He was riding on reverse! Motors should be on the back... Should have change direction of bindings and ridden it the right way
Both ways actually. If you watch carefully, he was riding on reverse some of the times and other times forward. But yeah, he rode it mostly in reverse. We only had a short time to play and experiment with the sample provided by the manufacturer, so we couldn't really modify the bindings or anything like that.

Do you not understand how equipment stores function? They get demo units to test for their sales people then promote the product. Welcome to the real world of retail...
cameraflyer I don't know this particular board but I would assume you can just unscrew them and the board should have several holes for different configurations (regular/gooffy)
I was the owner of such a model and I strongly declare that this model is bad enough for off-road driving because the battery with wires is located under the board. The belts from the wheels to the electric motors are not protected. Because of the jumps, the bottom of the battery box bent, the bolted fastening of the box began to play. Due to foreign objects falling on the belts, they often flew off and with a strong tightening they quickly wore out. There were cases when the belts were torn. There was one wire damage. And because of the dirt, the switch on the board was clogged, the belts were clogged.
In general, this design of the electric board has a huge set of problems and it seems that the developers of this model live in their own pocket and do not quite understand the nuances of off-road driving. Anyway, I personally can recommend this model only for asphalt driving and light jumps, while moving carefully from high curbs as you can hook the curb with the bottom.

Yes you can switch the straps, but you have to drill the holes yourself. And remove battery to get to all the bolts. I did that with mine, but later decided t ok do away with straps altogether. They really give you alot more control, but......its fast and would be catastrophic to crash with feet strapped in....imo. love mine.no issues.

Death Trap.. but a tempting one
Guys “bindings” or foot-straps, or whatever you would like to call them are necessary for a mountain board. You need them to keep the board under your feet when rolling over huge tree limbs, or if you need to jump over something. But I feel you guys, I took them off my first mountain board then put them back on a week later when I realized that I need them to control the board in the woods, or on a very sharp incline or decline. Trust me.
thats not a "suspension system" bro. they are centering springs for the trucks. basically they serve the same purpose as the center bushing on normal skate trucks. the springs dont "suspend" anything, so its not suspension.
the Platform used is called a mountain board, and people have been building diy E Mountain Boards for a while before all these Products like boost. but yeah this thing looks sweet!! for only 500!? oh and the springs on the trucks are not suspension they are called channel trucks usually springs with a rubber dampener in the center I Know with mbs boards you can get different rubber soft medium and Hard soft you can turn easier but will not handle speed as well Medium is good for a little bit of both Hard is for bombing Just going straight and fast.

boosted board killed themselves with overpricing, and going from a top spec longboard to using cheap chinese parts and increasing the price to boot!! what a shame
After couple weeks I am happy. .. still can't reach top speed because to scary. ..but I was going 32kmh on half second level of speed it was to scarry for me. .... in ride in 1 and 2nd level of speed combo I reach 23km at one single recharge. .. average speed was 15kmh ... prity good I think. ... when you going on first level of power (speed)you can easily reach about 25-30km because engines go 15kmh easy. .. I have 110kg and for bord that is NO PROBLEM !!!! I belive that I will reach almost 40kmh in couple weeks
Only thing that's wrong is that battery recharge more than 3 hours ... 5-6 needed. .. but that is fine for me
Just take it slow and easy - never go faster than what you're comfortable with; you'll get used to it in time!
I wouldn't use the bindings. If you need to bail in an emergency, you're screwed. But that aside it looks awesome :)

I just bought the trucks, wheels, and motor kit of this. I'm going to use 10s4p sanyo 20700b cells and an old ESC I have with a loaded banghra deck.

Detailed, honest of the flaws of the product and how it affects performance with visual examples and solutions, non obtrusive music and a calm host. Seriously this advertisement is so helpful compared to 9/10 of the usual bike alternative product ads.
And it helps that the product looks perfect. Do I need to learn how to ride a regular skateboard before i try this?

owned that. not very good. there are a lot of issues. sudden power loss, gears and axis not centered, making uneven noise, flawed design because the gears on the wheels are touching the board on aggressive turns, the battery is dying without any notification, very unstable, and the last but most important, one wheel popped out when driving the skateboard. there are also some positive aspects. fun to drive, very powerful when working, pretty comfortable, high speed (about 40 km/h).
Thanks for the feedback. Are yo0u sure it was exactly the same brand and model? I'm asking because I've seen other brands and even DIY kits producing very similar board, but some of the components were not the same. So I've seen very positive reviews and others that were more on the negative side like yours.
GeekBuying yes the skateboard it's identical, although i bought it from a local store. I have also some pictures with the skateboard and the loose wheel. I will try to upload the pictures somewhere if anyone curious enough.

Not sure how anyone can take you guys seriously when the board was being ridden in reverse.
Maybe you can't, but I think people can. As you can see he was able to ride it quite well even in reverse.
We had the sample only for a short time so we couldn't change the position of the binding during that time, hence the reverse riding.
Technically reverse is just a bit in the software, the left motor is just the right motor reversed..Depends how the board handles the reverse option. I can make my Evolve go 40Km/h in reverse with an Arduino and a RF24 module just by sending 1 packet. You might argue in this case a forward pull is better/more stable then a back push in the case of rough terrain...

How does it work for breaks? Like if you are going downhill will the board go faster than your telling it to? Or can it slow down?
I saw in another video, that you set the strength of the braking on the controller,
just like you can with motor power. How it works, I don't know,
but considering the speed, any braking that isn't just my foot is welcome 😋.

a pole, breaks with computer really reliable and that will be allowed to drive (just an app to put max 20km/h when we are on the roads) in Switzerland. I hope it s really light and no horrible remote control with back and front lights for night drive. will see the next version !

Im not being paid for this and i did not buy mine from these guys.......I live in China so bought it here.....it cost me 2700 rmb on the 11/11 sale.......It was slightly different..... plain deck...and had a sturdy 4 bar engine protector, on the back.... its strong and great for lifting the front over gutters..first thing i did was remove foot straps....easy to do....couple of spanners and allan keys......i was a little concerned about the turning circle but its fine...its a little stiff at first but comes good after a bout a week......this thing carves.....
Steep hills no but grassed hilly areas awesome.......
Concreted and paved bumpy areas is what this thing is really built for but i have heaps of fun on grassed sections too...
And for 3 weeks now...im still only riding it on low....havnt even felt the need to put it on high power yet.....
Buy one...truly worth it ...and buy a helmet too.

im still riding mine ...its awesome...i still only ride on low speed...its enough......has stood the test of time...at least my one has.....i still ride it engine at front and engine at back....for the price its fantastic...

Riding with motors in front has some advantages in my opinion! 1. ESC gets more air flow. 2. Less dust in the drivetrain. 3. Maybe better friction while breaking? Only downsides at this board I can see are, the ESC's arent waterproof, and the limited ground clearence! I have found a SYL-09 which has a much flatter battery box! But seems to have less power than the SYL-08, and I havent found any informations about the capacity of this flat Battery! I guess the downside of a flat battery could be, that the board looses some flexability!? I never had a skateboard, and zero experience with e skateboards, but maybe I will buy one! Just for fun and riding to work. FYI, there seems to be a 2019 version of the SYL-08 which has some improvements over the 2018 version. nah the breaking is already waaayy to strong it just yanks you off the board and you cant regulate how much breaking force is put out
I brought the truck and motors from this kit, it's pretty good but I did have to modify it because there's no way to adjust the belts I will up load a video soon on my build 👍

hi i would like to ask wont you be afraid that the belt might drop out if lets say hit on to something or during acceleration or braking?
the belt just doesnt seem secure enough at the top with that little gear linking to the motor and it feels like if that little gear hits something it might bend and thats when the belt will keep sliding off

How's the remote connection? And how is the return policy on that site? I don't trust the remote on any of these cheap boards. Already got thrown off one cheap $300 Blitzart board going 15mph due to connection issues.
Lucky I got mine off Amazon, but it only had street wheels. Seems hard to find an offroad version with Amazon for some reason.

It's certified IP54 which means that it will resist to dust ingress and water splashes, but I wouldn't submerge it or ride it during a heavy rain storm... Well I probably wouldn't even if the board could ;)

From what I've seen, there are only one set of holes,
but you can just flip the board, so the motors are in the front.
Sure, "Front-wheel drive" doesn't sound sexy,
but some users claim, the thrust-balance between left & right motor
is more even. All I know is I can't wait to give mine a try 😁
i received my board today but the springs are way to heavy i can barely steer it to the right (lean forward) is possible but left (back) is not possible even if i fully strap everything to my feet and use all my body weight (60kg) ... so is there a way to adjust the suspension ?the manuel is only for the remote

the Part where the Gear from the Electro motor and the gear which is connected with the wheel through the V-belt is completely open ... so lets say if a samll pebble or something simular would fly inbetween those gears and v belt ... it would totally wreck your wheel and you could not move it at all anymore wich is fun. you know what else is fun? having this almost 20KG beast in the middle of nowhere stuck without working wheels... but hey this only happened twice bevore i threw it in the trash (500€ well invested btw) but you get a toolkit in the shipment wich you can use on the run! mhhh no .. this toolkit sucks so hard i dont know if it is even the right one for this board its so bad designed you cant even get at some screws with it. overall dont buy this it dosnt work offroad at all and took 6 month isntead of the listed 2 month of shiping. they never tell you where it is since they dont know themself! pls dont waste your money on this, it was no fun.

Hi, thanks for asking. For question 1 it will stop slowly and then going to the reverse direction; for question 2 if the battery runs out you can use it like a longboard theoretically as long as you have really strong feet, but we tried that seems really hard as the board is heavy :D

How to fix puncture on this thing?
