that red dot indicating you are actually recording :) Thank you for looking at the lens and not the view finder on the camera so your eyes are actually looking at us and not off to the side.
Excellent presentation. This underscores the things I am doing right and is a motivator to keep on the straight and narrow. During winter when I need to warm up I'll have a cup of hot water with a little apple cider vinegar in it. No sweetner needed; I've acquired the taste for it and I believe it helps with digestion and decreased appetite. Thanks for this informative video! :-)
I like that too...my husband thinks I'm a weirdo 😂
What a great video. really nice to hear thoughts that echo most people and then explain why or why not. Fantastic work, thanks so much for both times :)
Thank you for specifically mentioning the True Lemon. I wasn't sure if I could use that or not and so happy that I can. It really helps me drink more water during the day, especially when I'm just drinking tap water.
I was a bit surprised that she mentioned true lemon or lime. There are 3 carbs in each packet so be really careful.
@@769jojo
One packet (0.8g) has
Ugh no tap water...get purified water
@@769jojo I drink our well water. Delicious.
Thank you for talking about how drinks can be a reward or treat!! I think a lot of people don’t look at them that way, but I always have. I appreciate a Diet Pepsi every once in a while as a treat. Thank you!
This is a great subject ! I'm low carb carnivore now and struggling to get rehydrated . I have a smart scale and it shows really low on water now . It is really hard to get that number back up !!! 🥴
I would not drink diet coke because of the aspartame, but I would drink the zevia that's sweetened with stevia.
I was with you unttil you said put in refrigerator
Our bodies have a core temp of 56°
Oh no wait
Its actually oughly 98-100°
Cold water shocks your system
Drink room temp
Taste is what got us here in the first place
Who cares if it doesnt taste like grape juice!! Your body needs room temp filtered water with electrolytes
i drink mostly water but have 2 or 3 cups of herbal tea a day - licorice, peppermint, chammomile
My Favorite Laura Words:
"It Will Be OKAY"😋👍~
Nice to NOT hear Carnivore
means only meat, salt, & water🥩:)
It’s nice to know that living longer doesn’t mean you have to eat bland food for the rest of your life.
Thank you!! Of all your videos that u have watched so far. I dislike this one the most. BECAUSE!!! It told me the truth about my alcohol drinking. I am the every evening tequila or Makers Mark drinker. Now i gotta stop. But that’s what i gotta do so…… here i go.
Old school truckers swear by pickle juice.
My Starbucks go to is the Passion Tango Iced Tea unsweetened with stevia and a splash of heavy cream! So good!
You should try ayran. It is basically plain white yogurt (please make sure that it is prepared with the right bacteria, or make it yourself) with salt and watered down. It is great when chilled, helps me a ton to stay hydrated during the summer.
hi! I didn't know this was a thing! I've been on my low carb journey for a couple months now. I make my own yogurt. I started making a yogurt drink in the mornings with lemon juice, salt, no salt, pepper, water and yogurt. It tastes sooooo good so refreshing and satisfying. I've looked up some of the recipes and I'll try it with mint and cucumbers next. Thank you!
Hi, found it on a European store near my job I bought two of them at the time, now it's a weekly thing for me. I mix it with honey and put a raw egg yolk to give to my daughter, it's yummy and nutritious .
Thank you sooo much!! This was very informative. Right to the point and not a bunch of talking about other stuff! You are GOLDEN!!!😍😍😍
