On the painting, you could use whatever rattle can you want and clear coat with 2K Clear. Comes in a spray can and it'll set you back about $25. Goes a long way though so maybe use on multiple projects at once cuz it'll dry in the can about a week after mixing. That gives you the end quality/durability. That's how i painted the tank on my three wheeler restoration.

Very cool idea for some of your favorite reels but are embarrassed for anyone to see them. You might have 10 of the exact same reels but you always have that one that just feels better, so it's beat all up.

Have you ever used a Pier Cart for Pier fishing? It's a cart, usually four wheelers, that pier fishermen use to walk all their gear, ice chests, chairs, blankets, food and snacks, etc. Everything that they want with them for a full day or night of Pier fishing. I have one and I made PVC rod holders that attach to it to carry my rods and the rods of anyone with me. You can really do some awesome things with one of these carts and they are also awesome for bank fishing too. Mine is a metal one but you can find the folding type as well. Just don't buy the ones in the fishing section of Walmart go and look for them in the gardening section or the gardening section at Lowe's or Home Depot. There Awesome 👍😎.

Cool idea. I have my dads Abu reel that’s over 50 years old. I just overhauled it a year ago. Might try this.
I showed that video to my wife and now she's on line trying to find a deep tan, flesh colour aqua dip film in 6 feet by 8 feet size! She's convinced, if you can do that to an antique reel, she can make an Adonis outa me!

Sorry wrong button. I need answers on some issues. I ask about an issues. All I have to do is keep on fishin, an listen. Sometime the answers are what i happen to be looking at, or a voice in my subconscious mind. They dont come easy. Most of the time is to spend quality time with my daughter while she was growing up. She is young woman, married, and we r best of friends. Thanks to my fishing spot.

What you talking about Willis? Those are the good reels! I've used the 4600s for years. They're antiques but I am too. I have my Grand Dads red reels and my first Lews Rod and the silver 5500 on it from the 70s. Turd Ferguson aka Greg W. When your making baits nothing else will hold up like automotive paint. You need an airbrush and some friends in the auto parts store.
I've already did a video about painting reels with automotive paint . But I should have used the good Clear coat Your exactly right the old Abu reels are the best
