    1. Buying a 10 kw skateboard
    2. Upgradeing it to 44 kw
    3. Turn it down to 8.8 kw because to much power

    • @LiveWire937
      @LiveWire937 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      electric longboards may not be as much of a workout, but they do still wear out your legs out after a while. you may not be kicking, but you still have to steer and counter-act inertial forces etc., so your legs are still doing a fair amount of work. it's like doing pushups vs. doing a sustained plank; one is definitely more intense, but both are still workouts.

    • @swaroopajit
      @swaroopajit 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      But really though you can choose much cheaper components for a usable product, even in the video he said it's limited to 20% so getting components that have about 5kW would make it much more affordable and you'd still have a similar product. (You can avoid the machining costs altogether by not upgrading the wheels, if you're not going recklessly fast it'll be fine, I think.) You probably won't be needing to upgrade the batteries either, the speed controller and PCB is a necessity though.
      At the end of the day, it's a hobby, it's not going to be a financially sane decision, you'll lose some money, but the understanding is that it's something you like doing and is hence worth the money you spend on it.

    Surprised I haven’t been able to find comments about the coupling shaft between the two pulleys on each side not being a good idea. Not sure how fast this thing can go, but 100km/h should be reasonable depending on the gear ratio... If you go max power from a standstill, it's going to throw you off.
