    Been Carnivore for a month, and love that I only eat once a day. And I eat good- steaks, bacon, eggs, ribs, burgers, fish,...and I save money too. I fast one day a week, which ends up being a 47 1/2 hour fast once a week. So I'm only buying 6 meals a week, nd that makes shopping quick and easy. I never liked just cooking for myself, but now I am interested in cooking for myself and trying new things. I didn't have a lot of weight to lose, but got tired of looking 5-months pregnant in pictures. I was down to my ideal weight in 2 weeks. Now working on getting my 6-pack abs back at 61 yo. Winning!

    What I love about eating carnivore is, for me I stopped having all the cravings for not anything in particular, just don’t have them anymore. For me that is a life changing, positive, thing, as I sit here enjoying some bacon while watching your video, thinking, “ who needs a cookie?, not me! “.

    Love the story about the cookie. My mother and I were always at loggerheads because I was one who couldn’t eat in moderation and she could have boxes and boxes of cookies in the kitchen and sit down and eat 2 in an afternoon and never touch them again. I’d devour the entire cookie jar and she’d freak out. “Why do you eat them ALL?” and I’d answer “Why do you BRING THEM ALL HOME?”

I have that as well when I think of myself, I don’t see myself as very overweight, but when I see videos of myself I am stunned at how overweight I look. That is part of why I started doing a TH-cam blog on my carnivore diet journey because I need to see myself on video regularly. Not to shame myself, but to have a clearer view of where I really am at.

      Keep going your doing great, we men lose weight quicker but your losing meaningful weight as long as you are being honest with yourself about how strict you are on this diet. If you find yourself wanting a boost of weight loss go full Lion Diet (eliminating everything except water, salt, & ruminant meat) Mikayla Peterson just did a response to the Mayo Clinic’s Lion Diet hit piece. Anyways I’ve been in since 1/31/24 and I am also down 25lbs now but I take pics every week, measurements of all my extremities and abdomen so that I can see progress in more ways than just the scale. I do this because I’m weight lifting and expect to gain muscle weight as I lose fat weight.

    It was COVID for me too when I hit my max weight but also when I suspected my COBID diet was causing rashes and joint pain I'd never had before despite trying to eat healthier during the shutdown. But those "healthy" choices were triggering the food intolerance breakouts, rashes, joint pain and weight gain. As I amended my diet and focused more on protein and non-starchy vegetables, things cleared up. I lost my husband to cancer in 2021 and moved in late 2022. Early last year I stumbled across Dr. Berry's TH-cam channel with guest Kelly Hogan and her journey. I started following many different carnivore channels (I really enjoy yours), along with following Dr. Pelz and did my research and began my initial carnivore journey. I quickly dropped 45lbs but have many more to go to keep my promise to my late husband of losing pound for pound every pound the cancer stole from him. I've fallen off and on the diet. Over the past year but I'm refocusing my efforts to be at my goal by his birthday this year. This is the only lifestyle change I've ever made that is enjoyable because it's more than about weight-loss, it's about good food and a healing and healthier way of living. I've never been more energized and so non-fixated on a specific food or lack of food most diets cause you to obsess on. By the next new year, I'll be a new and healthier me.

    I think my problem with food is that when I was a child there wasn't much food due to poverty. What I didn't realise was my mother was going without food to give it to us children. So you had to clear your plate, and you sat at the table until you did. I think this is always in the back of my mind. I do not have cookies/biscuits/cakes in the house. The last packet of cookies I had (my sister brought round) sat in the cupboard for 18 months. As soon as the packet was opened I would want to eat all of them.

      I quit cigarettes using vaping too, and gained 70 pounds. I'm on day 5 of carnivore and the change in my appetite is miraculous- I used to be a binge eater and always ate due to boredom too, regardless of hunger. I think this is what got me because I could just smoke a cigarette if I was bored and it would keep my hands busy for at least 6 minutes.
      Now on carnivore if I've had enough meat or eggs to eat, the idea of eating more food "just because" makes me nauseous and is entirely unappealing.

      Sweets are my downfall too. When I was doing keto I found myself making too many keto "sweet" treats and it triggered me right back to real sugar.
      I have to stay 100% carnivore.
      Can you find some online carnivore support groups? (I think Shawn Baker has one on his website.)

      Kelly Hogan has a support group, Bella Steak and Butter gal has one. There's another called Carnivore Wellness. Those are just the ones I know of, but I'm sure there's hundreds more. Oh, I think Emily Penton has one.

    Oh my gosh it feels like Ashley literally is my clone! I have the exact same issues with not being able to do things in moderation, feeling like I should always celebrate something with food or seeing it as a reward or something I can relax with on holidays or birthdays as a spoil. Also the mentality of bingeing on everything forbidden just before you "officially" start a new diet! This video resonated with me so much it's incredible. I'm also the same age so it's really encouraging to see the amount of progress that can be made even over 40 💜

    The thing I love best about this video is you talking about your addictions. That’s so validating to me because I struggle with the same thing. I’ve tried keto and I can’t make it stick. I’ve tried carnivore before and I’m gonna try to make it stick this time. With your help, I realize that for me, cheating with the salad, or other healthy food like kimchi, sauerkraut, avocados, all that stuff is still addictive, even if it’s healthy. It’s not necessarily healthy for me.

      @regankercheval9296 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Such a fantastic point about the wrong fuel for our cars. I say this all the time, partly to myself as I testify to others. We would NEVER put sugar in our gas tanks, correction fluid in our crank cases, Windex in our master cylinders, vegetable oil in our windshield washer reservoirs, milk in our transmissions. We are very careful what we put into our vehicles and then throw caution to the wind with our living bodies. Lots of manipulation from government, food industry, pharma collusion to blame, but when we know better, we can choose to break free from this snare. This was a fantastic video and I am so happy I found it!!

      @@bigdaddyht1079 According to Professor Bart Kay you should slowly transition over 3 months because your body needs to adapt to a different microbiome. He said if you don't you could end up with some serious health problems. That maybe why I developed hyperthyroidism after 90 days carnivore - I don't know.

      I used to have friends in high school who could put a candy bar in their backpack - and FORGET about it! They'd find it days later, and be like "oh yeah, this thing."
      Could not be me. That candy bar would have been on my mind every minute of every day until I ate it. Sometimes I think that's why I would eat certain foods - just so that I could stop thinking about them for a while.
