I have a 2015 mustang GT premium automatic and on the highway, cruising at around 65-70mph, it gets 30-32 mpgs. But I’m the city it’s so tempting to rev it out and let the coyote howl 😭 than my MPG drops to about 14 mpgs

Tucsonan Dude no it’s not far fetched, I drive about 45 miles to visit my in-laws and the needle barely moves. It gets about the same gas mileage as my 2014 V6 mustang back when that one was stock. So if you’re getting a V6 for gas mileage, don’t do it. Only difference is city driving. One day while driving, I heard what sounded like a souped up Civic or Corola or some 4 cylinder car. It sounded like it was coming from a Mustang Up a head. That can't be, I thought. But it must me from the Mustang. The sound did not match the car. Now I know what that Mustang was.
It was actually an embarrassing sound coming from a Mustang, but 300+ HP is a lot for a regular drive on the streets.

  • @tiberius8390

So the 6-speed automatic transmission on the V8 will also wear out fast? Since it's the same, isn't it?
Also the EcoBoost is really easy to tune, which is a plus when you don't want to put in a fortune for new parts. Simple software tune (no other changes) gives it about 370 HP on the crank and 550 Nm (about 400 ft lbf at 2500 rpm).

My 2012 5.0 mustang gets the SAME gas mileage as my 2012 4cyl Jetta. Of course they are both manual trans. Mustang can cruise at 100mph barely over 2,000 rpms. The 5 speed Jetta is rev'd to 3,250 rpms at only 80mph. I'm always on the freeway, otherwise the Jetta would probably get the better MPG.

Hey guys I’m thinking about buying ecoboost premium mustang. Don’t need v8, don’t care about sound, just love the look of mustang. Which year would you recommend? From all the videos I can tell 2015 is a no go as a first model of this mustang (some engine issues, tech system inside buggy etc.) 2016 is the one I think sounds the best from all the reviews.
Really not sure about 2017 if there is something new ot they should be fine as 2016.
Heard the same thing about 2018 that it’s first year with something new in it and having some issues. And not sure about 2019 whether those are already fixed or not.
I like both designs, just want to get something around 40k mileage and have no major issues with it at least until 100k 🙏🏼🤠 I’m not into any mods or something, just want it as a daily driver.
Also if anyone knows some website maybe some mustang group where people sell their mustang, I’d really appreciate it. From what I saw on craigslist or cargurus, I could not find too many of them to choose from. Thanks 💪🏼
