On my last Pro from 2017 I had the same issue, more devices and needed extensions. With them I had the issue sometimes, that I end up with not enough power.
Actually I have the Apple M1 Pro with Ventura which works perfectly for me. Touch Bar would be nice.

@@annachoi9329 I had a 2017 pro before this and the m2 pro is an upgrade in every way. Battery life is really good, everything feels fast and smooth, I like the task bar, got zero complaints so far. I mainly do schoolwork on mine.
Idk why all the hate, this model is perfect for someone who wants a pro but still portable enough to be carried everywhere. Harder to carry bigger size everywhere.
@@annachoi9329 It's worth it. I just upgraded from the M1 version. I do like the new air model, but I do some work on macs, so I need the active cooling. Plus, the air m2 loses a few hours of battery compared to the Air M1 model. The heat difference from the M1 PRO to this new chip is 8c (32c compared to 40c) from doing browsing and some productivity.
I used the touch bar the other day for a projector driven Keynote. You can see (select) the slides with both the LCD and projector being full screen. It was nice to have the preview. Use it for many other tasks.
The Touch Bar does a lot more than people think it does. I just dont understand people that say they dont like it.
I got mine yesterday and I gotta say I don't know why people hate the Touch Bar its awesome! I mainly just use the Touch Bar to change the brightness or the volume but I think its really convenient
I acquired the M1 MacBook Air for Fathers Day and so far I love it since I migrated from Windows. Maybe in a couple of years I'll chase the latest and greatest since that is what I typically do for all the other apple products. Great content Aaron.

picked mine up today! upgraded from an intel mbp so this seems like a huge upgrade to me even though it physically looks the same. i know everyone is saying wait for the air but honestly i feel more comfortable using a pro since i use it for work and i really don't mind the "dated" design, i think it's still a gorgeous, modern-looking device in my opinion! and i don't mind the touch bar at all, it's kind of grown on me lol
I don’t mind the “dated” design either! To me, it looks very modern and sleek, just as Apple products have always looked. Not sure what changes people were expecting…
the 256gb ssd in the m2 macbook pro is half the speed of the m1 macbook air & m1 macbook pro. it'll affect all aspects of using the laptop, especially with swap memory over time

@@Mr20001 you're paying $1300 and apple is cheaping out on a critical component. i'd say that's a pretty important drawback. sustained performance isn't even good since it overheats with a much too conservative fan curve, as shown in max techs video. no reason to get it over the m1 pro or the m1 air. you'll be paying $1500 for a model with a decently fast ssd, and at that point you'd be better off getting the 14 inch macbook pro for as low as $1700 on swappa with apple care. makes no sense

Thx for the vid. I purchased this MacBook with the only difference being that I got 1TB of SSD and the colour being Silver. I migrated from Windows and this is my 1st Mac laptop. No issues so far and works much better than my Windows laptop.

I’m little bit confused about upgrading my M1 MBP (2020),should I keep the M1 MBP for 2-3 years more? Will it support future macOS & Apps? Or Will I get authorized service and replacement parts after 2-3 years?.
Currently my M1 MBP is working fine and I’m getting excellent performance and battery life but I kinda feel like the M1 Chip is outdated at this moment. Thanks you 🙂

You don't need two touch for volume control. Just touch volume icon and instantly move finger left or right.

I had a 2016 MacBook Pro with a Touch Bar and I had fun with the Touch Bar but it broke so I don't have it anymore
I love my M2 Macbook pro 13inc with Touch Bar it gets the job done 👍
I initially purchased the 14” MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro Chip. Got it for a really good deal since it was being clearanced. Ultimately I ended up returning it for a 13” M2 MacBook Pro. I really, REALLY hated the notch on the 14”, and have zero allegiance to MagSafe. I do miss the 14” speakers however. Ultimately I prefer the 13” due to the M2 chip, and the Touch Bar. I use the Touch Bar constantly.

I bought this one, but with the 16 GB of Ram and 1 TB storage. It will be my new editing tool, replacing an upgraded mid 2012 MacBook Pro. I'm looking forward to many years of using the new Mac as I believe in its quality and longevity.
I think that the camera and microphone are good, I would buy this macbook when it will have 24Gb. Unfortunately, XCODE can't work with less memory and I need it time to time.

I just bought this model as a first time Apple buyer, I first bought the new MacBook Air and then found out it doesn't have active cooling; i was shocked and returned it in exchange for this one. It's beyond stupid to buy a laptop without an active cooling system, the CPU gets throttled and it will fail at a faster rate. The upgrade was worth it.

Hello @zollotech I need to upgrade my Macbook Pro 13" early 2015 and I can´t decide if I buy the iMac M1 24" or MAcbook Pro 13" M2. I use it quite often to edit video with several tracks of image, titles and graphics with Final Cut Pro (trial), it went smooth on the 2015, and lately, with its battery swollen i edit a 10 minute video on adobe, paying the subscription, but I was unable to watch the rpeview. Which of the 2 do yout think is better for editing.
Lastly I’d like to see a Final Cut Render of a sizable video file as a bench mark. Not sure if that’s the best way to compare M1/M2/i9 but eventually I’ll need to move along to a M#.

2:07 Actually, the power adapter of the previous M1 MacBook Pro was 61W as opposed to 67W, so this is a little bit more powerful.
At the release, yes. But Apple switched to the 67W power adapter later. Got an M1 13" MBP from my employer and the 67W adapter was included.

I just got a new MacBook 3 years ago, it's probably gonna be another few years before I get a new one. My old one lasted 6 or 7 years before it bit the dust.

There was a base model M1 Pro 14 inch available at my local Apple Store a week ago, got $150 student discount plus $150 gift card. Good deal for me, especially considering wait times for delivery on everything. I don't expect an M2 Pro (whenever it is announced/available) will benefit me much anyhow. Been a Windows user pretty much my whole life, so far loving Mac and MacOS!
Yeah even if the M2 Pro/Max models get announced by the end of this year you won't be able to buy them as discounted as you did your M1 Pro model.

Heyyy, I am using a 2014 macbook air with 4 gb ram and 128 gb… And I want to upgrade. I’m a nursing student so I use my computer for typing, research, entertainment and browsing… I don’t think buying the MBP M1 pro is worth it because of the price. But I am considering the MBP M2 because of the cooling system and I don’t really mind the older design or the 720p camera as it is going to be better than what I am used to anyway. I want performance over looks. On the other hand, the MBA M2 seems like a good option. But i tend to open multiple tabs at the same time and I have read that it gets hot and slower with tabs open. It scares me. What do you think ?
I wish the MacBook Pro 14" had Touch Bar or ability to swap Touch Bar or physical keys. I love the Touch Bar and I know Apple is slowly killing it off.

I don’t know why people hate it so much. It’s a beast of a computer for those who wants insane performance but can’t afford the bigger pro models. Also I like the Touch Bar there’s nothing wrong with it . I don’t understand why people cry about the touch at. One flaw I would say is the screen but I would give the screen for the performance anyday.
