  • In this video I detail how to chain multiple hits in a row in Red(Strong) stance. The rules are simple:
    1. You can only do a maximum of three attacks in a row.
    2. Your first attack determines the follow-up directions you can swing from.
    3. Excluding rule 5, you can only swing one direction Clock-wise or counter clock-wise from the swing you just did(for example, if you swing from the left you can either swing forward left or backward left next).
    4. After your first swing, you can immediately swing from that direction again as the second hit in your combo.
    5. You can do "delayed" right attacks from any direction regardless of the swing you just did, provided you haven't reached your maximum of three attacks(for example, you can do a left side attack and then do a "delayed" right side attack)

    That's so wild how deep the combat can get. I love this series so much and I'm pretty surprised how well the console remasters play. Really thought it'd be a waste without a mouse & key board. Thanks for all the work, this game is a notch above most

      I'm currently practicing a lot with all styles so I can give accurate information on Yellow, Blue and Staff/Duals. This video didn't even cover red tactics, just how to do combos in red. I plan on making detailed guides, but first I have to perfect my game vs the best players so I can give the most meta advice.
      I'll try uploading some duels were I use yellow.

      @@Mon3yman228 i heard that man, i’m just trying to get the basics down of always landing my hits, blocking every hit and knowing which stance to use based on like if it’s 1v1 or 1v multiple enemies

    • @Mon3yman228

      @@youngmoneyclutch idle blocking with a saber only works on PC JA+ modded servers and isn't something you should rely on. Footwork and movement are what you should focus on for offense and defense especially on base JA/console version.
      Learning to compensate for lag will improve your game a ton, it's going to be my next video. Basically you have to aim and react faster then what you see(rough example: if they are running at you from 5 ft away, you need to aim and swing as if they were 3 ft away).

    Can you parry and if so. Im on console and that would really help me not jump so much online.

    • @Mon3yman228
      @Mon3yman228  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Parrying is accomplished when two sabers clash with equal "power"(e.g yellow vs yellow, but red can sometimes clash with blue depending on when/how the sabers collide). To parry, you hold or press the attack button, the direction your moving when your press/hold will determine the swing you do. For example, if two sabers clash at the same time and your moving forward while holding the attack button down, you will do an overhead attack instantly.
      On console this can only be done when you both swing your saber. On PC there is a vary popular mod called JA+(JA eternal is the modern version) that introduced a console command called "Saber_Touch On", what this meant is your saber is always considered in motion, even when your standing still. Because of this, you can block attacks with your saber while in idle stance and do parries too. Its a really cool mechanic that adds a lot of depth to the game. Because of your comment, I'll make a video on parrying to explain it better,

      I think I understand the bars now. The blue is faster but weaker attacks. The yellow is medium speed attacks with a little more damage than the blue and the red is the most powerful attacks but the slowest. Am I close?

    • @durema9720
      @durema9720 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cambell9 Actually yellow is fastest and blue is your average balanced stance. Hence why it can sometimes parry red style attacks. Yellow is hard to play and usually people use double swords because it involves a lot of dancing around your opponent and sometimes playing with environment and being overall super oppressive because they can't really block your hits. Red stance usually a beginner choice because it has good damage( an direct overhead on the head can one shot you) and isn't too complicated.

    • @Masupups
      @Masupups 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cambell9 You nailed it. Blue to Red, fast to slow, weak to strong. It's a great system of balancing that goes even further with other saber types and is certainly more complex than I just explained.

    Right, it only works for right side, cause all the characters in the game are right handed. Talk about lack of diversity.
    Just gaffing, cool video, never knew how much complexity is in this game, makes me wanna do a playtrough where i don't actually use the dismemberment cheat, and engage in the actual combat.
