      electric longboards may not be as much of a workout, but they do still wear out your legs out after a while. you may not be kicking, but you still have to steer and counter-act inertial forces etc., so your legs are still doing a fair amount of work. it's like doing pushups vs. doing a sustained plank; one is definitely more intense, but both are still workouts.

    This is one of those things that you dont have to look up to know you cant afford

    • @swaroopajit
      @swaroopajit 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      But really though you can choose much cheaper components for a usable product, even in the video he said it's limited to 20% so getting components that have about 5kW would make it much more affordable and you'd still have a similar product. (You can avoid the machining costs altogether by not upgrading the wheels, if you're not going recklessly fast it'll be fine, I think.) You probably won't be needing to upgrade the batteries either, the speed controller and PCB is a necessity though.
      At the end of the day, it's a hobby, it's not going to be a financially sane decision, you'll lose some money, but the understanding is that it's something you like doing and is hence worth the money you spend on it.

    It needs a differential, I’m sure that it feels like shit when cornering

      It's meant for offroad so it makes sense to not have a differential, if they wanted to implement one they would need to make it manually lockable

      in theory it should handle well.. power to each end which pivots independently..

      Nah I'm with you bro, definitely needs a diff. They're gonna hit trails and fields they aren't rock crawling. Rally cars have diffs and that's the closest comparison in the motoring world

      @@sebastianozavan9888 it had four independent motors, so no need for a differential - it should work better than any differential, lockable or not.

      @@Dorench i thought most rally car had limited slip differentials, not open ones, but still i understand what you are saying
