I love the accessibility options in this game. I have poor coordination/reflexes due to some personal issues. I have a hard time with games like this normally. The lower difficulties make it a lot better for me and it even has slow motion mode. You can literally slow battles down to give yourself more time to react. Every game like this should have that option. I can actually enjoy the game without getting overwhelmed. It's awesome.
I'm sad that simple attack button mashing works in both games much more effective than those fancy animations they put into "skills". I hated that fact, and despite numerous playthroughs of Fallen Order I couldn't get the game to just let me use those higher skills all that much. Here and there, but not often enough to end up playing that way. The enemy usually just subverts skills and you end up jumping around like a damn fool hoping to position yourself with enough space to fire off an animation. Slow Mode in Survivor, however, gave me a chance to actually use those fancy animations they stuff into skills. Went back to Fallen Order just this week and remembered how damn clunky the controls and response time that game is by comparison. Slow Mode in Survivor gives the game time to actually work properly, and I can now use those fancy but otherwise useless animations they pretend are skills. It's quite fun to see them. It's fakery, sure, but the game attack function isn't very effective using them. lol
Lol I actually did that for the arena medals in horizon forbidden west just put it on story so I could get the medals easy then switch it back after I got them xd
If you look around the cave there are bones that you can throw at the Rancor that get stuck in its mouth and stagger it for a few seconds. Very helpful and an awesome reference to the original trilogy
I died so many times trying that. He almost always got a hit in before I could throw it and the ONE time I got to work, he broke it before I had time to react to the fact that it finally worked.
Huge tip for Spawn of Oggdo, if you clear out the enemies above the trap door, there are two enemies with big hammers overlooking the trap door on the cliff right above/behind it that'll be staring down at you. If you hold down force pull for ~3s, it'll pull them off of the cliff edge, and you can lure them onto the trap door before triggering the door and double jumping back out. They'll drop into the pit and start fighting that damn frog, and take out a pretty decent chunk of his HP before you jump down to finish the job. It made my fight with him way easier, I probably would have just waited and come back later if I didn't figure that out. Notes: - The timing on the double jump after you trigger the trap door to drop the hammer dudes into the pit is a little tight, but it's not too bad. - The harder part of this is pulling both hammer dudes. I found it reliable to pull the guy on the right off first, from a bit right to the pit when looking at them. He'll swing at you, and if you dodge past him and look back up the guy on the left should have moved to the position the guy on the right was, or at least moved towards the ledge more, and then you can hopefully have the timing to pull him before the first hammer guy hits you again. But yeah if you pull the guy on the left first, I think the guy on the right runs to some other area or something idk I didn't end up getting up there
@gameranx if Jedi Survivor gets a "things you might've missed" video, I would suggest the different wavelengths for the lightsabers. They have distinct noise pitches and those are caused by the vibration put off by the blade. You can actually see the waveform along the blade.
I’m not, in any way, what one would consider a Star Wars fan. I played Fallen Order when it was on sale or something and just loved it as a great, fun game. So I’m really looking forward to this. I also appreciate that it’s a Soul’s Like with difficulty levels, so you can have fun even if you aren’t super good at the combat! 😎
If you want the best of Star Wars (in the opinion of the 53-year-old who saw the first one over 100 times at the theater when it came out), watch Rogue One, and the Disney+ shows The Mandalorian and also Andor. Skip the rest of the Disney stuff. Just my opinion. But I have to add that because of a lot of the crap Disney has doled out I really had lost my taste for Star Wars. Then I played fallen order and remembered exactly why I loved it in the first place. And the scene towards the end with Darth Vader... Probably the best depiction of why he was so scary and dangerous in the first place. Really amazing scene.
One thing to note about the rancor fight is that there are bones on the ground. 3 by my count at least. If you force grab one and throw it at the mouth, it'll give you a few seconds to gets some hits in. I have only found it works once thou.
So there is actually another "easy" Stim crate you can find on Koboh, in the forest region, when you come across a Wampa like creature near a High Republic Rumor location, go up the curved wall after beating him. on the path to the right, take the right fork and its on a ledge overlooking the area
Yeah, the Mire Terror rumor, Mosey may give you that task. Actually, these rumors are just a smart way to encourage the player to explore the worlds and finding all secrets.
I highly, HIGHLY recommend using blaster stance to fight Rancors because it gives a great way to deal some damage at a safe distance. Just make sure to close the distance every now and then to do some melee damage to replenish your ammo
For anyone who has trouble with the frog one. When he charges do not try to dodge it! DOUBLE JUMP AND YOULL AVOID IT 100%. Then for his tongue do the same thing. And his unblockable attack after his two bites can only be dodged. Throw in some saber throws here and there and he’s hella easy
With the Rancor you can use the force to put bones lying around into its mouth, a callback to Luke fighting one. When you do it leaves it open to attack. Also the respec skill points is only free for the first time you use it, after that it’ll cost 1 skill point to respec them all.
A highly underrated skill is the jumping slash attack in single bladed stance (Jump + triangle). It actually does a ton of damage and doesn’t use up that much force, so you can just spam it when you need to. It will usually either destroy an enemy’s guard completely or do a ton of damage
Just a minor note. You can actually very easily have 3 stims before getting to Rambler's Reach and fighting the Rancor. There's a stim crate on Coruscant right next to the Undercity Meats mediation point. From the meditation point just look around for a wall with markings on it that you can jump up. There's a KX droid you have to fight but there's a stim crate straight ahead after jumping up that wall.
A tip for the rancor: if you die save grabbing you’re previous xp on the reset until you’re low on health and force, pick it up then it’s a free full heal and get a force regen without using any stem!
@@redpassionmark4113 don’t think you can try that on Grand Master difficulty unfortunately. Every attack from the rancor until you’re much higher level is an instakill.
How Falcon pronounces Koboh is so funny. I’ve heard him pronounce it in at least two separate ways, neither of which are the way every single other reviewer has pronounced it 😂 Absolutely fantastic tips though. The best I’ve seen in any tips and tricks video yet!
I finished the game in Jedi Master some days ago. This video has great recommendations, specially the one about using the precision evade. Precision evade and parries are the bread and butter of the actual combat of the game. The force powers are for getting out of tight spots or crowd control.
For the Spawn of Oggdo, there are two raider enemies on a platform just above the droid platform with the priorite trap. You can pull both of them to you, then move around the trap so that they follow you. When they are both standing on the trap, jump on it to open it and immediately jump back to avoid falling in. This will open the trap, they will both fall down into the pit. They will fight with the Spawn of Oggdo and bring it to 10-20% health, after which you can drop down with a sneak attack and execute the boss. And that's how I beat it in Jedi Master difficulty.
One of my favorite things about this game is that nothing feels forced-no pun intended. Just exploring the map gives you plenty of priorite, data discs, and scrolls. I completed 80% of the game on my first play through (which I thought was relatively high) all because the game was fun. Additionally, I figured a lot of this list out just by being curious in the game. I wish I liked replaying games more, because this one was incredibly enjoyable.
For the Oggdo fight pull the guards from the top level above the clankers using the force I to the pit and once they deal enough damage jump in and finish it.
Force Slow also works on scavenger bots. That's the safest and easiest way to approach them and is basically a guaranteed hit. Approaching slowly and then throwing, there is a chance of missing or accidently causing it to start running away before you get the change to throw.
Idk why more people don’t talk about this but if you’re in ng + you can equip both the perks fortitude and and purity, this will effectively make you 1 hit but you can take bosses down in like 2-4
For Oggdo, if you jump over the opening roof at the beginning, some of the droids will fall in and start the fight. Then pull the two hammer dudes that are on the ledge above the roof to the area where you are, run around the roof hole until they are opposite you, then pull them halfway across the hole and let go. Then you jump in, and Oggdo is occupied with more than just you.
Spawn of oggdo’s move set looks almost identical to oggdo boggdo’s, you can’t be defensive when fighting him. If you’re keeping your distance and dodging an enemy with fast unblockable chase attacks with insane tracking, you’re asking to get wrecked. You gotta stay in close, be aggressive, and PARRY.
Number three was in the original too, and it didn't seem very useful BUT! Once you mastered it you became unstoppable! I saw people using it and it a very OP move to be honest, hard to use but incredibly rewarding
The Jedi gods have blessed me my gaming friends 🙌🏻 It’s supposed to rain in my area for the next 2 days so I am “forced” to take work off 😁 Great as always Falcon 💙 🦅
1:10 im 3/4 through my first play-through and have since gotten the ability from Merrin to jump through green walls. I had NO IDEA you could use jedi mind trick to get them to open the laser gate. That is so cool. Wish i saw this earlier!
above the trap door to the frog there are these Bedlem smashers, if you force pull them down to your level and lure them over the trap door you can go onto the trap door itself and jump in the last possible second to stay up while the smashers fall down and deal alot of damage to the frog (sometimes they deal less sometimes more it depends on luck) and then it is much easier to finnish off
You can also wait until the door opens then stand at the edge of the door facing the pit and force pull them down one at a time (be sure to be ready to block their instant attack) and they'll each just fall into the pit. Have fun watching them beat on froggy from safety above.
I played fallen order on Jedi master and I'll be playing this on Jedi master. Fallen order was a great experience and I'm expecting this to be the same if not better.
Spawn oggdo it rough as well, but the easiest thing to do, get the timing right on normal parry attacks (he will spam it) will parrying, hold triangle on blaster stance and use it to interrupt, , pair that will howling push, and I am assuming upgrade pull can also interrupt. It doesn't trivialize it, but it helps. And his one shot tongue grab is easy to dodge, it barely reaches halfway across the arena, and he usually jumps to one end of the other before he does it.
Just a heads up. For number 8. You can have 3 stims at that point. I'm not entirely sure why I have 3, but I did get one stim canister chest, but I started out with 2 base.
@@sdottwal Man, I swear for the life of me I cannot tell you why I started off with two stims haha. I swear I only picked up one stim canister on Coruscant.
More tips: 1. If you have the upgrade to force lift heavy enemies, you can use it to lift and push enemies off who would otherwise resist it, like the heavy lightning hammer enemies. 2. You can do a final blow on most human sized enemies when you use force drop on them. 3. You can use the AOE force pull(L2+R2) in the middle of a combo and keep the combo going after. 4. You can do a non directional evade in the middle of a combo and keep the combo going. 5. With the dual sabers stance, you can follow up the L1+ Square attack skill that makes you swipe and evade with the Hold Square flurry skill. 6. You are invincible while activating Force Slow. 7. The 2 heavy hammer guys above the door to Oggdo is on eof the best ways to farm for skill points. You can force pull down each one individually.
Number 4 was one of the first things I did because I had 11 Pirorite shards by the time I got to the shop, Edit: Number 3 for some reason I always thought it was a thing in Jedi fallen order so I was used to it, and Number 2, easy way to beat spawn of Poggio, use the blaster stance and use charged shots on his attacks because it cancels them out making it a lot easier That shatter perk sounds like it would be really effective with the new heavy stance For the spawn of Poggio bog do I cheesed him. I found that you can pull the bigger enemies with the force pull ability and know them into the pit. You have two of them that can be sent into the pit. After they fell in and died. I jumped in and finished him off. Also for the charged attack, I would double jump and dash and he would always miss me The best way to beat Rancor is to be close to him so he never does the bite and the shockwave. Parry his attacks it's super easy and make sure you are using dual wield so it will help in case you miss a parry(more block) If you struggle with the Rancor you can lure him to the ledge you first jump down from and climb back up you can hit him from there by throwing your light saber, it takes a little longer but you won't die. Precision dodge was a skill in the first game. Nice to see it return Strat for the brave of heart on rancor fights, you can actually get so close under its arms that it'll start missing you if you strafe to the left and hold block for safety. Best of luck y'all the combat is so smooth and I haven't even gotten any new stances yet, how the double-bladed works with doing longer swings are so much better than in fallen order A few more: - More than Force pull, the Force push is really huge near cliffs. Certain enemies would be a nightmare (looking at you, yeti shit) that can just be deleted off the cliff. - Grenades can overturn the tide of a bad fight. There are certain points where you face dangerous enemies and might be tempted to deal with the weaker droids before taking on the bigger foes. It's not necessarily ideal since the grenade they'll occasionally toss is very powerful and can clean them for you! Regarding Oggdo and the Rancor, I'd go further and advise you not to face them if you don't have a relatively low xp bar. Once you go into that pit there's no escape, and if you die twice before recovering your body you'll lose all that experience that you painstakingly built until then... For number three, precision dodge was a thing in fallen order it was a perk on the skill you had to unlock My favorite feature by far is confusion. I’ve already done that in Fallen Order, keeping my distance so the animals and imps take each other out, this game makes that so much easier 😭Could I say a little detail I love from Survivor when you pull enemies or chests upwards dirt and pebbles get pulled up as well and I love it 1. If you have the upgrade to force lift heavy enemies, you can use it to lift and push enemies off who would otherwise resist it, like the heavy lightning hammer enemies. 2. You can do a final blow on most human-sized enemies when you use force drop on them. 3. You can use the AOE force pull(L2+R2) in the middle of a combo and keep the combo going after. 4. The 2 heavy hammer guys above the door to Oggdo are one of the best ways to farm for skill points. You can force pull down each one individually. You can still Parry the Rancor's attacks, as long as they aren't the Unblockable red ones. Use the Dual wield stance if you are trying to beat it early because you can cancel your attack into an instant parry. Also Slight mistake in the video. Respect is only free once, after that it costs you skill points. Also, I believe Precision dodging can only be done if you are not holding a direction, you have to do just a raw dodge. Tip for Spawn of Oggdo, Get the upgrade that gives you force back when you use a stim, and keep your distance and just throw your lightsaber a lot. It'll make it easier, though it is still the hardest fight on Kobo for sure You can defeat the frog in the beginning if you eliminate the droids, then force-pull the 2 Hammer Guys standing above you, and then drop in the cave with them … you‘ll just have a few hits left My jaw dropped at number 10 because I’d already been up there casually exploring and walked away because “the dialogue was cute” and didn’t think anything else of it It's so awesome to hear Falcon excited about a game!
The super easiest way to beat the Rancor is to jump down then immediately climb back out and then just stand the focus on the Rancor and throw your lightsaber at him until he is dead
Actually I have heard from Daniel Owen video last night. That a 7900xtx is better than a 4090. This game is cpu bottlenecked, and Nvidia drivers taking some cpu power to run as compared to AMD.
Spotted Padawan user. On GM Rancor oneshots you outside of non red ground stomps. And it's actually better to parry everything. It will also obliterate his guard stance. Some additions. 3) Perfect dodge works against ranged attacks too. Also, in Survival tree there is a skill, when you hold Dodge button, you perfect dodge everything (though, it consumes Force, not generates it). 2) You can cheese spawn. After you get Dash ability and return to Koboh, near that door there will be two Smashers. Big raider dudes. They will be on upper level but by clicking Pull (not holding it) they will drop down to you. Then just lure them into the center platform, activate it and jump out. They will obliterate the Spawn, so you can just drop in an one click it.
In tip #8 you should have mentioned that there are several large bones scattered around the Rancor cave that you can can use force pull on to pick them up and force push on to wedge in between the jaws of the rancor when its mouth is open. This allows you to get serval free hits in.
The spawn of oggdo is easier if you don’t lock onto it. Jumping around with no lock and blaster stance makes short work out of him. It even works for the trial where you have to take out two of them at the same time though force abilities definitely help out there
I'm sure a modder will do that, there's already plenty of mods buffing the living shit outta force powers in Fallen Order, but chucking stormtroopers off a cliff is hilarious
the combat is so smooth and i havent even gotten any new stances yet, how the double bladed works with doing longer swings is so much better than in fallen order
So i know you guys are on top of it, but could the best game centric channel out there plz dig up all the info you could and produce a video for Armored Core VI, I just watched trailer for it, and I got hit hard in my nostalgic gland, game looks bonkers good
I know this is coming a bit late and people who have been playing for awhile probably already realized it, but it could still be beneficial to newer/ish players. You can always combo your attacks/stances. Example, dual wield stance use back step slash, uncoiled strike, immediately switch to dual bladed and hit vortex dive or gathering tempest. Force lift/quick draw is always fun too.
Cal Kestis is such a great character. Love how he has respect for BD-1. Like he considers him an equal. BD is an integral part of the story. Rarely do characters acknowledge how important droids are.
Can't wait to play this but did people really not use the dodge mechanic in the first game? I basically only used that, I didn't actually bother blocking until the boss fight against the former jedi as it was much harder to pull off and didn't feel as effective as just dodging.
A few more : - More than Force pull, the Force push is really huge near cliffs. There are certain enemies that would be a nightmare (looking at you, yeti shit) that can just be yeeted off the cliff. - Grenades can overturn the tide of a bad fight. There are certain points where you face dangerous enemies and might be tempted to deal with the weaker droids before taking on the bigger foes. I just started playing the game, and had a note for anyone else who maybe hasn't played it yet. "2 stims tops" for the rancor fight? There's actually a stim cannister on Coruscant near the UnderCity Meats meditation point. Just jump up the wall close by, fight a security droid and there it is. Also, I made sure to use my first 3 skill points on stim upgrades.
My jaw dropped at number 10 because I’ve already been up there casually exploring and walked away because “the dialogue was cute” and didn’t think anything else of it
Could I just say a little detail I love from Survivor is when you pull enemies or chests upwards dirt and pebbles get pulled up as well and I just love it
I can't take the light saber serious wile its the most dangerous weapon in the universe but it just can't cut anything until you swing it 100 times like a rusty old medieval sword.... 😂😂😂 I can cut things barehanded by swinging my hands 100 times on it for sure😂😂😂
Definitely like the recommendation about difficulty. I’ve been playing exclusively on Jedi Grandmaster from the beginning, and it’s awesome. I die a lot, but have had no trouble consistently progressing. I’ve been playing a lot of Sekiro and Sifu lately; if you can handle those, you can handle this. I tried switching to normal difficulty just to grind a bit, but it’s so boring. I barely have to try. I was having trouble getting skill points at first because I’d die so quick, but then I git gud, and now I can at least recover my XP before dying again almost every time. Normally I find grinding annoying and tedious, but I’m actually finding it a fun way to practice and git gudder.
My favorite feature by far is confusion. I’ve already done that in Fallen Order, keeping my distance so the animals and imps take each other out, this game makes that so much easier 😭
I haven't scrolled through all the comments, but there is another way to beat the Rancor: Outside of the room, past the stone pillars, there is a ledge, and near the ledge a number of the exploding plant mouth things growing. You can repeatedly force pull one, lure the rancor close, and push the exploding plant into the rancor, dealing damage. Once your force energy depletes, you do have to wait for it to rebuild, and the entire process does take time, but also works.
The precision dodge is just not moving when dodging, don’t touch the analog stick or WASB when dodging at the right moment and it’s a much better dodge. Although you can’t dodge the splash damage unblockables like that.
Took me about an hour and 45 minutes to finally defeat the Rancor on the second highest difficulty lol. Didn't think to lower difficulty for that bout, but momma didn't raise no punk. Truthfully it was pretty satisfactory after finally winning
this is good advice Bird Dude, I'm old (64) and just getting back in gaming. I also Rage Quit 😖 the idea I can change Difficulty is amazing, say Hi to the Fam at SpaceX,
Strat for the brave of heart on rancor fights, you can actually get so close under its arms that it'll start missing you if you strafe to the left and hold block for safety. Best of luck y'all
For the Spawn of Oggdo fight, use the blaster stance. A charged shot will stun him even if he's mid attack animation. Combine the charged shot with jumping over his unblockables and the fight gets significantly easier
Another top tip for the rancor, if you bring him to the side of the room you enter from and climb your way out, his ai gets stuck and he just stays stood there, free for you to throw your saber at him over and over again
If you struggle with the Rancor you can lure him to the ledge you first jump down from and climb back up you can hit him from there by throwing your light saber, it takes a little longer but you won't die.
You can use the bones throw it on Rancor's face and it will get stuck into it's mouth giving you a window of 2-3 seconds to strike and there are few bones lying around do that 3-4 time and you will easily defeat him.

For number 2 I found out a cheese that you could do to weaken the boss, defeat all the enemies above the trap then pull down 2 of the raiders over looking down on you on the cliff, get them to walk over the trap then activate it and jump off before falling in
I would also add one think. If you have an opportunity to use some help from your teammate just do it. There is an achievement for that (10 helps from each). I replayed the game (fortunatelly just about 3 hours) for this one achievement.
For the frog boy, I used the force pull to bring down 2 hammer guys from the ledge above. Get them on the platform doors and then step on it to drop them down. You have to be careful, as they will not immediately right each other. But if you can dodge and get one to hit the other then they will right. The frog beat both and had about half health when I started fighting
My wierd trick is to equip the double bladed stance, equip either the crossguard or single stance, then use the double bladed lightsabers first attack (the one where you hold it down) to break or massively deplete the guard and then finish them off the powerful strikes of the cross or single bladed stance. Switch your stamce bu using mouse scroll up or down. Hard to do at first but it's a really nifty trick that piles on the damage

Notes:
- The timing on the double jump after you trigger the trap door to drop the hammer dudes into the pit is a little tight, but it's not too bad.

@@tyrellgarvin7815 why is it less weird after playing Fallen Order?
One thing to note about the rancor fight is that there are bones on the ground. 3 by my count at least. If you force grab one and throw it at the mouth, it'll give you a few seconds to gets some hits in. I have only found it works once thou.
I came here to post this
That comes straight from Return of the Jedi when Luke used a bone like that to defeat it.
I beat it at the start so I didn't have this lol
u can also cheese with the lightsaber throw for your second stance since it uses force. good chunk of damage while safely saving health and stims.
Same w the frog 10/10 recommend lol
For anyone who has trouble with the frog one. When he charges do not try to dodge it! DOUBLE JUMP AND YOULL AVOID IT 100%. Then for his tongue do the same thing. And his unblockable attack after his two bites can only be dodged. Throw in some saber throws here and there and he’s hella easy
With the Rancor you can use the force to put bones lying around into its mouth, a callback to Luke fighting one. When you do it leaves it open to attack.
Also the respec skill points is only free for the first time you use it, after that it’ll cost 1 skill point to respec them all.
That bones trick is amazing. Helped me beat the big guy, thanks!!
That's something else it DOES NOT tell you, that's freakin BS, man. I am even less excited now, talk about insult to injury.
@@BlackMoonHowls why do they have to tell you how to play the game… figure it out? Lol
You can only do it once tho
@@JohnClam there are more Rancors.
It's so awesome to hear Falcon excited about a game!

A tip for the rancor: if you die save grabbing you’re previous xp on the reset until you’re low on health and force, pick it up then it’s a free full heal and get a force regen without using any stem!
Yeah that’s what I did. Then when I finally beat him I didn’t get hit once by him smh.
@@redpassionmark4113 don’t think you can try that on Grand Master difficulty unfortunately. Every attack from the rancor until you’re much higher level is an instakill.

How Falcon pronounces Koboh is so funny. I’ve heard him pronounce it in at least two separate ways, neither of which are the way every single other reviewer has pronounced it 😂
Absolutely fantastic tips though. The best I’ve seen in any tips and tricks video yet!

I think it's because Falcon doesn't actually play all of the games he voices videos for. They are often written by behind-the-scenes gameranx people.
@@coolremedy6969 Unfortunate, human error.
A lot of content creators purposely mispronounce things so people will comment on their videos about it.
Jesus, Falcon giving us that good knowledge at the start! Splicing security droids? Hell yeah!
Precision dodge was a skill in the first game. Nice to see it return
I finished the game in Jedi Master some days ago. This video has great recommendations, specially the one about using the precision evade. Precision evade and parries are the bread and butter of the actual combat of the game. The force powers are for getting out of tight spots or crowd control.
The force powers are the primary weapon of a jedi. I think too many forget that and turn Cal into a ghost of tsushima.
And that's how I beat it in Jedi Master difficulty.
thankkssss
One of my favorite things about this game is that nothing feels forced-no pun intended. Just exploring the map gives you plenty of priorite, data discs, and scrolls. I completed 80% of the game on my first play through (which I thought was relatively high) all because the game was fun. Additionally, I figured a lot of this list out just by being curious in the game. I wish I liked replaying games more, because this one was incredibly enjoyable.
2:44 I liked how you can just grab one of the bones and stuck it into Rancor´s mouth just like in the old SW film :D
For the Oggdo fight pull the guards from the top level above the clankers using the force I to the pit and once they deal enough damage jump in and finish it.
My body is ready, and so is my controller.

I second that sentiment. My thumbs are ready to go!!!!

Got a new PS5 controller for this. May the force be with us
Force Slow also works on scavenger bots. That's the safest and easiest way to approach them and is basically a guaranteed hit. Approaching slowly and then throwing, there is a chance of missing or accidently causing it to start running away before you get the change to throw.
Idk why more people don’t talk about this but if you’re in ng + you can equip both the perks fortitude and and purity, this will effectively make you 1 hit but you can take bosses down in like 2-4
Love that these videos normally come out after the game launches, this gives us a heads up for tomorrow, thanks guys!
Looking forward to this in like 5 more hours, and now I know what I need to look out for early. Ty.
Exactly, charge attack could always be dodged if u dodged towards him.
Somehow I knew they would bring OGGDO back. Wouldn't have been a true sequel without him.
Number three was in the original too, and it didn't seem very useful BUT! Once you mastered it you became unstoppable! I saw people using it and it a very OP move to be honest, hard to use but incredibly rewarding
The Rancor was a nightmare on Grand Master, also the blaster/howling push can interrupt unblockables (glowing red attacks)
The Jedi gods have blessed me my gaming friends 🙌🏻 It’s supposed to rain in my area for the next 2 days so I am “forced” to take work off 😁 Great as always Falcon 💙 🦅
The Falcon/Rancor montage made me laugh out loud. All hail to the mighty Falcor 😂
1:10 im 3/4 through my first play-through and have since gotten the ability from Merrin to jump through green walls. I had NO IDEA you could use jedi mind trick to get them to open the laser gate. That is so cool. Wish i saw this earlier!
above the trap door to the frog there are these Bedlem smashers, if you force pull them down to your level and lure them over the trap door you can go onto the trap door itself and jump in the last possible second to stay up while the smashers fall down and deal alot of damage to the frog (sometimes they deal less sometimes more it depends on luck) and then it is much easier to finnish off
They killed him for me
@@tsunamicgenie4732 awesome :D
You can also wait until the door opens then stand at the edge of the door facing the pit and force pull them down one at a time (be sure to be ready to block their instant attack) and they'll each just fall into the pit. Have fun watching them beat on froggy from safety above.
Lol I just commented this before I saw yours
I thought I had completely missed the Rancor part in my game or something because I already had 3 stims early on too🤣
@@sdottwal Man, I swear for the life of me I cannot tell you why I started off with two stims haha. I swear I only picked up one stim canister on Coruscant.

More tips:
Tip for the rancor fight: just change the difficulty to story mode and it’s incredible easy. You can change back after the fight
Thats not the point of playing on a higher difficulty for most people, it's like giving up

With the dual sabers stance, you can follow up the L1+ Square attack skill that makes you swipe and evade with the Hold Square flurry skill. 6. You are invincible while activating Force Slow. 7.
If you played fallen order then you know about precision dodge. It was an outstanding skill in the first game.
The super easiest way to beat the Rancor is to jump down then immediately climb back out and then just stand the focus on the Rancor and throw your lightsaber at him until he is dead
#11 cancel your PC pre orders unless you have a 4090.
Actually I have heard from Daniel Owen video last night. That a 7900xtx is better than a 4090. This game is cpu bottlenecked, and Nvidia drivers taking some cpu power to run as compared to AMD.
#1 Don’t pre-order games. There’s literally no point. Especially on PC. You can buy any game the second it releases now days.
Wasn't there supposed to be a day zero patch released today and a day one patch releasing tomorrow? Any info about that?!
They will obliterate the Spawn, so you can just drop in an one click it.
cant wait im so excited and i love when you upload new videos!
In tip #8 you should have mentioned that there are several large bones scattered around the Rancor cave that you can can use force pull on to pick them up and force push on to wedge in between the jaws of the rancor when its mouth is open. This allows you to get serval free hits in.
Yeah i didnt realise that until i fought him for the 5th time 😂
Fallen Order was the best SW game since Dark Forces 2
The spawn of oggdo is easier if you don’t lock onto it. Jumping around with no lock and blaster stance makes short work out of him. It even works for the trial where you have to take out two of them at the same time though force abilities definitely help out there

I know this is coming a bit late and people who have been playing for awhile probably already realized it, but it could still be beneficial to newer/ish players. Force lift/quick draw is always fun too.

Then comes Jedi: Survivor
This is the first video game/sequel I’ve been excited for in a very long time. Happy gaming everyone.
Can't wait to play this but did people really not use the dodge mechanic in the first game? I basically only used that, I didn't actually bother blocking until the boss fight against the former jedi as it was much harder to pull off and didn't feel as effective as just dodging.
I only dodged if it was an unblockable attack, otherwise I just parried and never really used the block.

They do tell you about precision dodge. It's one of the advanced training missions at the meditation point.
Yup, they also explain that you have to be standing still for it to work. Falcon didn't mention that for some reason.
yeah you could also do it in fallen order lol

I haven't scrolled through all the comments, but there is another way to beat the Rancor:
Outside of the room, past the stone pillars, there is a ledge, and near the ledge a number of the exploding plant mouth things growing. You can repeatedly force pull one, lure the rancor close, and push the exploding plant into the rancor, dealing damage. Once your force energy depletes, you do have to wait for it to rebuild, and the entire process does take time, but also works.
The Nein Numb "yeah yeah yeah" caught me off guard, brilliant
The precision dodge is just not moving when dodging, don’t touch the analog stick or WASB when dodging at the right moment and it’s a much better dodge. Although you can’t dodge the splash damage unblockables like that.
Took me about an hour and 45 minutes to finally defeat the Rancor on the second highest difficulty lol. Didn't think to lower difficulty for that bout, but momma didn't raise no punk. Truthfully it was pretty satisfactory after finally winning
I did 10 through 6 before watching this video and it made me feel like a true gamer
this is good advice Bird Dude,

the idea I can change Difficulty is amazing,
say Hi to the Fam at SpaceX,

This game literally got me into Star Wars😭excited for the sequel
I can NOT WAIT to play this when I get off work!!
You can use the bones throw it on Rancor's face and it will get stuck into it's mouth giving you a window of 2-3 seconds to strike and there are few bones lying around do that 3-4 time and you will easily defeat him.
Number 4 was one of the first things i did because i had 11 pirorite shards by the time i got to the shop , Edit: Number 3 for some reason i always thought it was a thing in jedi fallen order so i was used to it, and Number 2 , easy way to beat spawn of oggdo , use the blaster stance and use charged shots on his attacks because it cancels them out making it alot easier
For number three, presision dodge was a thing in fallen order it was a perk on the skilltree you had to unlock
It does say in the abilities section, "precision evade" unless it was never there before, as I only got the game this week
