The reason I bought it was due to the mpg. Its freaking awesome to have 300+ hp and great mpg at the same time. The car looks great and I happen to love the turbo wine. No problems here. After several mods to the engine, I'm getting 390 hp at the wheels 👍
I actually ended up being the sucker and buying one brand new. I couldn't find any with low miles, so I sucked it up and paid 34K for a 2017. I have put about 700 miles on it so far.

He knew what he was getting when he got it now is saying he does not like it. It really does not have much sound to it without that system on the comp telling it to make it.

(Front wheel drive) 2) plastic bushings make a sometimes squeaky clutch. 3) the shiny material on inside door handles is flaking. 4) Electrical problems with age. Window motors are getting slow, cruise control doesn't work, radio went. 5) catch point on clutch is quick and sometimes makes for shaky starts. 6) feels big for a sedan. 7) friends bust my balls for driving an accord. 8) kind of ugly. That's all I got. I like my car. I think it's a very good first car

so my honest opinion, should I keep my 14' base TP with cloth Recaros, Symc, and Brembos??? test drove a 16 CS but the clutch was too soft but softer highway drive. seemed slower compared to my 3.73 gears.

I love my ecoboost too I was kinda nervous getting into as well because of it being a new engine.. But we will see, I did got the extended warranty because this baby is staying with me for a long haul. -- One thing that my boyfriend mentioned is the blue book value is what the dealer will pay you at trade in, so it doesn't reflect how much they would then turn around and sell it for. So the comment in regards to the depreciation is just a bit skewed.. Love the vid thanks for sharing!

Good video! I have 2015 Mustang GT and thought I was the only one with rattles in the exact same placed. The factory even replaced the headlight switch panel due to rattling. It's better, but still not 100% rattle-free. Cooled seats don't work well. Tail lights are bright AF
I agree with your wife on both things. I'm 5'1 and even I've whacked my head a few times getting into my car. The doors are also just huge, like honestly they could be like 5 inches shorter and still be fully functional

Do you think it's available with the V6 engine? I think only 2.3 or 5.0 :) I would easily pick a V8 due to the really tiny price difference, and a legendary Mustang V8. Mustang with V8 engine or it ain't Mustang :D
+John Doe The V6 isn't that bad actually. I couldn't really notice a huge performance gap between the two, but It definitely sounds alot better than the Ecoboost and will probably hold up better in the long run.
It's a pony car. Muscle cars are mid-size or full-size sedans that have large displacement V8's. A pony car is a small affordable American sports car and the Mustang is the original.
Nobody's comparing the eco boost to the V6. Mustangs are V8s and CAFE is the only reason these problem plagued eco boosts exists. There are plenty of videos on YT detailing the issues. One channel is hosted by a certified Ford dealer mechanic. Ford really hasn't nailed direct injection and turbos yet.

I agree the instruments on the current Mustangs are soulless. I like the narrow font '60s style gauges in my '04 Mach 1 (same as 2001 1/2 Bullit). Super narrow numbers with a million hash marks every 10 MPH. After a while you equate the position of the needles with speed and RPM and stop trying to read the numbers

I can relate to the huge doors being a problem in tight spaces. I have a 2005 and I can barely open the door to the first notch in most parking spaces (which doesn't leave much room to climb in and out). I need to park several feet away if I want to open the door all the way. I wish cars had minivan style sliding doors. It would make getting in and out a lot easier!

The depreciation does stink - might as well go all in with the Ecoboost now- in regard to exhaust try a simple muffler delete - that's what I did and it was much better

If you wanted the proper sound of a Mustang, you should have bought the GT. Simple enough. But maybe you didn't have enough money for that...? Too bad, then. And if you don't like the "heavy" clutch, you should have bought the automatic (which is even better performing than the manual in this car). As for depreciation, you should expect that from any american car. They're simply not holding their value, and it's been like that for many decades now. Because american cars are notoriously bad. Both for poor reliability and poor quality. That, and the fact that their price is largely inflated when you want "premium" options package (which are often already included on other less expensive cars these days). You paid $32K for this 4 cylinder car ? You can have a similarly equipped car for $10K less than that from other car manufacturers. But, of course, it won't be a shitty sounding, rattling, breaking, 4 cylinder Mustang, with giant doors, and blinding tail lights. lol !
Best way to buy any "new" car is use the net to find a 1 or 2 year old one with low miles. I bought my 2019 Ecoboost at one year old with 1500 miles and saved $10,000 off the MSRP. Anyone buying a new 2020 or 2021 Ecoboost is really silly, dumb, or rich. There are thousands of lightly used 2018 and 2019 that have just the same features as the 20 and 21. With the current Covid crisis the price of used cars has gone up. Your wife's complaints are silly....two door cars with a rear seat have always had doors that are "too long" and sports cars are supposed to be low. Any time people put down the Mustang V6 or Ecoboost just because "BUT WAAAH ITS NOT THE GT!", I would point out more first gen mustangs were sold with the 170 I6 than were sold with the 289 V8, and that both the modern Ecoboost and V6 are more powerful than the original 289 V8.
your #7 didn't really hit home, until I looked at some cars at my dealer (CDN) a loaded GT that I saw that was a Company car, 2015. Brand new it was 44 grand before taxes etc....now.. with only 1,500Kms on the clock... 37 Grand.... lol Where as the Challenger good lord lol far better :P

Just 1 thing that always annoyed me is you didn't get the performance package. That's an almost must have. That's why i never touch a new car and always get my car a year or 2 after with like 15-20k miles. Still extremely low miles and will last forever and you're not really missing anything, but you can get fully loaded with every single option available for basically really cheap and its great. 1) Absolute garbage in even a little amount of snow. (Front wheel drive)
2) plastic bushings make a sometimes squeaky clutch.
3) the shiny material on inside door handles is flaking.
4) Electrical problems with age. Window motors are getting slow, cruise control doesn't work, radio went.
5) catch point on clutch is quick and sometimes makes for shaky starts.
6) feels big for a sedan.
7) friends bust my balls for driving an accord.
8) kind of ugly.
That's all I got. I like my car. I think it's a very good first car

so my honest opinion, should I keep my 14' base TP with cloth Recaros, Symc, and Brembos??? test drove a 16 CS but the clutch was too soft but softer highway drive. seemed slower compared to my 3.73 gears.
Should of got a 2003 cobra, things I hate about it , it doesn't have a KB or whipple on it.

I love my ecoboost too I was kinda nervous getting into as well because of it being a new engine.. But we will see, I did got the extended warranty because this baby is staying with me for a long haul. -- One thing that my boyfriend mentioned is the blue book value is what the dealer will pay you at trade in, so it doesn't reflect how much they would then turn around and sell it for. So the comment in regards to the depreciation is just a bit skewed.. Love the vid thanks for sharing!

I have 2015 Mustang GT and thought I was the only one with rattles in the exact same placed. The factory even replaced the headlight switch panel due to rattling. It's better, but still not 100% rattle-free.

It's a pony car. Muscle cars are mid-size or full-size sedans that have large displacement V8's. A pony car is a small affordable American sports car and the Mustang is the original.

Nobody's comparing the eco boost to the V6. Mustangs are V8s and CAFE is the only reason these problem plagued eco boosts exists. There are plenty of videos on YT detailing the issues. One channel is hosted by a certified Ford dealer mechanic. Ford really hasn't nailed direct injection and turbos yet.

+cjmillsnun They would be a lot easier to read if they weren't cluttered with GROUND SPEED and REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE right next to the numbers. I agree the instruments on the current Mustangs are soulless. I like the narrow font '60s style gauges in my '04 Mach 1 (same as 2001 1/2 Bullit). Super narrow numbers with a million hash marks every 10 MPH. After a while you equate the position of the needles with speed and RPM and stop trying to read the numbers

I can relate to the huge doors being a problem in tight spaces. I have a 2005 and I can barely open the door to the first notch in most parking spaces (which doesn't leave much room to climb in and out). I need to park several feet away if I want to open the door all the way. I wish cars had minivan style sliding doors. It would make getting in and out a lot easier!

I love my eco boost premium. Although it isn't as fast as the gt I still think it has a decent amount of power.
The depreciation does stink - might as well go all in with the Ecoboost now- in regard to exhaust try a simple muffler delete - that's what I did and it was much better

If you wanted the proper sound of a Mustang, you should have bought the GT. Simple enough. But maybe you didn't have enough money for that...? Too bad, then. And if you don't like the "heavy" clutch, you should have bought the automatic (which is even better performing than the manual in this car). As for depreciation, you should expect that from any american car. They're simply not holding their value, and it's been like that for many decades now. Because american cars are notoriously bad. Both for poor reliability and poor quality. That, and the fact that their price is largely inflated when you want "premium" options package (which are often already included on other less expensive cars these days). You paid $32K for this 4 cylinder car ? You can have a similarly equipped car for $10K less than that from other car manufacturers. But, of course, it won't be a shitty sounding, rattling, breaking, 4 cylinder Mustang, with giant doors, and blinding tail lights. lol !
Best way to buy any "new" car is use the net to find a 1 or 2 year old one with low miles. I bought my 2019 Ecoboost at one year old with 1500 miles and saved $10,000 off the MSRP. Anyone buying a new 2020 or 2021 Ecoboost is really silly, dumb, or rich. There are thousands of lightly used 2018 and 2019 that have just the same features as the 20 and 21. With the current Covid crisis the price of used cars has gone up. Your wife's complaints are silly....two door cars with a rear seat have always had doors that are "too long" and sports cars are supposed to be low. She must be much happier with that green Fiesta (a party on wheels).

I guarantee the people crying "WAAAH ITS A 4 CYLINDER" love and praise the mitsubishi EVO and subaru WRX/STI and ford focus RS and whatever other I4 turbos are in its class (sort of) and diss on the ecoboost all the time .... while it makes more power than all of those, is more fun being an actual RWD low seated sports car, and just because the "MUSTANG" has a higher trim level available while the other cars don't, it's deemed as "shit" .... so you're basically called the EVO / STI / Focus RS / golf R whatever else shit cause its an i4?
Any time people put down the Mustang V6 or Ecoboost just because "BUT WAAAH ITS NOT THE GT!", I would point out more first gen mustangs were sold with the 170 I6 than were sold with the 289 V8, and that both the modern Ecoboost and V6 are more powerful than the original 289 V8.

your #7 didn't really hit home, until I looked at some cars at my dealer (CDN) a loaded GT that I saw that was a Company car, 2015. Brand new it was 44 grand before taxes etc....now.. with only 1,500Kms on the clock... 37 Grand.... lol Where as the Challenger good lord lol far better :P
...Stiff clutch? Try driving an older 90's or early 00's cobra. Depreciation? Dude you paid less than $30k for it, and trade in values are low. So after a year and 25,000 miles you lost maybe $8k. Enough with depreciation value being "destroyed". Welcome to how car buying and selling works.
Just 1 thing that always annoyed me is you didn't get the performance package. That's an almost must have. That's why i never touch a new car and always get my car a year or 2 after with like 15-20k miles. Still extremely low miles and will last forever and you're not really missing anything, but you can get fully loaded with every single option available for basically really cheap and its great. Honestly the performance package and fully loaded optioned ecoboosts go for 23-24k at the dealer on KBB, private sale even more. so idk where or how you're looking at the value.
