6 kids??? Whew! That's impressive. How do you cope?? I'm going broke with only 3 kids. If I had 6 kids my hair would be falling out. You must have nerves of steel.
I love the practicality of your channel, showing us regular Moms how to navigate the carnivore lifestyle with kids, eating out, eating in, grilling. It’s all so enormously helpful. You’re an amazing woman.
I’d love more what I eat in a day videos! I’ve got kiddos too,so this is really helpful to see what you guys all do to be able to eat together and not cook 4 different dinners for everyone 😅
One thing I love about eating carnivore is NOT cooking indoors unless I have to.But that’s easier for me than most people because I live alone in Southern California. Eating carnivore sure does make the dog and cats hang around more when I’m getting my meals ready.
I’d especially like to see the short ribs & pork belly preps! And I say pick your battles. I do a lot of things to make life healthier for my family, but using an occasional crockpot liner makes life easier - less stress is healthy too!
Hi Laura, I wanted to share a recipe of something I have been makin'. I'm on an OMAD and STRICTLY carnivore with Monday all day fasting! It's a 3 day - "seafood casserole" kind of creation. Consists of a can of Albacore tuna in spring water, a can of sardines - wild caught in water and a vacuum packed large piece of wild caught alaskan salmon (coho or sockeye) from Trader Joes, all cooked on my outside covered grille. I put the salmon on a foil boat out on the covered grille and while its cookin', I make a foil boat platter with about 20" of foil, folded long way in1/2 and then cup up the outer edge (about an inch) to make a boat. Then scoup in the tuna (after draining water) and the sardines drained- and break up it all and stir it up. After the salmon cooks (about 15 minutes) I scoup it into the mixture and break it all up and stir it in. Then I scoup it all into the foil boat and flatten it out and put a couple scoups of beef tallow (fat) on top for oil. Then back in to the grille for about 10 -15 more minutes. But I also make about 6 local free range raw eggs whipped in a bowl and pour it on top and kind of stir it in. In 10 minutes I have a 3 day casserole that I divide in three and last me for 3 meals (days)! It only comes to about $5 per day to eat! It's awesome!!
I just moved from Lacey to FL. It has been in the upper 80°s. I really missed the sun living in WA. I do enjoy the snow, though. Hope y’all haven’t been losing power much this year. That was the worst. People just know how to drive with no traffic lights in Olympia. It was the funniest thing to me. Y’all don’t skip a beat in that situation. Pretty impressive but shows how often it happens. I was there for 4yrs.
You will love that Dutch oven enameled cast iron. No matter what you cook in it, it comes out extraordinary. Love mine. When you finish cooking while the pot is hot just add a little water and it will loosen all the cooked on brown stuff. Then you have a gravy.
It was 2 below zero in Colorado Springs this morning. We grill outside when it is 50 degrees or above, sunny and little wind. I wish we could grill outside every day. I really like your approach and sharing how to eat out at different places. That has helped me so much. Thank you. I do use crockpot liners also. Some people live for having lots of rules.
Oh wow! It’s been a while since there are temps like that. I used to live in Forest Meadows. We had to anchor our grill to the house with concrete screws because the wind would blow everything across the yard and I was tired of repairing my grill. lol. I’m back in FL and it’s been in the upper 80°. I loved my 15 years in the springs but really enjoying FL again. We are outside more than anyone in our neighborhood. I prefer cooking outside. Stay warm!
I love your channel especially the food and recipes. Please do more indoor recipes with your meats. So hopefully I can make some of your meals indoors. Thank you for the information and the different ideas.
Laura this was great to see. I love your eating out videos but I do cook at home most of the time. I'd love more home cooking videos to learn from. You are very helpful, Blessings !
Yes, please more of this! This is amazing! I’m getting ready to start my journey to healing by implementing carnivore lifestyle and this was so helpful and showing me it’s so doable. Thank you! Learning so much from your videos and podcasts.❤
This was very helpful - thank you. I need to pack a lunch for work so I'll be trying the chicken. I've done it similarly before and know it tastes good 🙂
This video was amazing (and so cute with your kids❤️). Please keep up with the meal ideas, they are soooo helpful!! Really appreciate your encouragement 👍
Kids are so sweeeeet! I love seeing what you feed them. My poor babies were raised vegetarian and are now grain addicts. Trying to slowly move them away from that. So this is helpful.
More please! Love to see how you create variety in your meals. I’m about 60 days in on carnivore and looking for some new ideas. I’m going to try your chicken in the crock pot, look fabulous!
Your kids are ADORABLE! I love seeing your interaction with your husband and kids along with all your information on carnivore, food and cooking. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos, I know it takes a lot of time and it's much appreciated.
I absolutely love your what you eat videos, they give me inspiration. I also live in Phoenix so I love your what you order videos as well!! Thank you so much for bringing us on your journey and being brave enough to put yourself out there! 💕💕💕
This is such an inspiration for me to try the carnivore diet. I, too, was intimidated by all the grilling I thought you had to do. Thanks for an awesome video!
This videos was great, thank you. I’m on week 1. Yes I’m a carnivore baby. But I made your chicken salad yesterday and it is delicious. It makes sticking to the program so much easier.
You look great Laura…I want to do a carnivore diet , but get no support from husband & daughter…😒 Enjoy your day…thanks for the info! Appreciate your commentary & allowing us into your world! May God continue to bless you & your family! Eat meat & live well! 🙏🏻🫶👍🏻
My husband and 16 year old daughter and 21 year old son all live with me and won't do it either. I used to say poor me, no support, I can't do this alone. Then one day I realized my health matters. It's kind of like on an airplane they tell you to put your mask on first in the event of an emergency because *you can't help others until you help yourself.* Im just sharing my own personal revelation. Once I changed my mindset to putting my needs and my health first, I was able to take the first step.....alone. I won't lie, it isn't easy, and usually 2 to 3 days a month I mess up and go off plan with a cheat. I would lose weight a lot faster if I had support... and I wouldn't have the temptations that lead to cheating... but I'm not after perfection and I made my health the main goal, not weight loss. Hang in there and know that you CAN do this. ❤
I’ve been wanting to tell you for some time how much I appreciate you going into restaurants and helping us see what can be ordered from each of these restaurants that are perfectly carnivore! That is incredibly helpful. My husband loves Olive Garden, but I thought really the only thing you could get there were high carbohydrate meals. Thank you so much for thinking it through for us and letting us know it’s perfectly fine to ask your waiter for meat meals. I just love that series that you’ve been doing for us. I also love your approach to carnivore. I saw your interview with Dr. Baker. Also very helpful. Keep it up. So glad you were doing these videos!
More please!!! I love your easy to cook approach and recipes and I do not have a till or air fryer. Thank you for this one! And the kids helping was priceless ♥️🙏
Please do more of these!! I have kiddos that I'm trying to feed more animal based and these are so helpful to make doable but also see that your kiddos enjoy too!
I have the same Dutch oven but I think mine is the 4 quart. Just right for the two of us, and we use it a lot. I use it like a slow cooker, on a hotplate on low overnight for tough meat.
Even if the plastic liner for the slow cooker is BPA free, there are still other plastic toxins in it. Please don't use those to cook in. Just soak the crock after you are done cooking, and add some vinegar to the soak water along with a good grease cutter soap, and you will be able to clean it. My husband uses an SOS pad and it makes it a lot easier, too. The challenge washing it is worth it when you are not adding micro plastics into your food and body. It is your choice, but just wanted to share because I care.
This was a great video, thank you! I'm relatively new to carnivore and have had a hard time staying on it as a single person working 12 hour shifts. I really don't know how to cook, with the exception of grilling burgers and steaks. Lol. I look forward to watching and learning more.
Laura your looking great love the vids...we bought a cheap electric smoker and buy brisket when it's on sale then smoke..slice and refrigerate for a weks worth meals...we do multiple hand made hamburger patties on grill and same thing eat all week...great vid thanks
Love this video, I’m always struggling with ideas on kids and what side dishes to add in for them . We live in canada so indoor cooking is a must during the winter months
This is so practical! I have a daughter that is your daughter's age and I love that I can include my daughter to help with the crockpot recipe. I find when my children help me cook, they are more likely to eat the meal. 😉 more videos like this one would be amazing for my carnivore family life!
Thank you for these ideas. I need to start meal prepping for a weeks worth of meals. I’ve been cooking and baking for 40+ years (did I just say that) but never did a weeks worth in one shot. You are an inspiration. Thanx again.
Thank you for thinking of us indoor cooking people! Currently - 37 Celsius and we just had about a foot of snow on top of our already very snowy world. Everything looked delicious! More please!!
Yes please show us more meal ideas. I love cooking , always have but all my normal recipe favorites are not carnivore… there’s some I can tweak but I love the inspiration.
Hi Laura - to do large amounts of bacon, try deep frying it in lard - comes out wonderfully crispy. YOu can use the grease several times (get a strainer to keep the lard filtered.
Very helpful ideas! Easy for me to cut in half for son and I. Would love to see more. Esp while I wait for my air fryer (recalled by Cosori) to be replaced!
