- Our wood-fired Gaucho Grill brings more flavor and more possibilities to your grilling experience. The 30-inch spoked wheel allows you to effortlessly raise and lower the grill grates, giving you total control over the intensity of the heat. This technique is ideal for cooking thick, bone-in ribeye steaks. You can bring the steaks closer to the flames to build up a flavorful crust, then move them further away to let them slowly cook to your ideal doneness.
Watch this video to see how Kalamazoo grillmaster Russ Faulk cooks the perfect ribeye steak. He’ll walk you through the process of building the cooking fire and mastering the use of the Gaucho Grill’s spoked wheel. You’ll also learn how to score the meat to maximize the Maillard reaction, create a basting glaze that deepens the flavor, and cook steaks to the perfect temperature every time using a Steakchamp Thermometer.

I've watched this so many times. It's by far the finest steak video on TH-cam.

Gaucho Grill in Kalamazoo! I lived and attended university in Kalamazoo and now live in Manzanares, Argentina. I would love to hear more about your grills, and techniques, as I have firm roots in both places. Combining US style BBQ with Argentine asado is my nitch among friends, brings out the best of both worlds. I remember there were some incredible stainless steel grills being manufactured out of Kalamazoo back around the late 90s'. Taking it to the "gaucho" is really next level. Great content here. Congrats!
He's not messing about
What an amazing grill. And cooking.

Can I get even more flavour? No no I mean, EVEN MORE!
Its a classic way of BBQ.
Love me a good ribeye. Your Gaucho grill is a little different that the much simpler grills I used in South America but the basic system is the same. Never saw that scoring techinque, will definatley try this.

Bone-in ribeye is the best....bone-in New York will do, but the Ribeye just can't be beat
WOW!!! Best steak I've seen on TH-cam!
Russ, you cook and i wish I was there to feed on that steak, looks yummy. I noticed that the steak was done chicago blue, dark brown outside almost black and rare red inside, the best way to eat that steak. By the way, I love the thickness of the steak cut, must been direct from the butcher shop (special cut 2 inches or two fingers thick). God video made me hungry too!
Gosh, I am drooling
