If people harp on us for booing Santa 50+ years ago, going wild after the Super Bowl win, among other notable instances, we should get just as much attention for essentially fixing Trea's year. It was all mental for him, his struggles. Giving him that Standing O showed we cared about him, we backed him, and he went off

All thanks to the Philly captain for starting the idea for the standing O'. It's been so fun to watch this August

If Harper and Turner get going at the same time, watch out.

Kruk called that 3 run bomb

Best sports city in the country argue with a wall

  • @judybrown1624

If I'm not mistaken, he took the blame for a loss in a post-game interview (rightfully so) and that's when we started supporting instead of booing. Like with Bohm last season, we reward honest and humility.

Hopefully this continues into September and hopefully into October

I've never seen a player become so good again so quickly, and I think this is the story of the year in the MLB. You never know what's going through a player's head, after all they're nothing more than humans that are just super talented. Sometimes a little extra push can really be the difference maker

  • @philly_sports1558

Hopefully this shows that Philly fans truly are some of the greatest and most passionate fans in sports. But please keep mentioning the drunk guy who ran on the field dressed up as a fictional Christmas character at an Eagles game 55 years ago to fuel your agendas.

My dad and I were at the game with the Standing O. Both of us seasoned Philly sports fans who hadn't heard the internet chatter about doing it, we expected the city to show its love the only way it's ever known how: with an onslaught of boos and jeers. We were both pleasantly surprised when everybody started standing up and cheering and figured we might as well join in.

that called bomb from kruk was outstanding! love it

It's amazing what a man can do with some support

  • @BryceHarper3.

We love Trea ever since he got here. Yeah he had a very slow start but everyone, even Mike Trout, can go through a slump. And ever since that standing ovation Turner has been on fire. We don’t regret signing him in the slightest. He’s a great guy and a great ball player and he proves both of these everyday he’s on the field.

Trea is a type of player that you feel good about supporting because he is unassuming, classy on and off the field, and super talented. Not a Philly fan, but how can you not be a Trea fan? He is awesome to watch. Smooth swing, great speed, and has risen to the occasion to turn around a season that didn’t start as anticipated. The man is finishing strong. I was sorry to see him leave the Dodgers (my team), but happy for his success.

    see what positivity can do

  • @jacrispy8008

We’re all human at the end of the day, We recognized Trea needed our support and thankfully he received it well

  • @soil1985

    Trea Turner is looking great.

  • @toxicmoldmedia

Every player goes through a slump. There is no way you can play an entire season and not struggle at some point. Trea is "turning" that into momentum and is becoming a complete slugger. Phillies are dangerous when things start heating up for them. Watch out.
