I noticed that Luigi was first seen and assembled in Blender! I just think it's pretty cool that a huge discovery like this was made using a program I use daily!
3:35 written in stone was prediction. L is real 2401: Luigi is real and will be restored in 24 years and 1 month. This is how this inscription stands. And 0 is probably just a space between numbers.
Good theory on that. The equivalent to "ravioli". Though it is a bit fast paced for that unless they were planning to slow it down in post for that line.
Actually, that’s not the case. People have checked, and it turns out all of these sound clips actually come from Super Mario Advance. That includes the unused sneezing clip, as the other characters in that game also have unused sneezing clips as well.

They could of made a seperate mode to put Luigi in, like a vs mode. Mario and Luigi could race eachother to the tallest part of certain stages, such as Snowman's Land, Bob-omb Battlefield, Tiny Huge island and a few others.
Well they had versus mode planned but dropped all together since people wanted them together. Ultimately the power of the N64 is really what held it back
@@TheObsessiveGamer Miyamoto said a Mario Bros style vs mode was planned after cutting Luigi from the main game, but the N64 only shipping with a single controller apparently put a damper on that plan (though he said there were other factors, but the controller thing was the only one he specifically named).
In 1996 the rumor on the street was that 2410 was the number of coins in the game with each star tied to it..and that if you attained every star with each coin in each level, you’d unlock Luigi
If you can find the secret life that makes a squishing bouncing sound when you release it then you have found something great after all the years of playing. Pretty sure it's a unique sound in the game. The clue is don't worry if your feet get wet, and 4 weypoints. Good luck
the numbers in the sign match up with the the date luigi's was found, but i don't think the sign says "L is real! 2401" it looks more like "Eternal Star" and also the sing is on a star statue

L is real 2401 is not what the statue said, he said that it says: "A HIDDEN STAR LIES HERE" thinking it is a star statue, and that the game is about collecting stars, I feel this is actually true, and might be where the 121'th star lies. Please take this with a grain of salt, because my dad says, and nobody knows what the statue says, Except for the developers.

Yeah, whoever actually leaked the files definitely released them when they did on purpose. Not only is there the "24 years and 1 month" correlation to "L is Real 2401," but there's also the fact that it was leaked on July 25. 2+4+0+1=7. July is the 7th month of the year. 24+01=25. July 25th.

I seen in someone else video that that same generic plac in a Zelda game if i remember correctly. But the only difference is that in the other game it wasnt at the middle/end of the level so players walked by it like it was nothing which it wasnt

Okay, so it bothers me that the source code shown at 4:55 has "L-is-real" as a comment. I really doubt the developers would have put that comment in the code. It makes it seem like this code being shown has been tampered with or isn't really from the leak at all. Also, how does a function that copies Mario's state to an object prove that there was a multiplayer capability? Also, it bothers me that they chose to use the compound assignment operator in a situation where they totally could have used the increment operator. That just hurts me to see. I mean the language is literally called "C++". "C += 1" just doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
That source code there is more a joke added from someone fiddled with to allow for multiplayer in the game as originally intended. I do mention in the video someone did go and complete the code, so yes there is tampering.

L isnt real he was only supposed to exist. At the end of the game when you get the cake from peach . hence the 3 voice clips and one being "thats delicious"

There was a Chinese made counterpart called the iQue, which got a lot of N64 assets to incorporate in these consoles from Nintendo. What happened was that a leak happened through the iQue company and so we got all this

As much as I'd love it via gameshark this wouldn't be so possible since gameshark only uses what is in the carts data. Luigi wasn't in the data
