I’d love to get my hands on a yellow or orange kyber crystal, but honestly, I think that mine would be green for pretty much every reason you mentioned. Also, Maul did claim the Dark saber, but Sabine didn’t. In legend and cannon, one must defeat the previous wielder of the Dark saber in order to have any legitimate claim to it. Sabine picked it up after Ezra Bridger claimed it. Ever since then, the Dark saber has been little more than a curse because Ezra was lost in another galaxy, and why it eventually was destroyed.
I agree - the colour we get is not necessarily the colour we would pick, or even want either! You are very correct regarding the dark saber! As interesting as it is though, I’d like the series and movies to move away from mandalorians - at least for now for a breath of fresh air.
Very good question! I don’t know much about it, but I do know that it was an era where the Madalorians and Jedi were hated enemies by both, and that this was the age of Darth Revan. If Disney did it right (and I say that because they’ve also screwed up a lot of Star Wars) I think that the Mandalorian wars would be more than a little interesting to watch. I can imagine multiple viewpoints, each with its own unique version of the war, as well as characters and plot twists. I’d be more than willing to watch it! Would you?
Did you know that Luke used three lightsabers? 1: Anakin’s Slayer 9000 2: Fallen temple guard 3: Luke’s personal saber (based off of Ben’s design) And more so, Luke actually synthesized his crystal?
If we were counting the colors from Jedi: Fallen order and Survivor, (In which they are canon) I would have cyan single with blaster for no cracks, and it is cracked, (it doesn't have to be though as Cal Kestis shows us) I'd have a crossguard. (There is no backstory to it, so I'll make one up) The reason why? I would be a survivor of the fallen order, (get it?) therefore I would have a mix of blue and white. Sorry for the long comment.
I always had cyan on the games as I believe it is more “blue” in my mind! I’m going to make a video soon on the different types of lightsaber (cross guard, blaster, standard, staff, dual) etc. it would be a sister clip to this one. Hope you liked it and thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I love it when people take the time to communicate with me!
I’d have possibly green or yellow. I always use yellow in Jedi Survivor for Cal Kestis’ saber. Green for my spirituality and my love for teaching. Although my spirituality is Christian as well as teaching but also includes mentorship for younger coworkers. So probably green.
I’m actually playing through survivor for the first time now (I’m not really a big gamer) and Cal is currently green. Thinking of switching up to yellow though.
i'm going another route, my lightsaber color doesnt have one since i heard about this kyber crystal this crystal is extremely dangerous makes no sound and the blade is invisible the Ghostfire crystal
That’s awesome! Mine does as well although I did always like blue as a kid! I guess as we see with several characters in Star Wars, colours change as we change
In legends there was actually a brown lightsaber wielded by Jedi Ood Bnar. The crystal was named Bnar’s Sacrifice after Bnar was killed during the Old Republic. The crystal could never be used in another lightsaber making it quite unique in several ways!
@@thombli4 thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video. If you have any requests or video ideas let me know in the comments and make sure you subscribe :)
You are correct! The bleeding process requires them to pour all of their dear hatred and anger into the pure crystal, damaging its color beyond repair - hence why it can only be purified back to white!
The blade color of Rey’s new lightsaber in the finale of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was revealed to be yellow. If the redeemed Ben Solo had survived and built a new lightsaber for himself, what blade color would it produce and why?
Great question - he did originally have a blue one, but clearly he was influenced by the dark side. Would we see a purple? (Or is that just reserved in canon for the one and only Mace Windu). He doesn’t strike me as someone who would be a green as he was much more physical than mental.
@@Star_Wars_Noob I can see his lightsaber color returning to blue. It would show he has accepted his place as a Jedi again and if anything he would be reclaiming his status as Guardian. Additionally, blue and yellow are also complementary colors that work well together. The coolness of Ben's blue can balance the warmth of Rey's yellow.
@@Star_Wars_Noob You should definitely make and upload and video to your channel discussing what color Ben Solo would have if he survived the Battle of Exegol with Rey and built a new lightsaber for himself. You would have to read about his past (childhood, Jedi training, Kylo Ren, redemption, etc) so that you can figure it out.
Nice that would be cool! Would you wield two lightsabers with the same hilt or would the be different? Also would they both be the same length or would one be shorter like ahsoka?
Thanks for the advice - I’ll keep that in mind for my next video. I’m just starting out and this was one of my first proper videos. :) hope you enjoyed it though!
Fairly certain his lightsaber got destroyed on geonosis and a fellow Jedi tosses him a green to fight with - that is my only knowledge of Anakin using a green … at least in canon.
Blue: You are eager for battle and are glad whenever you get to fight against a worthy opponent. However, you still know when to use words and when to use action. Green: You are very easygoing, and you rely more on your connection with the Force than anything else in the Jedi Order. However, you will only use your lightsaber as a last resort. Yellow: You hold a good and pious nature within yourself and have a high level of patience and self-control. You also possess a broad array of skills and a deep understanding of the Force, making you a formidable opponent in both physical and intellectual confrontations. Purple: You feel neither the pull towards the Light or Dark, but you will feel the line between the two underneath your feet. You may have had a past dealing with the Dark Side, but you know the danger and pain that it caused. Black: You demonstrate power and authority over others and your uniqueness in a galaxy and universe of unique beings. Cyan: You are curious and always eager to learn more about the Force, but you still have a high want for action in your life and will probably go out of your way to help others in danger. Should the situation call for words or your weapon, you will be fine with both outcomes. Indigo: You possess a unique blend of intuitive wisdom and diplomatic finesse. This means you excel in situations that require subtlety and tact, often resolving conflicts through negotiation and understanding. Magenta: You have darkness in your past, but you are in harmony with your crystal enough to forgo that past and determine your own future. Orange: You are creative, ambitious, and resourceful in any situation. You have a deep appreciation for beauty and aesthetics, using your blade as an expression of your own unique identity and personality. Bronze: You are powerful and use both physical strength and Force abilities, but you associate with individuals who specialize in negotiation and diplomacy. White: You have autonomy over your own actions as well as being pure, independent, and having inner peace. Silver: You have a very calm nature and have a knack for studying and meditating on the Living Force and how it works. Chartreuse: You are determined and have the ability to adapt to ever-changing circumstances in your relentless pursuit of justice. Red: You have inner rage and eagerness to use your passion to its most powerful, embracing your anger and aligning yourself with the dark side of the Force. Vermillion: You have a sense of destiny and are motivated by power, willing to sacrifice others and cause suffering to achieve what you feel is a better future.
A great and detailed bit of research thanks for adding it to the Star Wars Noob databanks so that we can all learn more! The real question is … which color suits you best? While this isn't Canon, I've long held that the Blue blades are for those who follow Jedi tenants without question, while Green blades are for those in the Order (or not, in the case of Luke), who instead of blindly following the rule of The Order, follow instead the path which The Force guides them (like Qui-Gon). Perhaps your art may lead you through the true Path of the Force, and you'd be a green blade wielder.
Yeah I get what you mean - I love the idea that Jedi can be more than this sulky moody warrior monk- instead they can learn all about computers and explosives etc

:) I knew the colors had meanings, and had a basic understanding of some colors, but learned a ton from this :). It's so awesome how there's much diversity in the type of lightsaber colors and meanings too. Blue is one of my favorite colors. So, it's the one that I choose as a gut reaction. It has a lot of great meanings; I especially like how it symbolizes honesty and justice. I wish I was brave. Green is probably my second favorite color for lightsabers. I love what their symbolism too. The ones who wield them definitely reflect the symbolism. Yellow lightsabers are cool and I think it's neat to see them in Star Wars: Acolyte :) :). Makes sense that purple symbolizes balance and a connection between light and dark. I concur that how its symbolism is perfect given the mix of red and blue for purple. I knew about how Sith wielded red lightsabers and it makes sense how it represents anger and power. Red is a strong color and I associate it with strong as well as intense emotions too. I love Ahsoka :). Rebirth and victory over the dark side all remind me of her in different ways (especially with her arc).. The orange ones are cool also. Shin and Baylen (sp?) are awesome characters. Awesome info about darksaber. Black is also a favorite color for me. But blue is my favorite. I'd hope to get blue :). Awesome video!!
"Darkness in the service of the Light." I wonder if, as a servant of Light, with time, your red lightsaber might start to blanch to white as a consequence of the Light Side of the Force from you purifying it... (If you think you'd rather not wield a pink lightsaber, then I'd imagine it wouldn't.)
It makes no sense that the jedi order would wield a rainbow of light sabers. That feels very indulgent and self absorbed, vs the discipline of all wielding the same colored weapon. That feels more suitable to the sith, who are all about selfish expression. Just like it makes sense that it's the sith that would have weird mods like Maul's double-ended light saber. Or wielding two at once like ventress.
Good point. I guess if the Jedi had a choice about their color then they would have the same ones for uniformity. I have a video in the works of different types of lightsabers. It is easy to forget that before maul we had never seen a different type of lightsaber! If you had to choose, what type of lightsaber and what color would you have?
Mind if I go on kind of an oddball angle? Perhaps the rainbow is part of the Jedi Council plan to maintain their control over an order made up of individuals; a deliberate structure to encourage subconscious rivalries between different elements of the Order as a whole. Rather than have those who are truly GREAT and in tune with the purity of The Force (like Qui-Gon) be the ones who ascend to the Council, the ones who *do* end up being elevated are those who do the political games to the satisfaction of the Council. Meanwhile, the Sith show unity in their hatred for the Jedi and need not play those internal political games.
Or a way of keeping an eye on their members - blue yellow green, you’re ok - what’s that master windu… a purple lightsaber? Care to explain yourself 😂 Your theory is better than mine though Jeff haha!
@@jeffanderson8165that is always what I thought and how I believe the sith were defeated by the Jedi. The different colors show the Jedi being able to have different groups be able to exist within the unifying structure of the Jedi and also keep around people even if they aren't pure on the light side. Probably also makes sense how they beat the sith during the time of the high Republic. Even if you weren't purely on the light side of the force, you could get another lightsaber color and still be a Jedi. Meanwhile, the sith pretty much kicked out anyone who wasn't a pure darksider and you had to worry about the rule of 2 essentially establishing that only two sit at a time can survive.

Agreed, but you have to admit that the Mandalorian Arc is both cool and interesting as we’ve only ever seen other views from the point of the Jedi.
The mandalorian arc is very cool - what would you think about a series set during the mandalorian Jedi wars?
Very good question!
I don’t know much about it, but I do know that it was an era where the Madalorians and Jedi were hated enemies by both, and that this was the age of Darth Revan.
If Disney did it right (and I say that because they’ve also screwed up a lot of Star Wars) I think that the Mandalorian wars would be more than a little interesting to watch. I can imagine multiple viewpoints, each with its own unique version of the war, as well as characters and plot twists.
I’d be more than willing to watch it! Would you?
Did you know that Luke used three lightsabers?
1: Anakin’s Slayer 9000
2: Fallen temple guard
3: Luke’s personal saber (based off of Ben’s design)
And more so, Luke actually synthesized his crystal?
@@Star_Wars_Noob I hadn’t played it in months so yesterday I started over again after this video.
Blue is for me. Feels so righteous.
Fancy yourself as a bit of a Jedi guardian then?!
@@Star_Wars_Noob Oh yes
Purple. This is the way.
Nice! How come you would have purple? Are you a mace windu fan?
Cross guard lightsaber or dual wielder,Cyan color as Jedi, Crimson Red as Sith
Nice, I do love a cross guard - just something about it that makes it look so powerful
i'm going another route, my lightsaber color doesnt have one since i heard about this kyber crystal this crystal is extremely dangerous makes no sound and the blade is invisible the Ghostfire crystal
Wow that’s so cool - not heard of that before but just did a little bit of looking into it. Thanks for the heads up Tim!
@@Star_Wars_Noob your welcome
How do you get the First Order assault trooper? I can't find it in the. Character list
On battlefront?
My personality type would give me a green blade which suits me perfectly
That’s awesome! Mine does as well although I did always like blue as a kid! I guess as we see with several characters in Star Wars, colours change as we change
Would be cool if there was a brown colored lightsaber like the desert
In legends there was actually a brown lightsaber wielded by Jedi Ood Bnar. The crystal was named Bnar’s Sacrifice after Bnar was killed during the Old Republic. The crystal could never be used in another lightsaber making it quite unique in several ways!
@@Star_Wars_Noob cool. Didn’t know that
@@thombli4 thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video. If you have any requests or video ideas let me know in the comments and make sure you subscribe :)
Green or yellow for me
Awesome! How come?
I feel like that bleeding a crystal is more Sith than producing one, after all the Sith are all about pain, hatred, and anger.
You are correct! The bleeding process requires them to pour all of their dear hatred and anger into the pure crystal, damaging its color beyond repair - hence why it can only be purified back to white!
Based on the descriptions given I would have got a blue or yellow one
Nice! Are you a healer then?
This might be worth a video to foster discussion!! I love this question!
I’ll get on it as a project - I’ll be sure to let you know and credit you in the description for the idea!
Cyan, Magenta and Indigo are all canon too.
They certainly are - along with silver thanks to Jedi fallen order and survivor.
I would definitely have a cracked purple double bladed Darksaber. I'm just that special and edgy. 🤓
I mean that would be pretty frigging cool!
Orange for me
Nice a little naughty and a little nice 😂
Id pick a white one .
Nice how come?

@@katherinelass2610 how come Katherine?
Being an Engineer and computer programmer will probably prefer Yellow.
Nice choice! I agree - that sounds like a great choice for you!
I like the yellow one
Yellow is pretty cool - and different!
So does Thor. Lol
@@Erics_Corner hahaa I’d forgotten about that!
I took the test and got orange.
Nice! Don’t slip too far to the dark side!
I want to wield one yellow and one purple.
Nice that would be cool! Would you wield two lightsabers with the same hilt or would the be different?
Also would they both be the same length or would one be shorter like ahsoka?
Why is the music so loud? It has a similar volume as your voice-
Thanks for the advice - I’ll keep that in mind for my next video. I’m just starting out and this was one of my first proper videos. :) hope you enjoyed it though!
Orange 😄
Nice! How come?
Anakin had a green blade originally
Fairly certain his lightsaber got destroyed on geonosis and a fellow Jedi tosses him a green to fight with - that is my only knowledge of Anakin using a green … at least in canon.
I would blead then purify my Cristal
Nice? Because it looks cool?
Green.
Nice - how come green is you colour and not red white or blue 😛
Red, orange or green please
the full array depending on whether you’re feeling good or bad haha?
Definitely green
Me too! Great choice

I’d go white.
How come? Just because it looks cool?
I would be white or purple
Nice? Any reason why or do you just like the colour?
I think green is my favourite, but from your descriptions I think I would get silver … which is a color I never thought I would get!

Good for you to find your channel.
Orange.
Nice choice I like the orange as well. Any reason why?
Yellow all the way
Nice choice! How come?
I really like yellow and I like the ideology I think yellow lightsaber wielding Jedi are the prime example of what a Jedi should be.
Yeah I get what you mean - I love the idea that Jedi can be more than this sulky moody warrior monk- instead they can learn all about computers and explosives etc
black always!
Nice! How come?
Black lightsaber or the darksaber?
White is best. All the colors look tacky and cartoonish.
I do like white! I think it looks very cool in the dark
Mine would be pitch black or blood red
Nice - very dark side
I have a fiction character with the surname "Gray."
He frequently tells people, "I am Gray; I am light before the darkness, and darkness before the light."
(Yeah, I know it's too much like Minbari to ever publish, but what the heck, I like the way it rolls off the tongue.)
@@jeffanderson8165 that’s cool - so his color would be gray?
I'm Darth siithis
Hi Alex, thanks for watching and for the continued support!
I think I have a soft spot for green - but as a kid it would have been red!
Mine would be a red stable crossguard light saber and be wielded by jedi (I know some people say it dumb thing but that is my preference)

"Darkness in the service of the Light."
I wonder if, as a servant of Light, with time, your red lightsaber might start to blanch to white as a consequence of the Light Side of the Force from you purifying it...
(If you think you'd rather not wield a pink lightsaber, then I'd imagine it wouldn't.)
@@jeffanderson8165 I prefer to keep red and i'm into legends story now
It makes no sense that the jedi order would wield a rainbow of light sabers.
Care to explain yourself 😂
Your theory is better than mine though Jeff haha!
Black, red, or purple for me.
Nice! What type of lightsaber would it be though? Single, double, long, short?
orange light sabers are frauds. not cannon 🤣 or something...

@@jeffanderson8165 potentially! Like a slow and steady decent that even they are not aware of until it is too late.
