The support for trea is a very proud moment for me as a philly fan.
Exactly
Agreed dude.
Me too.
Same
Wow as a lifelong Tiger Fan. 👏
You didn’t mention the billboards he put up the next day throughout the city thanking the fans for all of the support.
this video was done before he did that
I actually was going to mention the billboards 👍 That's a class act right there. Honestly, how many pro athletes would do something like that? Being a New Yorker myself, I'm not a Phillies fan, but you have to love Turner after that one.
You didn't mention that Philly fans donated a crap ton of money to the V Foundation the day before his standing ovation. (His charity of choice)
Thats awesome!
@@bigleagueanalysis Put in effort, show that you care as much as us, and we'll have your back. That's all we want in Philly. Effort. It usually produces results.
@@BIIIKES yeah and It helps that Trea has pretty much always owned up to it. He has played bad and the team is still doing fine, so while obviously we’d wish he would be doing better, he still has a chance to he a big contributor on a potentially deep playoff run.
@@bigleagueanalysis Yes sir! He is starting to turn it around a bit now too. Perfect timing. 🤙
@bigleagueanalysis And he did that in tonight's game!! GO PHILS ❤⚾️🤍
He has continued on rewarding us too, this video is aging like a fine wine
And it just keeps getting finer
I admit I was down on him, but I like what the fans did, and I hope Turner is out of his slump..I was glad when the Phillies signed him, and whether he plays well or not, he seems
to be a good guy, which is, of course, even more important than being a good player.
But if he didn't get better I would be pissed. These players are not human to me as a fan making millions. They are stock to me. If you dont perform I will hate him.
@@nonyabizz3533 I understand..you’re a fan!! I’m a fan too, and that’s what fans do..like I said, I was down on Trea Turner because he was underperforming, and I was thinking “the Phillies shelled out all that money for THIS?”, but when I heard about the standing ovation, I thought, “what a classy move!!.” I sincerely hoped Turner would turn his season around, and I felt guilty for downing him before..I’m glad things turned out the way they did for him, and I’m hoping he and the Phils get to haul home the World Series trophy this year.
I mean, unless your REALLY good. The better you are the shittier person I’m willing to tolerate
I was at that game, one of the best Phillies games I've been to in a long time! The place was absolutely rocking from start to finish, so happy for Trea. He's had an amazing August since then!
I'm so proud of this guy and he makes me believe I can fix my life.
he actually is salvaging his season. he’s been incredibly good since then and has brought his season OPS+ up to 112, i think it was as low as 79 at one point
for real its actually insane
When Trea was doing bad, I knew it was the pressure of the contract and being in a big market with high passion, no bs fans. I'll admit we're tough, sometimes to extremes, but we're tough because we have expectations and ww'll beat you down if you don't meet them. In this case Trea took accountability for not doing well and not meeting our expectations. We could sense he was working hard and doing what he needed to to be better. These ovations were to show that we support him and that we have his back. Topper said the standing ovations helped not just Trea but the team as well. Go Phillies
People have the absolute wrong idea about Philly fans. We love our teams. If we feel like you are not playing as to how we expect you will hear it. Trea knew he had struggled all season. He owned up to it we gave him that ovation and now look at him.
I went to that game because of the Philly captains video saying we need to do this for trea, it was awsome
This feels like part of a movie. If they go on to win then it will be.
He was fixed by the Captain...:)...
THE REDEMPTION! LETS GO TREA! KEEP IT GOING! 🔥
Awesome video brother! Liked shared and subscribed!! Glad I found ya, go Phillies and go Trea!
Thanks so much man!!!
My first names Turner and I’m a Philly fan. Never been a better time to be a fan
DUDE. The song selection was fucking great. Loved the video.
Thank you so much man! That means a lot. I thought to add that song last minute and I was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked.
@@bigleagueanalysis love the strokes
Thought the same thing! I’m not familar with either song though, can you share the name of each? Thanks!
@@RebsRock13 What Ever Happened? by The Strokes
@@RebsRock13 the first song is an original beat my friend produced for me. Funny enough he primarily makes indy rock though lol. Second song is What ever Happened by the Strokes from the album Room on Fire
5 game hitting steak since the standing ovation. Not to mention a couple homers
The most optimistic take I can have on Trea this year is this... Given his awful season perhaps the silver lining blessing in disguise, if you will, is that once he comes back to form we'll have a hella a hitter with speed at the bottom of the order because I do not believe in demoting Alec or Brsyon will be a good idea if Trea regains form !!!
Exactly! Like I don’t think he will regain form this season for a big amount of time but he can FOR SURE be a valuable contributor on this teams playoff push/run.
Hes been an absolute monster ever since this @@bigleagueanalysis
Great video bro🔥🔥🔥
Philly fans get trashed nonstop. Admittedly over the years some of that has been deserved. But moments like this illustrate they are actually one of the very best fan bases in the world regardless of sport/country.
Played great for la n Chicago
We may be mean sometimes but us Philly fans always have our players backs
Trea got a taste of Brotherly Love
its beginning to look a lot like red october
This has aged quite well.
This is why baseball has the best fans. It's much more family oriented. Sure, they have more games, so ticket prices are a little lower, generally speaking (plus they have a lot of promo's for people who aren't loaded). When you go to MLB games, there are TONS of kids. Go to a NFL or NBA game......not even close to the number of kids at MLB games. NBA and NFL games get into that "attack the other team" mode, where it's not about cheering on your team, but about running the other team down, screaming and cussing at refs, players, coaches, other fans......You just don't see that happen nearly as much at MLB games.
I think we should all give James harden a standing ovation
THIS CONTINUES TO AGE WELL LETS GO TREA!!!
I was about to say that he’s now batting above league average
And it just keeps on aging well!!
I’m a Mets Fan and hate your guts but I really respect this season and managing to beat the Braves ass consistently in the post-season
Very cool story.
Castellano on the rise from last year and Turner slowly coming on this year
And Bohm! Philly fans picked him up last year with a standing O after he owned his "I fucking hate this place" comment. This year he's been one of their best offensive players.
Just like Casty last year, we can forgive a lot in Philly if he gets hot at the right time
how do you not mention that bat toss?
Don’t add music to moments like this, let the crowds cheers ring
I definitely understand that perspective man! I weighed both and personally preferred the music but I see your take.
Regular season don’t mean💩Post is all people remember 💯
This is why this city created ECW
I was at that game
Didn't mention the board or why the standing ova
uploaded before billboard.
he just hit a walkoff today lol
Relax, new team jitters is always part of the game. How long you been watching baseball?
There’s a big difference between new team jitters and the stark regression he had. Going to a new team alone doesn’t make you go from one of the best to one of the worst everyday players at your position in the game. Harper and Casty had down first years in Philly but nothing close to this
What redemption he went 1-4 yesterday! Boooooo
it was more referring to the cool moment of the homer but I mean 1-4 with a 2B is not bad.
@@bigleagueanalysisit’s a .250 average clown hahaha
@@JoshSimpson47😂 next time say you've never watched or played baseball
@@JoshSimpson47you got that 1920s baseball analysis going bro
Always a d-bag trolling a wholesome post
he'll never live up to that contract. not even half of it. it's good to be a dodger fan.
sounds like sour grapes to me
I mean going against minor league pitching helps know your baseball. They really do let anybody create a page because they don’t wanna leave mommy’s basement and work like a real man does
Royals we’re on a 7 game win streak before this series. You obviously don’t know baseball at all😭
@@FutRatFc Josh you're on youtube at 10:00am criticizing someone. Maybe look in the mirror bud :)
Ah yes and real men definitely go out of there way to cry on the internet lmao
Loser energy bro
@@uolegullook3847 it’s called break time BUD
Phils never shouldve signed mitten boy. There was a reason L.A. let him go. And we are the suckers who took him.
