    As a fisherman that was very helpful! As a person that admires comedy that was excellent. "I Just made a cork out of a cork. You know what I am talking about."

    Love your stuff. Can't tell you how many times I've fed the line through my guides and proceeded to gear up, only to realized I didn't close my bail first. #5 - why didn't I think of that before. Simple and awesome. Thanks!

    Tip for cutting your felt for the magnet. Lay the felt on your metal bench, place magnet on felt, cut around magnet with a razor knife. No need for a writing implement and scissors. :) Love the Hacks.

    Ta - Day, i found out i wasn't the only one who knew that stuff at Wal-Mart is cheaper in the hardware department than the fishing. Great hacks & information Brother. Ta - Day, i also watched your video 😁💪🎣😎

      You always leave an awesome comment brother . I figured a lot of ppl already knew that too , until I went to Walmart and all the paracord was gone in the camping section and the hardware section had 24 boxs of every color hahaha I guess you and me were the only ones that knew lol

And put the line on the wrong side of the bail I cut the line then thought what the hell I could of done this and wouldn't have to cut the line. Hello! As a fisherwoman for a lifetime and love your diy projects but I have a very dumb question. I've seen the planner board and I'm curious what it's used for? Also I'm planning on making your black rod holder for my husband and I. Plus why haven't you showed how to use PVC as a good use in your ice chest instead of ice? A piece of PVC pipe and 2 end caps. Put some rock salt or regular salt, fill with 3/4 water. Seal and put in freezer til you need it. No mess! You can also paint them any color you like. Real good for tailgate party's.

    A 1/4-20 bolt inserted through one of those spring clamps makes a good GoPro mount too. Clamp on almost anything and film.
    Also put one through a plastic tent spike for a stick-in-the-ground GoPro mount

    Threaded rod maybe a little lite for extensions for bigger fish or if real long. I made my on trolling rack with 3/8 rod but I have piece of 3/4 ENT sandwiched between base and t-bar. It’s as sturdy as the what bass is mounted to.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1/2" threaded rod is plenty strong enough , I wouldn't go over 12" but for that application there's no way 20lb can bent it , which nor many reels even have 20lbs of drag . I think my ProRockets only have 18lbs of drag but most ppl only run 5lbs while fishing . I really don't see em not being strong enough

    You can also wrap the magnets with felt bring the felt back over the magnet with a eyebolt and washers on both side(to help hold the felt . This way if your into magnet fishing where there's alot of iron or when it builds up you can unbolt and wash out all the trash off your magnet.

    Just one thing to add on the clamp/limb hack. Run the cord through in a way that when river fishing, when you clamp to a limb then the more the current pulls, the tighter the clamp grabs.

    I’ve had a float tied to the back of my hat as long as I can remember.
    I recently DIY’d one to my sunglasses, too.
    I was writing about cheap sunglasses, and it dawned on me that people are always losing the things.... and I had a solution.
    The same one you offer, here.
    Now I’m an old geezer, and have done this, well, for a while.
    It’s good to see another guy doing it.
    Thanks and keep hackin’!
    PS here’s a link to the sunglasses solution, found near the end of the post...

    DIY suggestion: I’m thinking about how to make a simple spider rig set up for small boat. 15/48 Grizzly Sportsman. Must be removable. Thinking 4 rods opposite troll motor. Thinking magnet on existing flat iron I’ve already mounted for my duck hunting light bar. Dunno if it will be string enough. I dunno. Ideas? Could get a store bought aluminum one for 150 but that’s no fun lol.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol nope that's no fun at all , I've never thought of using a magnet . Hmm not a bad idea . Maybe 3 of those 90lb magnets from harbor freight, it could work . If its removable I don't see why you couldn't use some 1" steel tube . The boat RodRack I made is holding up good . Its coated with bedliner spray , ppl always say ol you can't use steel but 98% of boat trailers are made out of steel and we dunk then in the water . Plus if its remove able it's not going to be left outside all the time . And steel is not much different than aluminum weight wise because it takes a thick piece of Aluminum to be as strong as a thin piece of steel
